Taken from her 2014 debut album ‘Hotel Miami’ it marks the sixth single released by the musician. Rumours appear to indicate that this could be the final single to be released from her debut album as she heads into the new year with the intention of shifting focus to a world tour alongside GirlSpice and to begin writing the songs for her sophomore album which is expected in late 2015. After a slow start in the music industry, Miami has gone on to become one of the most succesfull hip-hop artists in the industry, her debut album has dominated the hip-hop charts ever since it’s release earlier in the year and it’s helped establish Miami as a future star. Her latest effort shows a side to Miami’s music which we’re yet to see from her previous singles as she embraces passion and love, recently Miami had this to say about the track; “I think you gotta have a wide range of topics and theme’s to write about and I’ve tried to showcase that with every single that I’ve released so far. I get myself in a headspace where I’ll write songs like Family Nightmares and Slurred Preach, which are both sorta serious tracks, ya know? To write those sort of tracks take some real emotional vulnerability and then you get tracks like Pawn and Blood Rush which are so much more fun, Pawn was tongue-in-cheek and just supe fun to record and Blood Rush was the same sort of vibe. Blood Rush is just about sexual liberation, we all have times when we just need that moment of abandon, that release and that’s pretty much what the song is about.”The track was written by Miami and produced alongside Christian Fallon, it will be released through ‘Songs to Love and Die By’ on 21 December, 2014 as a CD Single, Digital Download and made available for Weekly Airplay with the release of the official video coming sometime within the next two weeks.
