Well, as always its a huge wait between albums from Brand New, and as always its a very different sound overall to what has come before....
i thinks its a very modest mouse esque album with off harmonics and lots of guitar squeeling.... To be honest im finding it hard to work out how this follows on from TDAGARIOM, that doesn't mean im not liking it, its just over all so totally different... The first song on the album blasts you with some post hardcore shredding. Each songs supprised me in a different way (which is always a good thing).... Over all i would agree with what other people have being saying... this is an album less about soft melodies and more about texture.

Quote:
Brand New has become the Pink Floyd of our consumerism. They never play songs to sell, rather to be ahead of the crowd, I've got confidence this album will kick a*s as did the last.

i would agree, its a hard album to get used to but when you do, my god i think its good.... Having said that, a warning to brand new fans who haven't heard it all yet..... Even a die hard fan may be put of from this album as it is erm, veyr different to anything and everything they have done before...

8/10
I hate it when people see me at the supermarket and they are like:
Hey, what are you doing here?
and im just like:
Oh you know, hunting elephants

I love what I've heard, so I'm certainly not put off by it!

Best I saw them was at Give It A Name 07 actually. I think it was 07 anyway? And that's pretty darn big. I see a show of this large proportion to be a promising one in terms of what they have in the bag, and especially concerning the supports. Glassjaw is on the tip of peoples' tongues, but I'm not too hopefully for them. mewithoutYou, maybe Thrice. I dunno. Should be brilliant though!

yeah, ive seen brand New live a few times now and i always love it. I have just found that they work a lot better in smaller venues where its more personal.
I don't think i have ever been to a bad gig of theirs!! Sounds like a top line-up... am a bit jelous..
