Story

Part 1 > Some Dreams Come True

The story begins with Wendy Darling telling her two little brothers John and Michael a fairytale about a young orphan boy named Peter, as the children are tucked into bed on a cold winter’s night she recite’s the tale that has been told for over one hundred years spanning a number of generations, “So come with me where dreams are born and time is never planned, just think of happy things and your heart will fly on wings, forever in Never Never Land” she says while her brother’s eyes sparkle with wonder at the age old tale. As the sixteen year old finishes telling the story to her younger siblings, she tucks them in, closes the bedroom window and whispers “goodnight” as they begin to drift off to sleep with just the blue and green glow of a tiny nightlight in the corner of the room.

Suddenly Wendy is awoken by three gentle taps at the window, she cautiously walks over towards the window and opens the curtains to see the image of the young boy from the fairytales. She rubs her eyes in shock before opening the window, allowing the young boy dressed in green into the bedroom. “Who are you?” she asks, “It’s me, Peter!” the boy replies instantly. At first Wendy imagines that she’s just dreaming, making her way back into her bed and rubbing her eyes a couple more times before she comes to the realisation that she is very much awake.
Peter sits down on a toybox in the room and tries to explain to Wendy why he’s here, “My little fairy friend told me that you read my story every single night.” he says with a child-like grin on his face, “She also said that you wished that I was real and that you wished Never Never Land was real, but she also said that you don’t believe it is.” he continues, as Wendy confirms that it’s her favourite story but she doesn’t believe it’s true, she queries why Peter is here, he simply replies, “To make you believe!” he continues on, “You’re too young not to believe.” she shrugs it off and points out that she’s too old to believe in fairytales. Peter’s face turns a little annoyed and it looks like he’s about to say something before a little ball of glowing light flies through the window and into the bedroom, it’s flying around the room frantically as Peter follows it and attempts to catch it, the noise wakes up the little brothers.

Finally Peter catches the little neon ball of energy and holds it out in his hand, “What is it, Tink?” he asks as it’s revealed that it’s in fact a small fairy named Tinkerbell, “You need to come back Peter, Hook is looking for you and the lost boys.” she says. Peter asks Wendy to join him, promising to make her believe, she refuses and Peter says if Wendy won’t join him then he won’t be going back. This annoys Tinkerbell and she starts whizzing around the room, causing chaos everywhere before Peter finally convinces Wendy with the promise that she’ll be home before sunrise, the one condition is that they take both Michael and John too.

Part 2 > Welcome to Never Never Land

Peter, Wendy, John, Michael and Tinkerbell make their way to the Neverland island where they’re not greeted by their band of brothers ‘The Lost Boys’ but instead an eerie quietness in their small base deep inside the woods. They search high and low for The Lost Boys but they’re nowhere to be seen and it’s not until their journey leads them to the water’s edge an area where The Lost Boys are usually forbidden to visit when they find out where the Lost Boys have gone. The water’s edge is the area of Neverland where only the mermaids and indians are located. While Peter and the Lost Boys and all of their shenanigans are limited to the wooden area’s of the island, the mermaids and indians are limited to the edges of the island and of course Captain Hook and his pirates dominate the sea.

They find a young indian girl named Tiger-Lily who despite being told not to speak to any outsiders informs Peter that The Lost Boys were taken by Hook and his pirates and Peter begins planning on how to rescue his brothers, he’s limited though with Wendy, John and Michael not being part of this world, but Tiger-Lily offers to join them on the journey and a helpful young mermaid name Coralia also decides to help Peter, her being limited to sea means that she can make her way to the ship unnoticed while Peter and the others distract The Pirates. Thusly a plan is hatched for the rescue of The Lost Boys.

They set out on their journey to the boat, Coralia swims underwater and locates the boat relatively quickly. The Lost Boys are locked under deck and Coralia manages to get the attention of them underwater as they see her through the plastic window. She can’t be heard through the plastic though so they are unaware of her intention to help save them. Meanwhile above water, Peter and his friends manage to locate the ship not too far out from the shore, they fly low and manage sneak onto the deck beginning the battle.

Part 3 > This is it Boys, This is War

Peter, Wendy, Michael, John and Tiger-Lily capture the attention of The Pirates while Tinkerbell sneakily finds her way below deck to inform The Lost Boys of their rescue plan. She finds a tiny gap in the boat where two of The Lost Boys can escape into the sea, Prentiss and Nato. This leads to them being taken underwater by Coralia and ushered towards the shore, not without adventure as they’re forced to escape from the problematic crocodile, but they manage to escape unscathed and one of The Lost Boys ‘Prentiss’ the second-in-command to Peter bonds with Coralia, her fesity attitude connects with his boyish nature.
Prentiss and Nato make their way to the shore and then back to their home in the wooden area to retrieve homemade weapons before bringing them to the ship, the problem is that Wendy, John and Michael have been found and taken underdeck wih The Lost Boys, leaving Peter and the fesity young indian girl Tiger-Lily to fight, they appear to be outnumbered and struggling to battle with the Pirates but the arrival of Prentiss and Nato, they have a chance once more. Finally they begin a fightback against the Pirates and as the Pirates begin to fall the numbers start to move in Peter’s favour.

However underdeck, Hook has arrived capturing Tinkerbell, he makes his way back upstairs and places Tinkerbell in a jar in his room while watching the battle unfold on deck. Finally as it appears that Peter and his friends have outnumbered the Pirates, Hook walks out onto deck, “Well, well ... If it isn’t Peter Pan!” he says as he squares off against the boy, Hook promises to finally put an end to Peter and his Lost Boys and the two battle furiously as the remaining pirates and Prentiss, Nato and Tiger-Lily battle it out on deck. Finally The Pirates are defeated, some dead, some overboard, leaving only Hook to battle with Peter.
Nato heads upstairs and rescues Tinkerbell and the tiny fairy confronts Hook who swings his sword at her but can’t catch her due to her size, Prentiss and Tiger-Lily are watching on as Peter and Hook battle but Prentiss hears the familiar voice of Coralia coming from the sea, Tiger-Lily tells Prentiss to go see Coralia, “Go Prentiss! ... Be with the girl.” Prentiss leaps overboard and into the sea, embracing the young mermaid and the pair watch on from below as Peter and Hook continue to battle. Peter has captain hook on the back foot and is edging the Pirate towards the ridges of the ship, Hook and Peter then find themselves on the plank and continue to cross swords back and forth with Hook being ushered closer to the very edge of the plank, Hook swipes his sword towards Peter but narrowly misses the boy who lunges his sword towards Hook who leaps backwards and thusly falling off the plank and into the sea, quickly circled by a swarming crocodile Hook is seen being dragged underneath the water and his demise is final.
To end things out Peter stands on the ship beside his cohorts with the exception of Prentiss and Coralia watching on from the edges of the sea, the image of Prentiss and Coralia closing out the entire play perhaps indicating an original story as a follow-up in the future.

OOC: I’m looking for people to sign-up to play the characters listed. All of the other characters will just be assumed by random extra’s. Also I’m looking at having Amy then develop an original story from this which will feature ‘Prentiss’ and ‘Coralia’ so their roles are actually a lot more important than they may appear to be at the moment. So, if you wanna nominate your people to play any of those characters listed then please PM me. The initial run will be from May to July but I’ll be looking at taking it further but right now I’m just looking for people to commit to the initial May to July run. In addition, if you feel you can write a song for your character based on this story then that will definitely be a positive thing and it would be included in the official soundtrack and possibly even released as a single at some point.
