Title: Wilde Side Artist: Michael Brown Writer(s) Michael Brown Producer: Michael Brown Label: Independent Length: 4:00 Genre: Folk Pop Released: August 24th 2015 " Wild Side" is the second track on American singer/songwriter Michael Brown's debut EP and his second official single the song once again was written and produced by 17 year old Michael Brown this time going back to that sound he brought us on his debut single "Let's Not Talk About It" however rather than going for the Folktronica/Psychedelic Folk sound on that track he goes for a more Fol Pop sound here we hear the plucking of a guitar here playing simple chords for a few seconds before Michael comes in singing in that more laid back monotone style we heard from him on "Let's Not Talk About It" lyrically this song might be one of the better songs on the EP despite having only two extremely short verses and no bridge Michael manages to portray the relationship or person he's singing about describing the relationship as fun and carefree amd reminiscing about the things they use to do in the chorus we hear him talk about the downfall of the relationship as the person seems to have lost their "Wild side" the production of this track is also a lot more laid back like Michael's vocals and despite not being the most radio friendly song on the EP it is definitely one of the stand out tracks Michael even stated that this is his favorite track from the EP as it was one of the more personal ones to him The song starts out with the simple plucking of a guitar it plays for before we hear Michael's deeper more monotone styled voice come in along with a drum he continues singing in this monotone styled voice throughout the first verse before going into the chorus the beat changes slightly as Michael continues to sing in that more monotone deep style throughout the chorus singing it twice and changing the last line up slightly we then hear the instrumental play for a few seconds with the guitar making a return before we hear Michael come back in singing in that deeper monotone style we heard in the previous verse continuing to reminisce about the love and fun the two shared with each other he then goes back into the chorus after finishing the verse singing it in the same style he did previously before we hear the instrumental take over once again for a little while he then comes in once again to sing the chorus for a final time skipping the bridge he sings it the same way he did before afterwards we hear the intro play once again but this time it sounds more like it did during the intro the beat plays for awhile before the song eventually comes to an end
When we were younger On the dance floor We didn't know time We didn't want to And we got closer Intertwined Yeah we got closer crossed the lines It didn't matter just you and I street lights taking over this whole town Fast forward something changed You seemed to have lost that wild side It didn't matter just you and I street lights taking over this whole town Fast forward something changed You seemed to have lost that wild sideWhen we were younger Down to rumble We had this whole world In our hands We had this spark babe What a time I had your heart babe You had mine It didn't matter just you and I street lights taking over this whole town Fast forward something changed You seemed to have lost that wild side It didn't matter just you and I Street lights taking over this whole town Fast forward something changed You seemed to have lost that wild sideIt didn't matter just you and I Street lights taking over this whole town Fast forward something changed You seemed to have lost that wild side It didn't matter just you and I street lights taking over this whole town Fast forward something changed You seemed to have lost that wild side |

CosmaMendoza: This sounds really great! The folk genre is something, I myself, never really enjoyed but you're giving it a nice twist and I kinda love the feeling of this song. It's really enjoyable while driving in the city. |

Michael: That honestly is in my opinion what any artist can hope to do take someone who's not exactly a fan of a thing and have them enjoy it I'm glad that I could do that here with at least one person and I'm also happy that you're enjoying this and hopefully this could bring you more into the genre because like all music and art there is so much more like this and better to be appreciated again thanks for checking it out and enjoying it |

Austin: Can I scream underrated? Dude, you've released two of the stronger records this year and people seem to overlook you. Luckily, you don't even seem like the type of person who even cares about that type of stuff and you seem to just this because it's what you love. I can just tell from the nature of the music. Great work again, and your EP is awesome. Keep grinding bro!

Michael: Hey man thanks I really appreciate it I'm glad you're digging my music that's really cool man but nah fame and attention hasn't always be what I strive for but knowing that my music can be spread and that people are enjoying something I put out there is reward enough numbers don't necessarily belong in music in my opinion unless that's the topic/theme but sales, chart positions etc they're fun to have but they aren't really what's important it's all about loving what your doing man and thanks again I've really been digging what you've been putting out so far too man Originally Posted by: kandii Coke: I told myself I was going to control myself but fuck it.
