Dreaming In Clouds is the first single from British-American Progressive Metal band Aeons. This single marks the first official release from the heavy act and it's released through Bill Owens' own record company, Rever Music Recordings. The release is availalbe in three formats: CD, Digital Download and Limited-Edition 7" Picture Vynil.
The song was written by Bill Owens and was recorded at the Rever Studios (London) in April 2014. It's produced by the band's leader, Bill Owens.
This track is classic progressive metal song. It features a lot of rythm-changes and different voices, provided by three members of the band, creating a very mixed blench of styles.
"Well, here we are! Releasing our debut single and waiting for your reception. I wrote this tune several months ago, it was composed to be part of a second album by Anima, but as that never came true, I decided to put it on Aeons. It's a very progressive song, very influenced by huge acts like Mind, this is one of the catchiest songs on our upcoming album, one of the best chorous we could get! It's lyrics are very clear: they are about a man (or woman, why not?) that's searching for something, that something is really hard to describe, it's something inside of yourself...But this person is searching in the wrong places."

Arise like the Phoenix from the ashes,
and fly away pass the stars,
to find the path to the times,
when everything was still fine.
And now when you are still not certain,
what you are looking for,
the answers seem to be in a dream,
you see every night.
You are searching from the wrong places,
the answer it is inside of you,
you are dreaming in clouds trying to spread out,
your wings once more…
You open your eyes to see the bright light,
blinded by it you try to blink for awhile,
your eyes wont shut you cant see anymore,
you wonder now why you did it for.
Again you are climbing down the stairs,
dreaming you'll find what you're looking for,
and now you are a hundred years old.
Long gone youth, near memory in mind.
Priest asks what you long before you die,
in mind you only have one question.
Why I never found what I was looking for,
And I die without the answer.
