He looks ovr at Tisha and laughs more. "You forget that when you left Studio60 you left the field wide open for Rum & Coke. Plus they out here writing and producing for everybody, including youuu, that label could lose 20 signers tomorrow and still survive all with all them checks." Drew shakes his head and begins to break it down. "This is why I'm tired of little boys posing as rappers. Real men pick and choose their battles, not name every and anyone just because they needed their local radio interview to get some buzz. Real men don't let random men talk shit about them without defending their name. Fuck you thought this was? Are you mad you got your ass handed to you by me and then my baby turned around and tag teamed you? No one gets free passes to just call out names, that's not how shit works. I respect men, you, I don't respect. Your bars are barely passable, they have potentials solely because of their punchlines but you don't know how to carry your artistry out and bring it to the forefront, you won't last long like that. And you're damn right I popped up on Rum & Coke's tours every now and then. What grown man wouldn't be smart and perform in front of 10000+ people when given the opportunity? Just because you're signed to a label means nothing. Each label has about 30+ people and the general public can only name about 8. Getting signed is half the battle, getting your name out there is crucial, fulfilling all that hype is the make it or break and son, you haven't delivered properly since you tried coming for me."
He sits back in his seat. "And that's just the cold hard truth. I'm not being a snob, I don't think you're beneath me. You're just still a boy in my eyes and you wont be a man until you realize your full potential and make shit happen for yourself, no gimmicks needed. |
