It's 5 AM on Sunday 11th October, a day before Weekend set off for their first tour in over two years. It is safe to say that Scott is a total nervous wreck. He always struggled with his confidence despite the joking and fierce guard he puts up at times. Going on a tour the first time around was bad enough but now, Weekend are an even bigger name, the expectations are higher, the other members are really coming into their own and maturing vocally while Scott feels like he's just stalling. He's always felt like the "fifth one" and what's worse is that even he notices it himself. He can hear exactly how he sounds in comparison to others. Scott loves singing and being an entertainer. It's why he went to drama school, had his own agent while in school and why he turned up for the Weekend audition. He was always carefree and silly but the sheer magnitude of this band is a little too much for him. The scrutiny and intense pressure really takes all the fun out of performing and Scott has found himself trying to please people rather than just enjoying it.

Rubbing his eyes, Scott gets out of bed, pulling on his boxer shorts. In the darkness he doesn't realise that they're on backwards and that his hair looks like the result of someone sticking a fork into a plug socket. He has been tossing and turning all night. Last time he checked the clock it was 3:15 and Jen was beside him, sound asleep. Now she appears to have left the room. She didn't mention anything about an early start. In fact, Jen made it quite clear that she wanted to spend as much time with him today before he jets off for the tour. Scott initially got up to go to the bathroom but after realising that Jen wasn't in bed, he was a little bit concerned and went off in search of her. "Jen?" he whispers, with a slight sense of urgency, trying to wake those "hellish" dogs up as he walks down the stairs and approaches the kitchen.

Scott walks through the kitchen, noticing that it is in a tidier state than he had left it before going to bed. He has a "severe medical condition" which prevents him from doing the washing up or cleaning of any kind. After sneaking down earlier to help himself to some grilled cheese, he certainly didn't leave it this immaculate. Scott knows that Jen likes to keep the place presentable but has never known her to get up at a ridiculous hour to clean. When Jen starts to hum, Scott immediately thinks "ghost!" for a second. A ghost who can't stand unclean dishes, apparently. He quickly realises that it's Jen, who is sounding surprisingly perky for someone at this hour. It's obvious that she's been up for quite a bit. "Jen?", he calls out again before walking into the living room and discovering her while she sorts through the laundry. Freshly washed and fully dressed, it's clear that she's going somewhere. Scott immediately panics, thinking that she's either flipped and thinks this is the middle of the day or something serious has suddenly come up for her. "Everything OK? What's with the dress? It's only just gone 5." Through his tired, groggy voice he sounds rather concerned.

Scott scratches his head, growing increasingly worried. It's hard for him to also get his head around everything as he's still practically asleep. "Doctor's appointment? I thought you were free today? Wait...was the clock in the room wrong? What...what's going?" He pads across the kitchen quickly, not really enjoying the sensation of the cold floor against his feet, and grabs a bottle of water. He hopes it wakes him up a little bit. When Jen starts to sound a little over enthusiastic about breakfast at this time of the day, Scott pulls out a chair and sits down to study her. He doesn't want to say anything right away in case he has the wrong impression and ends up offending her. Scott decides to just go along with it and smiles back at her. "Umm....sure....banana pancakes would be nice. How many cups of coffee you had this morning?" he asks with a little chuckle, hoping to get to the bottom of her perkiness without accusing her of acting odd.

Scott continues to sit in the kitchen, drinking his bottle of water while he observes Jen in the living room a few feet away. In all honesty, he can't remember her saying anything about a doctor's appointment. He usually makes mental notes of things like that, especially if it's regarding her health but in the lead up to the tour, his mind has been elsewhere as of late. He's been more focused on rehearsals and mentally preparing for battles between Billy and Oscar more than anything. Losing a lot of sleep and missing out on many meals, Scott wonders if he's the one who is acting strange and all of this could just possibly be in his head. "You just seem rather...perky for this time of the morning. I mean, we didn't get to bed until late." He takes another sip of his water as Jennifer starts to question his stares. Realising how obvious it seems, sitting a good distance away from her in a different room, Scott stands up and makes his way into the living room again to put his arms around her. "Nothing, it's fine. I just want to make sure you're feeling well rested before you go out and start your day." He gives her a little smile and kisses her forehead.

Scott sits at the kitchen table, twiddling his thumbs and crossing his legs over every so often. Jen has been gone for quite some time now. It's not the first time Jennifer has went to a doctor's appointment in their relationship but it doesn't make it any easier for him. Scott is a worrier. Whenever he goes for a check up at the dentist he fears that he's going to be told that all his teeth need to be removed. Having his wife go off to an appointment completely on her own and for quite some time is almost too much to handle. Taking her odd behaviour into consideration this morning too only makes his mind wonder even more. He plays around with the leftovers of a wrap he made himself earlier but he couldn't bring himself to finish it. Scott looks at his phone, hoping to hear from Jen. He had sent a few messages but no replies yet.

Scott swiftly walks over to Jen when she comes through the door, making his way through the stampede of dogs. He throws his arms around her, still slightly in panic mode yet relieved that she doesn't look like she's received the worst news possible. "Are you OK? Did you get my messages? What did the doctor say? How did you get along?" Scott doesn't stop for breath, asking one question directly after another. It's not so much an interrogation, just a really worried and extremely drained boyfriend. Scott takes hold of her hand and guides her over to one of the chairs around the dining table. "You need anything to eat?"

"I sent a couple of texts messages. I was going to call but I didn't want to interrupt the appointment or come across as obsessive. Do I seem a little bit obsessive? I'm not, I swear. I'm just....I've had a lot of coffee since you left, Jen." Scott laughs and realises just how hyped up he sounds. The caffeine still has him buzzing but now that Jen's back and seems happy, he can now begin to wind down and enjoy his last free day before Weekend go off on tour. He walks over to the cupboards and opens them up. When he hears the word "shock", Scott turns around and looks rather concerned again. "W-what happened there? I thought...I thought everything went well." Scott walks back towards Jen and when she says "we", it registers but he can't quite fit it together. He thought she either made a mistake or they're expecting someone to come join them. Scott has no idea Jen's referring to a pregnancy. They weren't trying and when they did have sex, it was always safe. A baby was the last thing on his mind right now. "We? You said we. Is...some coming around? Do I need to put more clothes on?"

"Well at least I know I'm doing a good job of being a husband. Well, in some aspects anyway. I may not be a great cook or a big bit of muscle to hide behind when you're scared but it's good to know that I'm a great worrier," Scott jokes. He listens to his wife while she explains to him that it's a good shock. Before she starts dropping hints, he's rather intrigued and many thoughts rush through his head. What could possibly cause a positive shock to the system during a trip to the doctor's? Scott may not be the quickest off the mark but he's not totally dumb so when Jen announces she's eating for two, he immediately clicks. Later on, he will look back and kick himself for how he reacts right now. Instead of enthusing and being all over Jen, Scott looks a little disheartened and has to take a seat. There are far too many emotions being experienced right now and he can't deal with them all. Anyone would think that it looks like he doesn't care. The truth is, he probably cares TOO much. Of course he loves the idea of being a father and starting a family with the woman he loves most but after losing a child in a past relationship, it's a lot to handle. Losing a baby once is devastating and life changing. Possibly going through it again though doesn't bear thinking about. "Wow....that's um...that's....uh...a baby?" Scott rubs his forehead before running his hand through his hair, trying to process it all. He knows that Jen needs support and he is happy on some level but Scott is feeling rather numb after the bombshell right now.

Ryan lounged on the couch in his living room, his feet up over the coffee table while he played some light chords on his acoustic guitar to construct a melody. Having not done any touring since early 2014, it gave him a chance to spend plenty of time diving his time between his two homes in Montana and his more recent home purchased in the northern midwest. He had a cup of Irish coffee resting on his side, and his typewriter on the table. After having spent the majority of the year in the studio, Ryan opted to take the final two months of the year off from recording, but that didn't keep him from still writing and demoing songs at home. It was second nature to him after doing this as an official career for the last fifteen years. The majority of his time at home he spent alone. At thirty-eight years old, with any wife or kids, and with most of his friends living on opposite ends of the country, it meant he had to keep to himself most of the time he was here in Bozeman. Today was different though, as upstairs he had Amelle Sebert, better known as rapping star Miami, sleeping in his bed. After the two partook in a night of revelry together the night before when she got into town, Ryan was the first one to get up about fifteen minutes ago, opting to let her get some sleep as it was still midmorning.

He was shirtless when he woke up, only wearing a pair of boxers, before opting to throw on the pair of jeans that were messily placed at the floor of his bedroom at some point the night prior. He quietly mumbled some lyrics under his breath over the melody he played on his guitar, his uncombed, black hair pulled back with a blue bandana.

He rose his head up from focusing on his guitar once he heard her voice, smirking as she walked over towards. "Mornin', gorgeous." Ryan placed an arm around her bare waist as she kissed his neck, his fingers slowly trailing her side. "I haven't been up too long, just about fifteen minutes. I didn't want to wake you." He picked up his guitar from resting on his chest, placing it down beside him, turning his attention fully to her. "Last night was a lot of fun." He remarked with a soft chuckle as he thought back to it for a moment, his eyes trailing up and down her frame. With her body nearby, Ryan lowered his head to kiss her forehead. "I made coffee, if you want any." He said, pointing out to the cup that was sitting on the coffee table before them. "Mine has a little whiskey in it, but there's some more in the kitchen that's alcohol-free if that's more down your lane." Ryan enjoyed having her over. While the two were not able to spend much time together due to their respective busy schedules, it was always a good time when the two were able to come together.
