One of the rules I have heard is that once you hear all the rules, you HAVE to play. But since that's nonsense, I'll give you a run down of how I heard it:
1) If you remember that you are playing the game, you lose. You can only lose once per half-hour as I understand it.
2) If you lose, you MUST announce to anyone in the vicinity that you have lost, thus reminding anyone else playing that they have also lost.
3) You can never stop playing the game.
The problem I took with this nonsensical "game" is that there is no winning. Thus I, at the moment of hearing about the game, and piecing together the rules without having them explained, I invented my own counter-game. These are the rules to it:
1) If you are with someone who is playing the game, and you remember they are playing the game, you can choose to remind them and force them to lose, in any manner you choose (be creative, it's more fun).
2) Or don't. Whatever.
