Bryce Green - Live at Dirty Bastard Hotel and CasinoThe casino is filled with people tonight as it usually is when a live act comes to perform the chatter of the people can be heard throughout the entire casino along with the noises from machines and music that is currently blasting throughout the speakers of the casino the smell of smoke fills the air in the casino as an older gentleman walks up to the stage the man is the one who usually comes up on the stage to announce performers he heads over to the mic stand in the center of the stage which is set up for the up coming performer to use he then speaks into the microphone gaining the attention of half of the people in the room the other half were too busy playing their machines, card games or simply just talking to pay attention as the man begins to speak the music gets lower which causes some of the people who were talking to look around a little confused however they return to their conversations and games soon after not paying much mind to the man speaking "Tonight we have one of the contestants from the last season of American Idol he recently signed with Kaleidoscope Records ladies and gentleman please put your hands together for up and coming country singer Bryce Green" the man finishes and walks off stage as the people who were listening either clap and cheer or boo Bryce loudly there are obviously a few haters along with fans near the stage at the moment Bryce and his band then walk up on stage Bryce was currently wearing a plain white T-shirt and a pair of jeans a very casual outfit for a very casual performance as he walks up onto the stage the people's reactions of hate and love get a bit louder before they eventually quiet down Bryce turns to look at a member of his band and laughs a little mouthing the words "What the fuck" to him the bane member shrugs a little as does Bryce before he moves closer to the microphone "What's up Dirty Bastard I hope y'all are feeling good tonight because" The people who are fans cheer a little and Bryce nods with a little smile "Alright that is great to hear" He lets out a small chuckle "Are y'all ready for a little country music tonight?" the crowd cheer once more a bit louder Bryce nods "Well ladies and gents I'm sorry to announce I am officially a pop/R&B singer now you know how it is when you get signed the label changes you" he laughs "Just kidding luckily I signed to one of them few good big labels that give me control over what I release and won't turn me into something I'm not okay enough talk let's get this party started I thought it'd be fun to start with a few covers and maybe work our way to an original are y'all familiar with Tim McGraw?" He steps back and lets the audience cheer once more "Well that's god because this first track is called 'Southern Girl' get ready"
After the introduction Bryce grabs the microphone off the stand and steps back a little as his band begin playing the intro to "Southern Girl" by Tim McGraw Bryce nods his head a little to the beat as they play the intro a few of the people in the audience seem to be into it as well as they can be seen nodding when it comes time for Bryce to start singing he steps up in front of the mic stand Bryce continues nodding his head to the beat as he begins singing his southern accent sounds a little bit stronger than when he was talking he crouches down a little to touch a few of the fans hands before standing up once again enjoying the feeling of performance again after being on American Idol of course this audience was a lot smaller than what he was use to but he was still as much into it as he was back on Idol 'Southern Girl' might be an odd choice to some since Bryce was out as gay but what the fans didn't know was this was one of Bryce's favorite Tim McGraw songs ever he continues singing in that laid back smooth southern styled voice that we heard a lot on Idol as he sings through the first verse after finishing the verse he backs up a little going over to the center of the stage where he closes his eyes as he sings the chorus which he sang in a similar laid back style howver he sang these parts a little bit higher than before after he finishes the chorus he lets his band members sing the last few parts and nods his head and smiles as he listens to his band members
Now I ain't sayin' them LA ladies don't know what they're doin'
And I been in love with New York City a time or two
I had some Seattle coffee, some Chicago wind
Some Kansas wheat fields I'd love to see again
But the fireflies play where the cattails grow
And them southern girls, they talk nice and slow with
Kisses sweeter than Tupelo honey
Little bit crazy like New Orleans
Memphis blue and Daytona sunny
Soft as cotton in some cut-off jeans
Don't you know,
Ain't nothing in the whole wide world
Like a southern girl(Band members singing)
(Southern girl rock my world
Hazel eyes and golden curls
Put on a country song
We'll dance all night long)Bryce then comes back in again singing the next verse after his band finished up the chorus for him Bryce sings the verse the second verse the same way he sang the first one he looks down at the small crowd gathered around the stage which has grown just a little bit and smiles as he continues singing as he goes back towards the end of the stage to interact a little more with the fans though he was a gay male he holds a girls hand in the audience and sings to her as he continues singing the second verse durectly to this fan the rest of the fans begin to cheer a little Bryce then kisses her hand and lets go as he gets to the end of the second verse the kiss on the hand made the girl in the audience go wild though she knew he was gay she was still a huge fan which obviously showed as she began freaking out Bryce smiled at the sight and let out a little laugh before making his way into the chorus for the second time which was sung the same way as before he then let his band sing the next part like before however this time after the chorus there was a little guitar solo As his band member was playing the solo Bryce went up to him and begin nodding his head along with the solo as he pretended to play an air guitar with him
A southern girl's mama probably taught her how a lady should act
But a southern girl's probably got a barn somewhere reared out back
She'll get a little hay in her hair, her tires in the mud
She's been caught in the rain, and washed in the blood
Likes cherries in her coke, takes a little sip,
Comes over to me with them sunburned lips and them
Kisses sweeter than Tupelo honey
Little bit crazy like New Orleans
Memphis blue and Daytona sunny
Soft as cotton in some cut-off jeans
Don't you know,
Ain't nothing in the whole wide world
Like a southern girl
(Southern girl rock my world
Hazel eyes and golden curls
Put on a country song
We'll dance all night long)*Guitar solo*
As the guitar solo ended Brandon went back to the edge of the stage for the bridge which was played a bit differently instead of singing the bridge Bryce took a second to look out at the audience and nod "Ladies and gentleman that solo was brought to you by Mr. Jack Adams now fellas I want you to take you're beautiful southern gals and give her a big ole' kiss while I sing this song for y'all" Bryce laughed a little as he noticed some of the members in the audience took his advice "Just like that fellas hell yeah" Bryce then began singing along with the bridge which was slightly similar to the verses after finishing that up he goes back into the chorus which is sung the same way as before with a little help from his band adding back up he then let's the band finish up the whole song as he sits down at the edge of the stage just listening to them playing their instruments and singing the final few parts to the song he nodded his head along with the beat as they continued singing before the song came to an end
If you've ever seen Savannah heat up when the stars come out
Well, then, fellas, come on, you know what I'm talkin' about
Kisses sweeter than Tupelo honey
Little bit crazy like New Orleans
Memphis blue and Daytona sunny
Soft as cotton in some cut-off jeans
Don't you know,
Ain't nothing in the whole wide world
Like a southern girl
(Southern girl rock my world
Put on a country song)[Repeat 'til the end:]
(Southern girl rock my world
Hazel eyes and golden curls
Put on a country song

Bryce sat there at the edge of the stage shaking his head a little at the crowds reaction which was definitely a good one of course there were a few boo's which were probably due to the fact that he was gay and not to do with his performance at least that's what he thought but he didn't pay them too much mind he lifted the mic to his mouth after they quieted down a bit "Y'all are something crazy you know that?" the crowd cheer once again as Bryce looks down and laughs he shakes his head a little "But you know I fucking love it crazy so it's all good" he let's them cheer a little more before standing up "Okay so y'all know I'm from Macon Gerogia right?" he lets them cheer once again as he smiles "Well some of you might know it's known as the heart of Georgia and yeah it's changed a bit from what I remember when I was smaller but you know what it inspired another one of my favorite songs which of course is "Hick Town" by Jason Aldean and I'd like to play that one for y'all next if it's what you want that it is" Bryce lifts his microphone towards the audience and let's them cheer once again he then laughs and nods "Alright I hear y'all we're gonna do that one then but first can someone bring me up a bottle of jack?" He looks around and waits for a little eventually the man who came up to announce him earlier brings him a small bottle of Jack Daniels "This all you got? Okay that's fine whatever" Bryce laughs then downs some of the alcohol and shakes his head a little "Woo let's fucking do this now!" he shouts out to the audience
After the intro of the second song the band begin playing the intro to 'Hick Town' by Jason Aldean Bryce then speaks in his microphone as they play it "Oh, you like the way that sounds?" He says with that smooth southern accent of his just like Jason Aldean says when the into is being played he then laughs a little at the crowds reaction as he let's his band finish up the intro after they do he comes in singing the first verse actually sounding somewhat similar to Jason Aldean as he sings almost mimicking him in a way since it was one of his favorite songs he didn't really want to change it up unlike before where he was singing in a more laid back way he sings this song completely different showing off a bit more of that power in his usually smooth laid back voice he then makes his way into the chorus which he sings with a little more power in his voice than before as he sings throughout the chorus he continues singing this way throughout the rather small chorus before it eventually comes to an end
Little Jimmy Jackson is jackin' up his Bronco.
He's gonna lay a little rubber later on at the truck pull.
An' all the girls are getting' pretty... they're sprayin' on the White Rain.
Yeah, they're gonna get a rowdy tonight down at the football game.
Yeah, we let it rip when we got the money...
Let it roll if we got the gas.
It gets wild, yeah, but that's the way we get down,
In a HicktownAfter finising up the first few parts he can't help but laugh he was having so much fun on this small stage and he just couldn't contain that excitement he had to let out something and a laugh was all he really could let out while performing he then makes his way into the next verse singing in a similar way to the first verse he as he sings it he moves back towards the edge of the stage looking down at his audience which once again has grown a litte he kneels down focusing his attention to a rather attractive male in the audience this time he gives him a little smirk as he continues singing and places his hand near his ear in a call me sort of gesture then winks before standing up and continuing the song Bryce wasn't the best dancer in the world but he was enjoying himself dancing up on the stage a little which caused the small audience to cheer once again after finishing the verse he goes back into the chorus which is sung in the same way once again as before he then lets his band take an instrumental break and grams his bottle of Jack Daniels and takes another big swig as they continue playing their instruments which causes him to once again shake his head and shout out 'Woo" he then puts it back on a stool and begins jumping around a little to the beat
Well, you can see the neighbors butt crack nailing on his shingles,
An' his woman's' smokin' Pall Mall's watchin' Laura Ingalls.
An' Granny's getting' lit, she's headin' out to bingo.
Yeah, my buddies an' me are goin' muddin' down on Blue Hole Road.
You know, you know, we let it rip when we got the money...
Let it roll if we got the gas.
It gets wild, yeah, but that's the way we get down,
In a Hicktown.*Instrumental Break*
The beat then slows down a bit as the band finish up their instrumental break and head into the bridge Bryce then begins singing along with it tapping his foot on the floor as he continues singing he sounds a bit out of breath from all the jumping around and dancing Bryce wasn't use to doing all that he hadn't had this much fun performing in awhile even on Idol it was all work, work, work perform he didn't get the chance to enjoy himself and enjoy the audience though it was fun this was like more of a party to him than a performance and by the vibe in the room you could definitely tell the audience were feeling the same exact way he was as they were all dancing, drinking, singing and enjoying it just as much as he was maybe even more as Bryce gets towards the end of the bridge he begins singing louder as the beat also picks up he then gets back into the chorus where he starts jumping once again which causes his vocals to become a bit shaky the audience don't seem to care though as they were obviously enjoying his energy and the performance even if this wasn't his all time best vocally the chorus was stretched out a bit this time just like in the original however it eventually came to an end the song itself seemed like it was coming to an end for a few seconds before Bryce brought the microphone up to his mouth and talked again like earlier in the song saying the words "Oh, we ain't finished yet" the crowd cheers as Bryce once again stretches out the chorus a little bit longer before it come to an end
We hear folks in the city party in Martini Bars,
An' they like to show off in their fancy foreign cars.
Out here in the boondocks we buy beer at Amoco,
An' crank our Kraco speakers with that country radio.
We let it rip when we got the money...
Let it roll if we got the gas.
It gets wild, yeah, but that's the way we get down.
Oh, oh we let it rip when we got the money...
Let it roll if we got the gas.
It's buck wild, yeah, but that's the way we get down,
In a Hicktown.
In a Hicktown.
That's the way we get down in a Hicktown.
In Hicktown, yeah, in Hicktown."Oh, we ain't finished yet"
Got your country boys and your redneck girls
It's the party heard round the world
Right here in Hicktown
In Hicktown
The whole town's getting down
In Hicktown
Yeah, in HicktownThe crowd begin cheering loudly as Bryce smiles out to them all once again there are a few boo's thrown in but Bryce didn't pay much attention to them when they started to calm down Bryce nodded "Alright y'all I'm almost done here-" Bryce is then cut off by an audience member who yells throughout the silent crowd
"GOOD FAGGOT!" Bryce raises an eyebrow after hearing the man then nods "It's nice to know you're watching this faggot's performance" he says winking at the crowd the people there then begin laughin loudly Bryce then speaks once again after they're settled down "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted I'm almost done here and but I could sing one more cover for you" He holds his microphone out to hear they're reactions there are a bunch o ef cheers wanting one more cover he then brings the microphone back to his face "Or I could sing you guys my single which is going to be released this Friday" he holds up the microphone and let's the crowd cheer once again however a huge difference can be heard this time as the crowd sound like they're about to break glasses some of the people playing the machines or cards or just talking look annoyed Brandon laughs "Alright this song is called 'Lights Off' this one was written by my with the help of a few others it's basically about having one of them awkward run ins with an ex but even though it's awkward and whatever you can't help but enjoy it and just want them to stay" Bryce explains then laughs a little "Yes this was an actual experience I'm gonna need some Jack before this" He laughs once again then picks up his bottle of Jack Daniel's and takes a few more big swigs from it not leaving much left Bryce was obviously feeling a little tipsy at this point which showed as he stumbled a bit to grab his guitar he then strapped it around him and put the microphone back on the stand "Alright y'all lets fucking do this get ready"
After the intro Bryce and the band begin playing the intro to his debut single Bryce was a little nervous since this was his first time performing this song and he didn't want to screw anything up but he had a bit of that liquor courage and the fans cheering him on which make a huge difference Bryce might have been feeling a little buzzed though most others would be passed out by now Bryce had been drinking for awhile so he was use to it he was however feeling really good after finishing the intro he began singing the first verse in a more smooth and laid back style of course his southern accent was showing more which wasn't a surprise by now as it'd come out a lot more when he was singing after finishing the first verse Bryce makes his way into the pre-chorus where h continues singing in that laid back voice however towards the end he begins singing a little bit faster he then heads into the chorus which is sung a little higher however that laid back style continues through out the chorus as it did with the verse and the pre-chorus there are little harmonies added in the back ground that can barely be heard by his band members
Of all the bars out in this town
You had to step into this one
Walk on over here, offer a beer
And sit yourself right down
You tell me bout how you're happy
While I just lie right through my teeth
Cause I ain't moved on not at all
Your kiss is still on my mind
Boy you still get me wild
You don't even realize
That with you right by me I'm goin out of my mind
It's too early to be round me baby why don't you
Just head over there
You found me at my lowest
Now I'm sinkin' lower
If I didn't know better I'd say you did this on purpose
I ain't up for reminiscin' but boy you're still talkin'
Bout how we use to lay close with all of the lights off
With all of the lights offAfter finishing the first verse, pre-chorus and the energetic chorus Bryce goes into the second verse singing in the same style he did with the first verse after finishing that he makes his way into the pre-chorus which starts out a little slower like before then picks up once again he then goes back into the chorus with added back up vocals once again from his band mates as Bryce sings he surveys the audience to see if they're enjoying the song so far which they obviously are as they're seen dancing along to the fun and energetic chorus he smiles a little while he continues singing happy that they seem to be enjoying the performance and the new song
You're talking bout what we use to do
How we'd kiss outside just cause we could
Baby I wish you'd walk out that door
But I don't want you to
Now you got me laughing of course
Cause you know all my favorite jokes
The next song on the radio
Is the one we first kissed to
Boy you still get me wild
You don't even realize
That with you right by me I'm goin out of my mind
It's too early to be round me baby why don't you
Just head over there
You found me at my lowest
Now I'm sinkin' lower
If I didn't know better I'd say you did this on purpose
I ain't up for reminiscin' but boy you're still talkin'
Bout how we use to lay close with all of the lights off
With all of the lights offBryce then plays a really small guitar solo showing off his guitar skills which he didn't get to do much of on American Idol since the only instrument he played on there was the piano and that was only a one time thing Bryce then makes his way into the really short bridge which was sung with a little more emotion than the previous parts as he sings about being unsure why he's still there and the fact that he might subconsciously be hoping for another shot with the guy he's singing about it's obvious that he connects the most to this part with the emotion he put into the two small lines he then sings the pre-chorus once again which is now slowed down a little bit before making his way back into the chorus which is once again full of fun sounds, Bryce's upbeat vocals and small harmonies from the band Bryce repeats a line from the and then repeating a line from the pre-chorus with harmonies from his band as well before the song finally comes to an end and the small crowd goes nuts causing more annoyed looks from other people there
I don't know why I'm still talkin' to you
Maybe I'm just hopin' for round two
Boy you still get me wild
You don't even realize
That with you right by me I'm goin out of my mind
It's too early to be round me baby why don't you
Just head over
You found me at my lowest
Now I'm sinkin' lower
If I didn't know better I'd say you did this on purpose
I ain't up for reminiscin' but boy you're still talkin'
Bout how we use to lay close with all of the lights off
With all of the lights off, with all of the lights offBoy you still get me wild, you don't even realize
After the performance Bryce smiles and yells into the microphone "Y'ALL WERE AMAZING THANKS FOR A GREAT TIME AND TIP YOUR WAITRESSES" the cheers from the audience and fact that he just performed his first official single in front of these people was definitely helping his buzz a lot he laughs as they continue cheering before yelling back into the microphone "OH AND DON'T FORGET TO BUY THIS SONG ON ITUNES APRIL THIRD!" after the performance ends Bryce and his band get off the stage
