Released: November 29th, 2014Format: Digital downloadRecorded: 2014Genre: R&BLength: 3:42Writer(s): Rico Love, Katriel Comyns, Nadia BerryProducer(s): Layla RaineSong Description & BackgroundDon't Have To Say A Word Remix is a song from Pop singer Kato which features Nadia Berry, production from Layla Raine and songwriting from Rico Love and Kato. The track is the third single to be released from his upcoming album. The single has more of an R&B and a disco influence to it, similar to a Marvin Gaye track. Lyrically, the song is about appreciating a woman and knowing he doesn't have to always talk about her for people to see how amazing she is. The smooth groove of the song, gives Kato a more mature sound compared to his previous material. It kicks off with a round of steady drumbeats, setting the listener up for an fun ride of simple lyrics and a great beat to dance to. The track is oozing with funky synths and slow burning disco melodies. Kato pulls out his falsetto for the chorus, adding to the song's '70s flavor, all while keeping things contemporary with a driving, synthetic drumbeat.
Although the single was perfect before, Kato teamed up with Girl Spice front woman, Nadia Berry, to make it really blow our minds. The relaxed fit is a prime example of when two great artists come together to make an unprecedented collaboration in the name of music. Kato keeps the basics for the track but includes Nadia's vocals and verse to give it an extra Pop push. Her sexy tone plays to the theme Kato was searching for and gives it a boost of self-esteem if it didn't have it before. Nadia takes on the second verse, all new lyrics than before, as she plays with the idea of being the perfect girl for Kato as well as feeling lucky herself. She then continues on with the original lyrics but adding a little of herself to make them stand out. The two of them then join together for the rest of the song to sing the chorus and they bounce back and forth between one another. Critics agree that the single was wonderful before but adding Nadia Berry could never really hurt. Culture Uncut thinks, "Their chemistry is great, even if their first time working together. You can tell it's not forced just to try and get another hit but there's a real, shared love for the song and respect between the two Pop singers." Hearing the two of them sing together is enough to fall in love with the single all over again.Kato Nadia Together[Verse 1] I like when you put on that tiny dress And let your hair down, you do it best You don't need all of that make up Been perfect since you first woke up
[Chorus] It's unfair to be bragging, can't get you out of my head I've been through so many loves, always been put to the test So please excuse my behavior, if I'm acting selfish There's not a thing you haven't heard But I don't have to say a word
You're way too damn beautiful For me not to appreciate But sometimes, I don't have to say a word You're way too damn beautiful For me not to appreciate But sometimes, I don't have to say a word
[Verse 2: Nadia Berry] You're lookin' like you've won the lottery Stole my heart like daylight robbery Cause even when I'm feeling a mess You put my worries to rest And baby, the feelings are mutual Whenever you call me beautiful So go ahead and brag, shout it to the world But you don't have to say a word
[Bridge] Just the thought of you is enough And to have you to myself is just too much But I'll manage to give you all my love Even when I know what you're capable of
[Chorus] It's unfair to be bragging, can't get you out of my head I've been through so many loves, always been put to the test So please excuse my behavior, if I'm acting selfish There's not a thing you haven't heard But I don't have to say a word
You're way too damn beautiful For me not to appreciate (ohh baby) But sometimes, I don't have to say a word You're way too damn beautiful (I don't have to) For me not to appreciate (You don't have to) But sometimes, I don't have to say a word
Oh, (Sometimes) I don't have to say a word Oh, (Sometimes) (I don't have to say, have to say a word!) I don't have to say a word
