Aubrey struts down the street in her slightly-above-the-knee length floral dress and floral patterned heels, making her way towards the diner that she had suggested she and Matt meet at. It had been a while since they had last seen each other, and although she didn't want to seem like she was too excited to see him again, she had worn one of her best day dresses to this little breakfast date, so that definitely had to say something about the amount of eagerness she had towards them going out again. Before she rounds the corner that would put her in front of the diner, she stops and checks her hair and make up in the window of one of the little stores on the street. It was only 8AM, but Aubrey had already worked out, cleaned up a little around her apartment, taking her dog for a walk, and made a couple smoothies to drink for lunch before she got ready to head to this date. But now with her brown hair wrapped in a loose bun, tiny stringlets of hair rebelliously peaking out from behind her head, her makeup impeccable - as always - she felt like she just simply wasn't given enough time to get ready. But she shrugs and continues on, reaching the diner and letting herself in a little after Matt arrives. Life was too short to care too much about how you looked when there wasn't anything you could do about it.<p>

She notices him almost immediately, sitting alone at the table he had picked for them. "Hello there," she says with a wide smile as she walks over to him, giving a little wave to their waitress as she does. "It's good to see you again. Finally." She laughs, stopping at their table, offering her arms out to him for a small hug.

When Matt's coffee arrives, he smiles and lets out a happy sigh. "Ah cheers, love. You're a bloody gem," he laughs, dropping two large cubes of sugar into the cup and stirring it intently. When a person had enjoyed as many crazy nights as he and Kai had in their younger days, tricks to get rid of the cobwebs of tiredness were like second nature. He sits back in his chair eventually and takes a long drink of the coffee, sighing loudly. Matt was such a laid back guy that he didn't see the odd looks his antics drew from the other diners. Quickly sipping down the rest of his coffee to wake him up with a caffeine hit, Matt puts the cup down and rubs his hand over his stomach. It was a welcoming warming feeling from the coffee that seemed to wake him up more than anything. He's just about to order another coffee when he hears someone come in the door and looks up. He smiles immediately when he sees Aubrey. It really had been far too long since she had seen her. She seemed to light up the room with her smile and her beauty, and it was all Matt could do not to stare like a loser at her. Sometimes it was hard to believe someone so truly beautiful was into him. In his eyes she seemed so out of his league.

Standing to greet her, Matt smiles and hugs Aubrey. "Hey. Aye, long time no see," he says, feeling suddenly nervous about their date. Standing back, he grins at her. "You look...wow. Very beautiful," he says honestly. "How have you been?" he asks, holding a seat out for her.

Aubrey grins, giving Matt a small, but tight, squeeze as they hug. Dating had always been something that Aubrey did simply because it was expected of her. In school, she had dated a couple of guys in student council, and a few football players, but her heart was never really in any of those short-lived relationships. She simply participated in them because it was expected of her, and tickets to school dances were cheaper if you bought two. Matt was really the first guy that she had ever gone out with that she as actually excited about. Maybe that had been her problem in high school and college - she had been dating the straight-laced guys, and not the rockers that she was really attracted to.

She flashes a bright smile at him and then does a little turn, showing off the dress that she was wearing when he tells her she looks beautiful. "Thank you. You look handsome yourself," she says back, giving him another quick hug before sitting down in the chair he pulls out for her. "I've been great. Just, you know, working... like always. What about you?" Her hand finds one of the small menus, and she picks it up, flipping through the pages until she gets to the breakfast menu. "I hope this wasn't too early for you. I forget that not everybody wakes up at the crack of dawn, like I do." She giggles.

Matt hugs her and sighs happily. Aubrey smelled great, classy as with everything else about her. This was so different for Matt. Most of the girls he had been with were just the typical groupie types that hung around anyone who ever even suggested they were in a band, so actual dates were something relatively new to him, even now. Aubrey was so different too. She was much more mature and classy. It was nice to be around someone so cultured and amazing.

When Aubrey does a little spin, Matt laughs quietly, trying hard not to stare at her legs. He might not have been brought up posh, but he knew his manners, and staring was definitely bad manners. "You're so cute," he smirks. "Handsome? Well there's a first time for owt," he chuckles. "But thank you. I even picked it out meself," he jokes before giving her another hug and sitting down opposite her. "Working hard as always? You lot always seem to be working on your music," he smirks. "Me? Nah, not much like. Oh, aye we did a wee UK tour a few weeks ago. That were nice," he smiles, looking down at the menu. "If I was honest...I'm not normally up this early. When the clock said AM I wondered if that stood for American," he jokes. "But I don't mind getting up so early for someone so special," he smiles, sneaking a glance over at Aubrey.

Aubrey giggles again and winks when Matt tells her that she's cute, pleased to be racking up the compliments from him, especially since she had been afraid before she arrived that she wasn't looking her best. "Oh, stop, I'm sure I'm now the first person to tell you that you're handsome," she says earnestly, giving him a smile. She found his hoodie and jeans pairing much more attractive than any polo and khakis look that so many of the upper class people she had been around since she was born sported.

"I know, I know," she says back when Matt tells her that Aubrey and her group always seem to be working on their music. It was something that had heard from her family as well. "A wee UK tour? How'd that go?" she asks, trying to take the focus off of her and onto him. She'd much rather hear about Matt's touring fun than talk about what she and the girls had been up to. Aubrey wished that she had the ability to live the rockstar lifestyle, like she was sure Matt and his band did, but she would never really fit in with that group. She just didn't have the look or demeanor to pull it off. She laughs at his AM joke, her laughter softening into a smile when he tells her that he didn't mind getting up early for someone so special. They had only gone out together a few times before, but the attraction they had for each other was apparent and clear. It made Aubrey almost dizzy to hear him say that he thought of her as special. "Well... thank you," she says back softly, meeting his eyes as they both glance at each other from over her menu. "Although I promise next time, I'll try to plan a date a bit later in the day." She grins.

"Well, no, not the first person to tell me it. But I do much prefer compliments from women who in't me mam," he jokes, winking at her and laughing. Aubrey was so easy to get along with and Matt always felt great when she was around. He had ever since that first day when a stroke of luck had seen her need his help when she hurt her ankle. "But thanks again. Sometimes we lads just need a little bit of an who boost," he says with a little laugh as he jokingly flutters his eyelashes at her. He hoped she knew he really did appreciate her compliment.

"Aye, I wish we had that work ethic in our band. Took us like 2 years to write this new EP," he laughs. "So when will we be hearing more of your new stuff?" when she asks about the tour, he puffs his cheeks out and sits back, laughing. "It were good, aye. A bit mental at times, but hey what tour isn't? First time we sold out in London an all, which were nice." Matt casts his mind back to the tour, which ironically he could remember very little of thanks to the copious amounts of beer he had ingested and the almost inhuman amount of hours he had slept per day on the road. After he calls her special, there's that brief moment of doubt in Matt's mind about whether or not he said the right thing. Spending time around Aubrey was amazing every time they had met up, but even though they had a few dates, there was nothing official between them yet and he didn't want to scare her away by being too forward. When she thanks him though, he looks down and smiles a little, before bringing his gaze up to meet hers for a second. He felt a little spark as they looked at each other for a moment and he smiles softly at her. "I don't mind. Although if somewhere served breakfast after midday that would be grand," he jokes. "What are you having?"

Aubrey rests her elbow on the table, setting her face in the palm of her hand as she listens to Matt, grinning at him the whole time. She was trying her best not to look like a teenage girl who was hanging around her crush, but she knew that's exactly how she was coming off. Her never-fading grin said it all. She laughs and flicks a grain of salt that had been left on the table from the previous diners towards Matt, giving him a little wink when he jokingly flutters his eyelashes at her.

"Um, probably never," she says back when Matt asks when he'll be hearing more of Cherry Street's new stuff. She smiles a bit more to show that she's joking before looking down at the table again. "Kidding, but probably not any time soon. We're starting to feel... I don't know, burnt out, I guess. We did too much at one time. So we're taking it easy for now." She shrugs and looks back up at him, biting the side of her lip. "What about you guys? When are we going to hear anything from you?" She winks. Hearing about his tour made her smile, and she nods as if she totally understood how crazy touring could be. All of the tours that she and the group had gone on had all been relatively calm, and if there was any chaos, it had been pretty well-contained. Sometimes she thought she and the girls were a little too mature (or cynical) to be really be having the musician/tour experience. "That's awesome, congrats. Are you going off again any time soon?"

She curls her bottom lip into her mouth and lightly bites down as she and Matt look at each other, feeling that romantic tension between the two of them. Neither one of them would ever be able to deny it - not that Aubrey would anyway. She's reminded that she was supposed to be looking for something to eat when Matt asks what she's having, and averts her eyes back to the menu. "Oh, I don't know... Are you going to think I'm a total fatass if I order, like, five pancakes and eat them all in front of you? Because that's sounding really good right now."

Matt smiles when Aubrey winks at him. She was so incredibly cute when they got together, and he loved the way she would look at him. It made a nice change to know someone was as interested in him as he was in tjem, and it made a change from always being asked by people who he talked to "what's it like being mates with Kai?" He smiles at her again, just letting her know how happy he was to be there.

"Never? Well at least that's less competition for us when we bring stuff out anyway," he jokes and then nods when Aubrey says she felt burnt out. "I wish I knew what that felt like. We never seem to do owt in our band. You lot have been a massive success though. You must be well proud of all you've done so far. You probably deserve a little break." when Aubrey asks when she might hear some of Matt's music, he feels strangely nervous. It was pretty obvious he was into her, and it made him nervous at the thought of her hearing hin play in case she thought it terrible. "Ummm I think it'll be out in the spring, like. I tracked drums ages ago so it just needed some production work and that. I'm hoping it'll sound alright, like." when she sounded interested in his tour, Matt smiles at her. Aubrey was a great listener and she always seemed interested in what he had to say, which was a nice change from most of the girls he knew. "Again? Nah we probably won't go out until the summer on another tour. We did Warped last year so we might try our own American tour this year. How about you?"

In the few moments where the two are staring into each other's eyes, it seems like time stops. Matt had clearly been into Aubrey since they met, but he had never made a move to ask if she felt the same, even though there was this obvious chemistry between the two. When she quickly looks back at the menu when he asks the question, Matt curses himself for ruining their moment, shaking his head at himself. "If you wanna have five pancakes, bang on, love. I don't think anything could make you look like a fatass," he chuckles. "I were gonna have a burger, but then I remembered we're having breakfast at a real time and they in't gonna sell me that," he laughs. "I think I'll have bacon and eggs."

Aubrey scrunches her eyebrows together and lets out a full laugh, drawing the attention of a couple of people sitting around them. She knew what Matt meant by competition, but the idea of her group and his band being anything like competition for each other was hilarious to her. "Truly. Maybe, finally, when Cherry Street back off, the critics will stop comparing our sound to yours," she jokes, giving him a little wink. Their two bands sounded nothing alike, of course, which was the way Aubrey wanted to keep it. She couldn't imagine what it was like for artist couples who really were in the same genre and had to compete with each other - not that Aubrey and Matt were an official couple, but if they ever were, that would be a hurdle they wouldn't have to worry about. "Awww, thank you," she says with a smile when he tells her that she and the rest of her group deserve a little break. It was nice to hear that somebody appreciated what they were doing. Cherry Street had amassed a fan following, but the indie pop girl group image was one that wasn't well-defined, so it was difficult to appeal to most of the average radio listeners. Aubrey was glad that she seemed at least somewhat appealing to Matt. Seeing him look and sound somewhat nervous about some of his group's music coming out made her giggle a little, simply because she found it cute. She didn't know Kai, but she knew the image that he projected, and she had somewhat assumed that anybody who was friends with him was much of the same. She was happy to find that Matt was much more gentle than that. "Oh, good, so I can keep you in my basement until the summer and nobody will come looking for you. That gives me, what, four months? Plenty of time," Aubrey says back, her voice sounding serious, but the grin on her face giving her away that she was completely kidding. "No, no, nothing planned for us yet. We'll probably start serious work on this second album before we do anymore touring. A couple of the girls have boyfriends that they were missing, or whatever, so we can't plan anymore tours any time soon." She talks about the other girls missing their boyfriends like it was the stupidest thing she'd ever heard, but again that grin on Aubrey's face gave away her real feelings towards the matter - she totally understood. She had been missing Matt, too, and he wasn't even her boyfriend.

Aubrey doesn't notice the way that Matt seems disappointed in himself for ruining the moment between them, as she was too busy wondering how to get another moment like that between them again. "Well, we'll see how you feel about me after you watch me eat all five of them." She giggles, setting her menu down, her choice in food made. "I used to work at a diner in high school, and they called the bacon and egg dish a 'Home Invasion.' Because it's the B&E, get it? I always thought it was kind of cute."

When Aubrey laughs loudly at what he said, Matt was quite taken aback, but then when he sees the way everyone around them turns to look, he starts laughing loudly as well, drawing some strange looks from the waitresses. Matt guessed that they probably didn't get too many people having a laugh and a joke at breakfast time, which seemed weird to him. "Aye, every time we play shows, all I hear is "we want Cherry Street!" from the crowds. Between that and people calling us a bargain basement you, it'll be good for us to have you lot out the way," he says with a laugh, realising how crazy it seemed to compare their two bands. "No problem," he says with a smile. "I don't know how you manage to keep up all the hard work. Maybe we're just lazy bastards, but when we do a tour it's like...right now we need 6 weeks vacation," he winks. When Aubrey suggests keeping Matt in her basement, he laughs and raises his eyebrows. "Have you been reading too much E.L. James?" he jokes. "Nah, but you can keep me there as long as you like, to be fair. Any old arsehole can drum so I doubt they would even miss me," he chuckles. Matt didn't exactly have self esteem issues, but he never thought of himself as massively talented either. He just assumed that he was only in their band because he had been mates with Kai throughout school. "As long as you've got muffins, the basement will be fine," he laughs, loving the big smile across Aubrey's face when she says it. "You really are the cutest," Matt adds with an earnest smile. He listens as she talks about Cherry Street taking a break and nods, smiling a little. He knew what it was to miss someone, even if he wasn't exactly in a relationship with them. The way he had dived on the first possible plane when Aubrey had called him to come visit showed how much he wanted to see her after all.

Matt looked at his menu again for a moment, wondering if he would get the chance again to share a moment with Aubrey. Since they met, he wasn't sure if she wanted to be with him or just wanted to be his friend, but in that moment, it seemed she did like him, and that would have been his chance to ask. He laughs at her joke and shakes his head. "If you can manage to eat all five, I'll be impressed more than anything. It's no fun going to eat with a woman who pretends all she wants is like a salad leaf, right?" he winks at her. "B&E?" he asks, before the joke clicks and he claps his hands. "That's pretty good. I'll definitely have the home invasion then."

Aubrey laughs still, listening to Matt describe the hypothetical scene of his fans screaming out for Cherry Street, and comparing them to each other. She covers her mouth and looks down at the table, realizing that she's drawing attention to them. Aubrey allows herself to be self-conscious about it for five seconds before pushing the thought out of her brain, smiling her bright smile at Matt again. "In reality, I feel like if you guys really did get up on stage and start playing one of our songs, it would produce terrifying results. I don't think your fans would even know what to do." She giggles. "Nah, you guys aren't lazy. You're probably normal. It's Cherry Street. We act like a bunch of anal retentive, tweaked-out speed queens when we're not writing or working on something. I wish we knew how to take breaks well." She rolls her eyes at the rest of her band and then grins up at Matt again.

"E.L. James? Oh, that's child's play," she says back with a wink, and then sticks her tongue out, showing her disgust for the book and franchise as a whole. "Oh, stop it. They'd totally come looking for you. And then I'd have to lock the rest of your band up in my basement as well, which I'm realizing is just going to cause a lot more work than I was expecting... so you'll probably just have to take me out on more date over the next four months until I'm satisfied enough to let you go on your summer tour." She says it all jokingly, but very much lets it slip out that she thinks of this breakfast meeting as a date - and that she wants more of them. Again, she lets herself be self-conscious for five seconds before pushing the fear out of her mind, flashing him a smile. "What do you think about that?"

"Oh, I can definitely eat all five, that's not a problem," Aubrey says back seriously. Eating wasn't a game with her. She was going to order it all, and she was going to eat it. "Yeah, B&E, like Breaking & Ente-- you get it, I don't know why I'm trying to explain it to you again." She giggles at herself a little and then glances up, seeing their waitress coming towards them for their food orders.

"Oh, perfect!" Aubrey sits up straight, as if she were about to give direct orders to an army general. "Hi, how are you? I'll have..." Aubrey scans the menu again, seeing that the closest thing to a plate of five pancakes was a plate of three. "The three stack? I'll have one and two-thirds of that." She laughs and looks up at the waitress again, who seemed pretty unamused by Aubrey's joke. "That's five pancakes, by the way," she adds before continuing with her order. "And I'll have bacon for my side, and a cup of coffee - black." She hands the menu to the waitress and sits back in her chair, her order complete. "Oh, and a glass of chocolate milk," she suddenly adds afterwards with a grin.

Matt nods when she talks about Matt and his band playing a Cherry Street song. "Maybe we should try it. Would your lyrics work with a screamed vocal and that?" he winks. "I dunno. I think even if you are overly busy as a band, we're still lazy shites. That's been like two years we've been out and we've had....one EP," he says with a shrug. "But hey, we earn enough money and that's all that matters..." he adds, trying to keep a straight face and not give away the fact he's joking about the last part, but he eventually laughs. "If you need to learn how to take a break, seriously just hang around with me some. I am the king of breaks. The Kit Kat Kid, they call me." He laughs at himself and shrugs. "That were awful, sorry. Don't even know where that came from."

"Too true. Nowt that started life being about vampires can ever be sexy or raunchy," Matt agrees, smirking when she sticks her tongue out at him. "It's all shite anyway. Who wants to even read porn? That's using too much of the brain for my tastes," he laughs. "When your job is just hitting shit really really hard with little sticks, you don't like to tax yourself too much," Matt adds with a little laugh at himself. "Kai wouldn't. I doubt the geezer would even know I weren't there. He does live like in America now, though. I don't think you'd want him in your basement either. Lad's a bloody handful," he smirks and then smiles when she tells him he'll just have to take her out on more dates before he leaves on tour. "What do I think about taking you on more dates?" he asks coyly. "Yeah, I think I could be persuaded," he smiles at her, letting his little laugh creep in at the end. It was like a naturally flirty thing that only came out when he was nervous around someone he liked.

Matt looks around when the waitress comes towards their table and smiles. "Alright, love?" He waits and lets Aubrey order, laughing at the way she tries to tailor the options to make for her five pancakes. "Why not just have the six then? I'd be even more impressed if you could down that lot," he smirks, loving the fact that she was so comfortably different. He liked people like that, who were just themselves and didn't care what anyone else thought about them. When it's his turn to order, Matt looks down at the menu. "I'll just have the bacon and eggs. No syrup an all. I know you love syrup over here but I in't got the hang of that yet," he laughs. "not on me bacon anyway." When she asks him what he wants to drink, Matt looks across at the counter. "I'm gonna hazard a guess you in't got beer at 8am? Coffee will do, pal. Milky coffee, please." He puts the menu down and smiles. "That should shake me awake with the extra caffeine hit," he says to Aubrey.

"I'm sure with your artistic abilities, you guys could make screamed vocals work with our lyrics," Aubrey says back, although the look on her face is openly apprehensive about the whole hypothetical idea. She was sure that it would sound as bad as if Cherry Street tried to take some of Kai's lyrics and make it sound like it was made for a indie pop girl group - disappointing for everybody involved. "Yeah, but you guys are memorable and cute, so you can get away with doing something only once every few years." She sticks her tongue out at him and winks. She giggles at first when Matt calls himself the Kit Kat Kid, but lets out another burst of full laughter when he apologizes for the bad joke. The aftermath of the joke was better than the joke itself.

Aubrey reaches into her purse and pulls out a pack of cigarettes, placing one between her lips and lightening it as she listens to Matt speak, giggling a little. She wasn't sure if she was allowed to smoke in here anymore, but she was going to go for it until she was told she couldn't. "I read somewhere that it's healthier for your brain to experience porn in different ways," she tells him, appreciating the fact that there were very few people she could comfortably have a conversation about porn with in the early morning hours, and Matt was one of them. "Like, just audio? Or reading it? You're supposed to switch it up sometimes, to keep your brain engaged." She shrugs, giving that 'just something to think about' look to him. She can't help but blush - just the tiniest bit - when Matt tells her that he thinks he could be persuaded into taking her out a few more times. His little laugh is what makes her blush the most, finding him adorable. "Good. Then I can put all those whips and chains back in storage until then," she says back with a small laugh.

"Fine, you heard the man. Six pancakes it is then," Aubrey corrects herself to the waitress when Matt tells her that he'd be even more impressed if she could eat six pancakes. She was a sucker for dares, and always took them - and that sounded like a dare to her. The waitress takes down both of their orders and then brings them back their coffee, not saying a word about Aubrey's cigarette. Aubrey ashes on the side of the saucer that her coffee cup was served on, taking another long drag. "Oh, I understand that. I'm still a caffeine addict, even though I know that's not the fad addiction now." She winks.

"Kai would probably just scream whatever the hell he pleased. Sometimes I think he just makes up lyrics when we're playing live. Not that anyone would really be able to tell, like," he adds with a little smirk. "Maybe we'll get you up on stage to sing wi him at our next show, eh? Just remember to wear all black and get tattooed on just about every bit of skin you've got free," he adds with a wink to let her know he's just messing around. "I don't think you should ever let Kai hear you calling him cute. Honor does, but I think he lets her away wi it because he like loves her or summat," Matt laughs, relaxing a bit more now, particularly when Aubrey laughs at his terrible joke. He always could make people laugh, even if he was a little quiet and shy around them at first.

The jarring reaction Matt gives when Aubrey lights up a cigarette inside a building is almost comical. Given the number of drugs he had seen his friend and bandmate ingest anything and everything illegal in the past ten years, it's somewhat hilarious that the mere fact of someone smoking inside surprises him so much. "Christ, I haven't seen someone smoking in a cafe since like...2006? Mental," he laughs. "Oh yeah, me brain experiences porn in different ways. Sometimes I watch it on me phone if I can't be arsed turning 'laptop on," Matt says with a laugh. Most dates probably wouldn't have taken a turn towards porn at this stage, but Matt felt like he and Aubrey knew each other well enough to joke about it. "Audio porn? Surely that defeats the purpose? Like...do they say out loud what they're doing or summat?" When she blushes, Matt smiles at her again. Aubrey was incredibly cute already, but when she blushed it just added to that. "Aye. Put your chains and that away until at least the fifth date," he jokes. "So where am I gonna take you next time?"

When she orders the six pancakes, he claps his hands and smiles. The waitress looked somewhat appalled. People didn't do dares at breakfast often. And the look on her face suggested that even she wasn't sure if Aubrey was permitted to smoke in here. But she didn't say anything. Matt had a lot of tattoos, and even though he wasn't violent at all, she wasn't too sure if he might kick off. Matt takes a drink of his coffee when it arrives. "I'm not one for fads like, meself. I know Kai eats like fuckin' kale or summat now. I suppose that's what happens when you date a model, like. I prefer an old fashioned addiction though. And caffeine's well cheaper than heroin," he says with a smile that shows he's clearly joking.

Aubrey laughs and nods when Matt says that Kai would probably just scream whatever he wanted. She wouldn't openly admit it, at the risk of possibly offending Matt, but she thought he was absolutely right when he said that nobody would probably know the difference anyway. She, personally, could never understand what they were saying anyway. "Oh, that's all I have to do to sing with you guys? Yeah, I'll get right on that," she says with a joking tone to her voice when Matt tells her that if she gets tattooed up, she get sing with Kai at the next show. She couldn't imagine what her fans would think if she went in that direction with her style - but she definitely couldn't imagine what Kai's fans would think if she jumped on stage with him, looking the way she did now. It seemed like touring with them wasn't in her future any time soon. "I more meant you as the cute one. But I'll make sure to keep all cute comments to myself when Kai is around, just in case," Aubrey says back with a wink.

She can't help but laugh at Matt's reaction to her lighting a cigarette inside. Aubrey had assumed that a guy like him probably saw people do much crazier things on a weekly basis, and that this would be par for the course, so it was a little fun for Aubrey to be able to shock him. "Oh, no, I understand. I've Cromecast-ed porn from my phone onto the television before because I was too lazy to move," Aubrey admits, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink the moment after the sentence comes out of her mouth. She had a tendency to admit things she would normally never admit after she became comfortable with people - but once the sentence was out, she couldn't take it back. She focuses her eyes on her cigarette in her hand, giggling nervously. "Um... I think audio porn is kind of like phone sex? I guess? I don't know, I've never had phone sex before, but I assume that's how it is." Aubrey looks up at Matt and giggles again, shrugging. "What about next time, I'll fly out to see you instead of you coming to Baltimore to see me? And then you can take me anywhere you want to go. And I won't complain if you make me get up super early for a breakfast date." She winks.

Aubrey laughs at his 'caffeine is cheaper than heroin' joke, nodding. As a girl who had never done anything harder than weed - except for that one time at a party when she did shrooms with the guy she had a crush on, but she didn't really feel anything from them - she somewhat assumed that Matt probably had some sort of extensive history with drugs. She wouldn't pry, but the idea of dating a guy who might have a drug dependency was a scary idea for her. "Kale is actually not as good as they thought it was before," she tells him with a grin. "But white people love it, so whatever." The waitress comes by with her glass of chocolate milk, setting it in front of her. "Hooray!"

When Aubrey said she had used Chromecast for porn before, Matt almost spits his coffee out. Not because he didn't expect her to watch porn, but more because she didn't seem the sort who would broadcast that. He loved it, though. People who were open and honest were always the most interesting and fun after all. "Well, when you need a wank, you need a wank, love," he jokes, noticing that she had blushed a little. The last thing he wanted was for her to feel embarrassed by what she had said. "I might have to get me one of these Chromecast things like. I've never watched widescreen porn before," he laughs and then nods intently when she talks about audio porn. "Ah, right, so someone just talks to you? I thought you meant like you just listened to people having sex. I've never done phone sex either, like. Seems a bit weird that one. I wouldn't even know what to say," he laughs and when she giggles, he smiles at her. She had such a cute aura around her. "Next time? Aye, you could, like. If you want to see where I come from, like," he smiles. "I won't be getting you up early for a date, though. You can trust that one," he laughs.

Matt sees the way Aubrey looks at him weirdly when he mentions heroin, and he suddenly realises that she is wondering if he had ever gone that far with drugs, which he never had. He had tried many, but he had never got hooked on any at all. It seemed far too dangerous to him. "I've never done heroin, like," he adds into the conversation casually. He didn't want Aubrey to think he was a junkie after all. He didn't know if he sounded genuine or forced then, but he had tried, and he hoped she believed him. "How about you? Hardest I've ever tried was cocaine. Didn't like it though," he adds nervously, trying to force home the truth that he had never been hooked on anything serious. He was worried she would want nothing to do with him if she thought he had. "I've never tried kale like. It seems to be that sort of thing that people have because the shops tell 'em it's cool or summat. Not my cup of tea. I'm an unhealthy bastard when it comes to me food and that's how I like it," he laughs.

Aubrey continues her nervously giggles as Matt talks about wanting to get Cromecast for porn. It wasn't that she was uncomfortable - she just knew herself, and she knew that if she continued talking about porn with Matt, it wouldn't be long before she was opening up about her sex life in general, and that might be going a bit too far for her. She wasn't a prude by any means, but her sex life was private, and she wanted to keep it that way for herself and all those involved. "Yeah, sometimes it's like that. I think you'll just have to check it out, I'm bad at explaining things like this," Aubrey says back when he asks about the audio porn, giving a little shrug. She laughs when he says that he wouldn't know what to say during phone sex. "Right? I feel like I'd just get really flustered and hang up on them, and then pretend it was an accident if they ask about it." She ashes her cigarette on the side of the coffee saucer again, grinning when Matt tells her that he'd be okay with her coming to him next time. "Where do you come from?" she asks, realizing that she wasn't sure. They may have talked about it before when they first met, but that seemed so long ago.

She lets out a small sigh of relief when Matt tells her that he's never done heroin. Although she was sure that even if he were a heroin addict, he probably wouldn't admit to her that he was, she trusted him and thought that he was telling the truth. "No, I definitely have never tried heroin before. I don't think I've ever even been offered heroin before," Aubrey says back with a laugh. It was very reassuring to know that the hardest thing Matt had ever done was coke, and that he didn't like it. Coke still seemed scary to her, but at least she knew that he would never try it again. "I'm so boring. I think I did shrooms, like, once at a party one time because this guy that I had a crush on had them. And I didn't really feel anything anyway, so it was a total bust. I spent the next six months worried about whether or not shrooms would show up on a drug test if I happened to get chosen for one - this was back when I was still in college on my tennis scholarship - but I never got tested, so I never found out." She laughs a bit at herself, realizing that that was the lamest drug story ever. "I'm usually pretty healthy with how I eat and everything," she tells him and then looks down, realizing that she had a large glass of chocolate milk in front of her, a cigarette in her hand, and six pancakes on the way. "I know it doesn't seem like it," she continues, laughing through her words. "But I usually do. I mean, that doesn't mean I won't eat hamburgers, like, any time they're in front of me. But still." She grins.

It's clear after a while that Aubrey is finding the whole talking about porn a little awkward, so he decides to drop the subject in case she ended up going off him for talking too much about it. Matt laughs hard when she says she wouldn't know what to say if she was having phone sex. He nods and crosses his arms as he sits back a little in his chair. "I would probably be like...."oooh...I like them...tits", or summat. I would be awkward as all holy hell. I can't do shit like that. Maybe if there were music," he chuckles. "Me? Rotherham, mate. It's the world's biggest shithole, and I know you've never heard of it. No one has. But don't worry, I'll take you somewhere nicer than that. There are some nice places round about where you could stay and not get stabbed like you might in Rotherham," he laughs, half joking. His home town was somewhat rough.

When Matt confirms that he wasn't some mad junkie, he can see how it relaxes Aubrey. He smiles a little. "Careful, or else someone might think you care about me," he teases with a little wink. When she says she had never tried heroin either, he nods and shrugs. Of course, he believed Aubrey, she seemed way too sensible for that sort of thing. Even Kai, the most reckless man he had ever known, had never gone near heroin. He listens to her story about mushrooms and smiles softly. He remembered the first time he had ever gone near hallucinogenics and he felt somewhat disappointed that Aubrey hadn't experienced something cool. "You sure the dude wasn't just feeding you button mushrooms? Pretty sure you should be feeling summat with mushrooms, buddy," he chuckles. "I remember when I were at school and there were this like rumour that if you smoked it would show up whenever you got immunised against something. We were terrified all the time. Turns out it were bullshit, like most of the shite kids say," he laughs. When she says she likes to keep fit and healthy, Matt has to stop himself from staring. She certainly obviously took care of herself. He was glad when she spoke again to distract him from his own thoughts. "I in't gonna judge love. Especially not when this is coming....fucking hell," he says as he looks to the side at the massive plate coming his way. When the waitress puts it down, he raises an eyebrow and sighs. He starts to look around and under the table, confused looking. "Sorry....just looking for the 14 guys I'm supposed to share this massive pile with," he laughs. "Right, sorted. When you come England we're going for a killer burger. There's some cracking barbecue places in Leeds, like," he nods enthusiastically before putting a slice of bacon in his mouth.

Aubrey laughs at Matt's imitation of how he would sound during phone sex. "Right? It's actually amazing that there are women who make a living off of being phone sex operators... Even more amazing, that men pay to have that awkward situation happen to them." She giggles, and then pushes her pack of cigarettes towards Matt, motioning to them. "If you want one, you can have one. I feel shitty that I didn't offer before." She listens to Matt as he describes his hometown. He was right, she had never heard of it before, but the more he talked about it, the more interested in it she became. "Oh, I'm sure it's not that bad," she says back with a smile. "What places are around it that we could go, though?" Aubrey wouldn't pressure him into taking her to his hometown if he didn't want to take her there. Going to somebody's hometown for a date was kind of like going to meet somebody's family, and she wasn't going to force Matt to take her there if he didn't want to.

"Yeah, wouldn't that just be the worst thing in the world if I cared about you?" Aubrey asks with a smirk when he teases her about looking relieved that he wasn't a heroin junkie. She recognized that they had a tendency to dance around the idea of the two of them liking each other rather than just saying it - and this was another moment where Aubrey was using comedy to cover up the fact that she really actually liked Matt a lot. She giggles and shrugs when he asks if her crush was really giving her psychedelic mushrooms. "The more I think about it, the more I start to think that they were just normal mushrooms, but I didn't know anything about drugs then, so I just... you know, went with it." She laughs and nods, listening to his story about him being scared that smoking would show up when you got immunized. All the false information that her and her friends used to take as fact when they were kids all seemed really stupid now, looking back.

Aubrey watches Matt's eyes as they stare at the amount of her body that he could see from across the table, making her giggle a little bit. If he were any other guy, she would start making a point to cover herself more in front of him, but with him, she didn't mind. She wanted to seem attractive to Matt. Her eyes light up when the food comes, each of them getting huge plates set in front of them. She laughs at Matt's reaction to all of the food he got as she grabs the small container of syrup and drizzles it onto her pancakes. "Oh, don't be a pussy," she jokes at him, taking a bite of her first of six pancakes. She smiles as she thinks about going to England to eat burgers with Matt. It may not seem overly romantic to anybody else, but to her, it sounded perfect. "I'm looking forever to it," she tells him with a smile.
