AustinNUpdates: Austin on why Make This Work was scrapped as Unscripted's first single: "I was like....yeah, this has single material written all over it and it genuinely was suppose to be the first single from the album but unfortunately I had no idea that the record had a tiny, tiny sample of another song on it and we were told this by The Eleven's after the song was engineered and mixed and the artwork was out to the public, so I was a bit angry. There's certainly nothing wrong with sampling but we didn't want to run the risk of getting sued or having any other drama over a sample, so we had to make sure the sample got cleared and that would take weeks or maybe even months. We didn't want to keep the fans waiting and in the meantime I finished up "Real", and that was just amazing timing that I felt Real should be the single instead, so we went with that. I'm happy I've made that decision, truly happy. Still though, the samples got cleared and there's no bad blood between the producers and I, I still had such a blast recording the song"

AustinNUpdates: Austin on working with Eilidh Ward: "I didn't want my album to be drenched with numerous collaborations. Sometimes I feel like that takes away from the artist itself presenting the body of work because you've got many other people on the record, it just takes away sometimes. But with City That Never Sleeps, makes me feel like I could do a lot more songs with Eilidh. She's just a fun spirit and a great person to have around if you're having a bad day or a down day, she's just so perky and happy and just eager to work and to make great music and that's why I think I had so much fun recording this record because the chemistry was there, we had a great working relationship in the studio so it generally shows when you do listen to City That Never Sleeps. I also felt like our vocals really complimented eachother, specially when we trade harmonies."
