Brief Background

It's certainly been a while since we last heard of anything musically from Cinzia Ricci, aside from the surprises we got late last week. For ones who do know, Cinzia Ricci has been able to achieve super star status as one of the main prospects of "The House Movement" in 2011 and becoming the big breakout star from the group of electronic based artists. The others DJ Night who produced for Desiree, and DJ Cloud for Cinzia along with soloist Desiree Shapiro. They all experienced some type of success with Desiree Shapiro even branching off to do other types of music but has since been quiet as well and DJ Cloud and Night all seeming to have vanished completely. The true star was Cinzia Ricci, who before then was founded by record label Shooting Aces and after leaving the label the Italian sensation signed with then label, Shooting Star Records and stayed with the label until they closed in 2012. With the label, Cinzia Ricci certified herself as the proclaimed "Queen Of House" churning out hit after hit. Starting with Italian Hearted and going on to release numerous hits including Ride Of A Lifetime, Fist Pumps From Florence, The World Is Mine, and You Can't Stop Me Now just to name a few. Cinzia's debut album "What You've Been Waiting For" was massive and really catapulted Cinzia Ricci.

Following the release of the album, Cinzia released a Christmas EP and then re-released her debut album in early 2012 and has since been a staying factor in peoples brains and hearts but for a while, Cinzia disappeared. The House Movement folded in early 2012 and everyone drifted on to do other things. Cinzia stayed with DJ Cloud and DJ Night broke off with Desiree Shapiro who went onto garner some moderate success. Cinzia Ricci and DJ Cloud famously broke up in 2012 for reasons we still do not know of as of today and Cinzia continued to go on strong without him by her side. All people must move on right? For so long many have been wondering why and where Cinzia was and Cinzia has always been open about how she felt the pressure of being successful and the break up with DJ Cloud really caused her to shut down and want to return home and just enjoy life for a while. Following the break up with DJ Cloud, Cinzia released just one single "I Rather Die Alone" back in 2012 which skyrocked to the top of the charts and re-released What You've Been Waiting For and after a christmas EP and quietly returned to her country of Italy to spend time with family and really gain her love for the spotlight back again and resting up after a massive 130 date world tour. The exhausted Cinzia really needed a break and even though some thought the break would be for just a few months it winded up being much longer then expected and in 2014 Cinzia looks to be coming full force.

At the Fan Choice Awards 2014 Cinzia made a surprise appearence not only on the red carpet but during the show, promising new music soon and she wasn't lying. In mid 2013, Cinzia began working on a secret project with respectful DJ Paul Van Dyke among others to really start this comeback to play. Cinzia felt that she was finally ready to get back in the spotlight and stated many times that the only reason why she didn't want to quit music was because of her genuine love for the art and of course, her fans. At the award ceremony she announced a single "Burning Desire" and promised a new album was on the way and of course Cinzia fans were massively excited to hear that nearly after two years, the person they have grown to know and love was finally on her way back! Also in September, Cinzia was announced as a performer for Fall Festival and Cinzia being promoting her comeback to the stage via Twitter, announcing that "Burning Desire" would be premiered and performed for the first time there. Fall Festival took place last week Oct of 2014, and Cinzia stormed the stage giving a show stopping performance. The set, which included Cinzia's most beloved hits was a highlight not only for those in attendance but many at home with her receiving a large amount of praise via twitter. Song Description and Composition

"Burning Desire" is the first official single release by electronic music artist and music song writer Cinzia Ricci in over 2 years and will be available on November 2nd 2014. The track, which was produced by Cinzia Ricci along with electronic dance music producer Paul Van Dyke is also the leading single from Ricci's new album entitled "What I've Become" and it will be the followup to 2012's "What You've Been Waiting For: Ride Of A Lifetime Edition", the hit re-release of Cinzia's debut album "What You've Been Waiting For". Cinzia has stated that over the years that she's been out of the spotlight she has of course become a stronger person and has experienced some changes as anyone human would in the span of two years and with the album, she will be really giving the listeners a trip on who she has become since the release of What You've Been Waiting For, and she instantly fell in love with the concept and so named her new album "What I've Become". Burning Desire gives the fans of Cinzia Ricci a taste of what they have been missing as she mixes the heavy elements of electronic dance music and house music with her cooling voice and a rigid, lightly aggressive tune where you can feel Cinzia's vocals and true personality oozing through the beats and she proclaims the listener very early on.

Burning Desire is the perfect song to really catch everyone's attention when making a return, it's fresh, captivating and calls the attention of the listener right away. Soon as the heavy beats start off, Cinzia wastes no time giving listeners a taste of the voice they've been waiting to hear. Cinzia starts the track off with simple vocal riffs that sound much like she's humming. The beats are rigid and sharp and Cinzia continues with these notes for about 10 seconds when the beats breaks to a slow and dance like ballad backing beat. Cinzia's signature vocals come over the track like the true vocalist that she is as she sings about desire and satisfaction. As Cinzia continues singing you can easily hear the track is rising up for something big. When it comes from the dance break, Cinzia sat with Paul Van Dyke for nearly three days coming up with the initial sound of the track. She wanted something big, but not too overwhelming for her listeners and she made sure to not only bring it production wise with Paul, but vocally as well and it's shown. Not only in the verses but during the chorus as well.

When Cinzia says the last word of "higher" her voice echoes away and then she starts again with the catchy vocal harmonizes as the songs quickly rises to it's chorus. When the chorus blasts on, you can easily feel yourself drift away in the beats as Cinzia belts out the chorus of the song over the big electronic dance break. Cinzia's vocals are massive and she easily doesn't get lost in the big electronic beats, making it obvious that this is Cinzia Ricci, who has always been a pro at what she does. After she repeats the chorus twice, the song slows back down to it's ballad like beat, where Cinzia's robotic but sensual and enjoyable voice continues to sing the next verse of the song. For the second verse, Cinzia continues to sing about the desire for the nightlife and the desire for another person. She continues to sing as the song breaks in the chorus once more. Following the chorus, she sings the bridge which is repetitive and really lets the listener get a true taste of the production and Cinzia vocals. Following the bridge the track breaks in the chorus once more, with the beats sounding bigger then they did previously, and finally Cinzia finalizes the song with the slowing backing beat and her harmonizes as the song comes to a scorching finish.

Promotion and Live Performances

Prior to it's release, the title of the track "Burning Desire" has been floating around for some time. First being promoted on Cinzia's website with no initial release date. The song was then brought to light once again during the Fan Choice Awards where Cinzia gave an interview explaining that the song was finished and would be premiering in the the upcoming weeks. The single was promoted and performed at the Fall Festival on Friday October 24th where Cinzia not only gave an interview on the state of her return, explaining that the album was nearly done and then going onto performing a 10 song set at the show, and ended the set with the first performance of Burning Desire.
