[OOC: So I was gone for a min but I am back. Instead of getting right back to work with the Tisha album I've decided to HAVE FUN and do a story line explaining Tisha's 3 weeks out of the public eye, which is equivalent to my 3 week ban. Please read, and I hope you all enjoy ;)]

The day is Thursday, October 21, 2014. 2014 has been a triumphant but a difficult year for Tisha Jackson. She released her eighth album as a surprise without any promotion for it to receive critical and commercial acclaim; however, she’s had her low moments this year. Jackson has never publically talked revealed or addressed it, but she has been in and out of court in Santa Monica and New York this year to get restraining order on a crazed fan, Joel Silverman.
In 2007 Jackson purchased a modest home in a gated Santa Monica community after she signed her first record deal. In 2012 she sold her Santa Monica residence and moved back to her home town of New York City. When asked why she choose to move back home she stated, “Hollywood is a plastic town, filled with plastic people who have no souls. I couldn’t take it anymore. The only time I would ever come there is for working or networking purposes.”
However what Jackson didn’t disclose is that she had to place a restraining order on a eighteen year old boy named, Joel Silverman. Joel is a crazed fan who wrote Jackson hundreds of letters explaining how he wanted to murder Jackson and have sex with her mutated corpse. In one of his letters Silverman writes; “I am going to ring your doorbell in the wee hours of the morning, and stab in in your belly once you open the door. From there you will collapse on the ground and I will carry you on my shoulder. I will take you to the bedroom where I will slice open your belly and rip out you’re lower intestines. After you stop breathing I will then penetrate your lifeless body and ejaculate inside of you”.
A disgusted Jackson took all of his letters to a Santa Monica court room and presented them to a judge. The judge dismissed her case siting that Silverman never met her physically or physically harmed her. However two months later Silverman showed up on Jackson’s doorstep and revealed his true identity to her. Luckily Jackson was entertaining guest when Silverman grabbed her, as Jackson screamed for help her bodyguards who were about to leave rescued her from Silverman. She explained to them that he was the fan who sent her all those crazy letters. The bodyguards detained him outside and called the police.
The next morning Jackson went to the police station and filed a restraining order. They granted her a six month restraining order saying that Silverman couldn’t be within a 350 yard setting of Jackson. Jackson believed her troubles were over when she moved to New York until in Summer of 2014 the now 20 year old Silverman showed up in the lobby of her New York residence requesting to see her. He was denied access but waited outside for Jackson to exit the building. When Jackson exited the build Silverman launched in front of her SUV and attacked one of her bodyguards (Nate “Superman” Johnson). Jackson’s other bodyguard (Darren Edwards) reported to police, after they made a citizen’s arrest on Silverman, that mad a ’38 pistol in his back pocket. Silverman was placed in upstate NY Jail for 37 days and released. Jackson was infuriated and asked the judge to extend his sentence, however the Judge refused.
Things began to settle down until the night of October 21, 2014 when Jackson and seven of her entourage members were being driven in a SUV. In the SUV included Jackson, her sister, Estefanie, her two body guards, her stylist, and two of her photographers. In back of them were other members of Jackson’s team including her hairstylist and one of her label executives/close friend.
A 2014 cut in front of the SUV Jackson was riding in and out walks Jackson’s crazed fan Joel Silverman. Jackson yelled “OH MY GOD”! Before her bodyguards get out of the car he shoots out the tires in Jackson’s SUV. It is a big commotion. The bodyguards tackle him and they have a tussle with the gun. Jackson’s bodyguard who she nicknamed Superman retrieves the gun and throws it in a field. Jackson and every member of her team get out of the car and proceed to jump Silverman.
Silverman is knocked out unconscious, here is the 911 call explaining the scene.
OPERATOR: 911. WHAT IS YOU’RE EMERGENCY.
TISHA: HI, I WAS DRIVING OFF INTERSTATE 495 AND A MAN PULLED UP IN FRONT OF THE SUV I WAS IN AND SHOT OUT MY TIRES.
OPERATOR: MA’M WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE SHOT OUT YOUR TIRES?
TISHA: HE PULLED OUT A GUN AND SHOT AT THE FRONT WHEELS OF THE SUV.
[COMMOTION AND SCREAMING IN THE BACKGROUND]
*GET HIS ASS. FUCK HIM UP*
OPERATOR: WHERE IS THE GUNMAN?
TISHA: MY FRIENDS HAVE HIM ON THE GROUND.
OPERATOR: WHERE IS THE GUN?
TISHA: MY BODYGUARD THROUGH IT IN THE WOODS.
OPERATOR: YOU ARE CALLING FROM LONG –
[TISHA CUTS THE OPERATOR OFF]
TISHA: I NEED A OFFICER HERE IMMEDIATELY, IT IS NOT SAFE.
OPERATOR: MA’M YOU ARE CALLING OFF INTERSTATE 495 IN LONG ISLAND NY?
TISHA: CORRECT.
OPERATOR: AN OFFICER WILL BE THERE SHORTLY. MEANWHILE HANG ON AND MAKE SURE HE DOESN’T HAVE ANY WEAPONS.
TISHA: YOU NEED….. [TISHA YELLS AT HER BODYGUARDS]
*FRANTIC SCREAMING AND COMMOTION*
TISHA: MAKE SURE HE HAS NO MORE WEAPONS.
OPERATOR: IS THE GUNMAN ALIVE?
TISHA: I BELIEVE SO, HE IS UNCONCIOUS, THEY KNOCKED HIM OUT.
OPERATOR: WHO?
TISHA: MY BODYGUARDS.
OPERATOR: ARE YOU A PUBLIC FIGURE?
TISHA: I PREFER NOT TO SAY.
OPERATOR: AN OFFICER WILL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY.
TISHA: [BREAKS DOWN CRYING] OKAY.
OPERATOR: MA’M EVERYTHING WILL BE SETTLED, I NEED YOU TO RELAX.
*FIVE MINUTES AFTER THE 911 CALL, OFFICERS ARRIVE*
Jackson and her team explained what happened, and that Silverman has tried to do this before. Silverman is rushed to a nearby hospital in a coma. Jackson and her team are forced to head to a police station. They arrive at the station and give an account of the events. An hour later police arrest Jackson and her two bodyguards.
Silverman wasn’t charged with anything after waking up from a three day coma and was ordered to receive treatment at a mental facility. Meanwhile Jackson and her body guards Johnson and Edwards were sentenced to 26 days in a Suffolk county jail.
Jackson has received an outcry of support from her fans and organizations like the NAACP, who feel that the law has not served justice for Jackson who was attacked three times by the predator, Joel Silverman. They also feel that Silverman’s actions have been swept under the rug due to his skin color,
“Mental illness is taken with high regard with the white population, however when a person of color is mentally ill they are labeled as a “thug”. Tisha Jackson, Darren Edwards, and Nate Johnson, have been attacked on three separate occasions by Joel Silverman and the court system ignored Silverman’s actions all three times. With my help and the help of the NAACP and organizations like it, we will bring justice to Ms. Jackson, Mr. Edwards, and Mr.Johnson. #JUSTICE4TISHA” -REV.
