"Games" is the fourth single from R&B/Pop singer AJ which also features Punk Cabaret singer/songwriter Nichole Shade some might think this is an odd combination since the artists both come from to completely different genres of music however the song all goes together pretty well Nichole's low vocals go perfectly with the slower beat as do AJ's rap verses which brings me to another thing people aren't really use to seeing AJ just rap in a song and even though he may not be a Deneil or Isaac Lovelock he isn't half bad it really fits his style and hopefully he'll do a bit more rapping when a full album comes out the song itself speaks of being a celebrity your name is always in the magazines and people are usually talking about you and coming up with rumors and most believe what is said and despite seeing all of this people still want it all AJ and Nichole are two people who have been under a lot of pressure due to the media Nichole has been talked about since she started and AJ has been going through it since the age of 16 so it makes sense for these two to make this song all in all this song is different for both artists so you wouldn't expect something amazing and while it's not perfect it definitely did exceed some expectations

AJ's Comments

"So this is completely different for me doing a rap song quoting a rock legend and featuring a punk artist but I'm really happy with the way it came out Nichole is a very talented person and her lyrics are dope she's a genius tbh I wanted her on this song because she's been through some pretty crazy shit and had some pretty bad stuff said about her I've been through some similar things so yeah this song also has a bit of a darker sound to it that I thought her voice would fit perfectly and I'm glad she agreed to do this song because I don't think anybody else could really deliver the chorus the way she does I also think I did my thing on the rapping I'm glad the way that came out hopefully I get the chance to work with Nichole again in the future I also hope that some people can connect with this song whether they're a celebrity or a fan or just somebody who happened to hear this on the radio anyway thanks again to Nichole and Kurt Cobain (RIP) for some of the lyrics to this song anyway enjoy"



Nichole's Comments

"I know that celebrities are spoken about on a day-to-day basis - sometimes good, sometimes bad - and yeah, when you're in the public eye, you have to get used to that. But nobody ever stops to think about how that effects us as people. That's the thing about always being in tabloids, releasing music, having merchandise... people start thinking about you as merchandise rather than as a person. At first, when AJ's people approached my people about doing this song, I was hesitant. I have done collaborations before, of course, but never with a rapper. I wasn't even sure what somebody like him would want with the type of music that I make. But after AJ told me what the song was about, I couldn't tell him no. I personally have been backstabbed, shit-talked, and publicly ridiculed by other celebrities and media alike. AJ says it exactly the way it is: In this world "nobody gives a fuck about you." And yeah, you can act like you don't give a shit back, but come on. Humans can only live like that for so long before they lose it. Songs like this are needed to make others see what it's like. And no, and I'm not expecting for this to cause a revolution in the way the media portrays celebrities, but AJ's at least starting a dialogue with this. And sometimes that's all it takes."
