"What's here? My entire life, fam. I grew up in this area..." his voice fads slightly as he walks further into the kitchen, away from the main room. He opens up the fridge and checks out its contents as he continues; "My family home is like a 10 minute walk away. Even the care unit I was in for a bit is like four stops away on the bus. I like normality, bruv. These people know me and I know them. They don't all want a piece of me and just leave me be...well, aside from mad one-off occasions," he says as he holds the patch on his throat. It's pretty clear that this run of the mill existence is perfect for Deneil. The flashy lifestyle makes him nervous and like a fish out of water. He's only just come around to being a local celebrity. There used to be a time when he would avoid all social media and just work away in his basement studio non-stop like a little recluse. Taking him out of his natural habitat would put the fear of God into him. Deneil pours himself a glass of strawberry milk - such a hardcore rapper drink. After providing himself with the frothy pink drink, he then gets a glass for Drew and twists open the lid of his scotch. "This OK for you...or you wanting some milk like me?" he asks jokingly.

Deneil laughs softly and shrugs, putting the cap back on the bottle. It's amazing how quickly he's been able to overcome his excessive drinking. The entire Khan family have a very addictive nature and all have their own weaknesses and cravings. Billy always reaches for some pills or something to smoke in order to give him a buzz, Sayyid gets his highs from overloading himself with work and Deneil finds most pleasure at the bottom of a shot glass. He sets the whisky to one side and pours out some strawberry milk for Drew too. "Something different for you..." he says with a sweet smile as he hands the glass over and sits down on the couch. Deneil's diet is atrocious and he's like a big kid at heart with his sweet tooth and all the junk food that fills his fridge and cupboards. The only greens in his house are the type you smoke. He sighs and brings his feet up onto the couch, getting comfortable as he knows this will be a lengthy discussion. Drew does have good intentions but in actuality, they would only make Drew himself feel better and not Deneil. As odd as it sounds, putting Deneil in a "safer" environment will only make him feel worse as it highlights the fact that his own place is no longer safe and if he should ever return, he'd feel different in the one place where he felt most at home. "Yeah I get you, fam but why should I run from these cunts. A day, a week, a month away...doesn't matter. I'd still come back to the same house with the same people living in the same area, bruv. I get that you care about me. I also understand where Sayy and B are coming from too. It's just...none of you seem to realise that I'm happy here. I..." Deneil takes a deep breath and looks down at his knees, gathering his thoughts for a moment. He vowed not to bring up the incident but it really applies here so he's prepping himself before he relives it. "I nearly died. Not going to dwell on it but you know it and I know it. After enduring that can I not just come home, relax on my couch, go upstairs to play some PlayStation and just be grateful that I still get to do all that regular shit?" There appears to be a little more bite in Deneil's voice now. Evidently, recalling the slashing gets his back up and although he appears cheery, he actually still holds onto a lot of anger over it. Even Deneil did not realise that until he finally spoke on the matter.

Unfortunately for Drew, Deneil is not one to just drop something completely at a moment's notice as he loves to have the last word. Also, whenever he feels like someone is adopting an unnecessary attitude towards him, it severely rubs him up the wrong way. He's not a pacifist by any means and as soon as he's challenged, "street" Deneil immediately rushes to the forefront without warning - a major reason why he's in the state he is today. Deneil can tell by the tone in Drew's voice that he's getting irritated and he believes that he has no right to. He's not the one who is being told what to do. He's not the one just coming back from the brink of death. Not that Deneil loves to be a victim but he believes he has more right to be pissed than Drew right now. "Nah fam, what the hell you talking 'bout? I've been to your place many fucking times. Don't act like you're the only one jumping through hoops. I don't mind going to Brooklyn for a few days but it's funny how as soon as I'm home, everyone wants me out of it. Anywhere but here. Billy's place, Brooklyn, Sayy's place. It doesn't feel like you're offering a visit. Feels like you're trying to wrap me up in cotton wool, bruv. Don't fucking need it. Forgive me for wanting to be in my own home for a while after...that. I bought this place, I pay the bills so I'm entitled to stay in it." Deneil sounds more irritated in his delivery than Drew ever was but it's his way of trying to shut it down and put a stop to things before they escalate any further. The fact that Deneil likes to swear a lot and has one of the most aggressive sounding voices when he's pissed also make his rants seem that tad more vicious. Deneil sighs and looks across the room, focusing on his fireplace just to take his mind off of everything else. He absolutely hates arguing with Drew but Deneil will always fight his case no matter who he has to rally with.

Deneil has a short fuse and often takes an argument as far as he can in order to win even when he knows he's in the wrong. He hates to lose. Right now, however, he feels like his annoyance is completely justified and believes that Drew is totally in the wrong on this one. He's spent enough time with Drew to realise how petty he can be but to actually hear him say he'd gladly leave him here on his own really hurt. The truth of the matter is, Deneil doesn't even care about being on his own. It was Drew's delivery of his words that made it seem rather cold and what Deneil took away from the statement was that his lover sees him as a victim, like another brick will come through as soon as he's on his own and he'll be all defenceless without Drew around. That really grinds his gears. "You saying that I need you around for protection?! Funny. Last time you 'had my back' I got my fucking throat cut!" Deneil is now full-on yelling at him and what he said was rather low. It wasn't Drew's fault that it happened to him. He was too far away to do anything at the time and was still helping his lover out in the fight. Still, if Drew is going to be petty and try to guilt trip him into feeling something, Deneil can do exactly the same thing. Deneil immediately walks away, storming into the kitchen and leaning against the sink with his back turned to Drew. He needs to take a breather and stop himself before he does any more damage. Although Deneil does not want Drew to see it, his boyfriend can probably tell by his arm movements from behind that he's rubbing the patch on his throat to soothe it. That shouting put strain on his vocal chords and neck. Even though he hates to admit it, Deneil really is injured and he's starting to see why people are worrying about him. "Sorry..." says a muffled, defeated voice from the kitchen.

Deneil is immediately filled with guilt and regret after saying such a thing to Drew. It's an odd and new feeling to Deneil. He is usually one to hold grudges for a while and always takes fights as far as they can go. He'll never backtrack right there on the spot and admit he was wrong. He likes to win and make the other person back down first but evidently, not with Drew. The thought of losing him even if for only a few hours while they cool off is a thought that shakes him. He's realising that he can't stand being mad at this man. Drew means so much to him and even though he's known this for a long time, it's really hitting home tonight. He absolutely loves and adores Drew Westbrook. "I don't...I don't mean to sound like a prick...things are just...real fucked up, fam. I'm sorry." Although he hates to admit it, Deneil is actually scared. Things are changing rapidly and it's something that he is truly terrified of. He likes stability. Now he finds himself in a secret and serious relationship with another man, still engaged to an estranged fiancee, almost died and0 now realises that he might not be as tough as he once thought. Deneil is truly shaken. He prays that he doesn't have to explain all of this to Drew as it will hurt his pride. Hopefully Drew can figure this out by himself and console him. When Drew asks about his neck, he nods and lets go of the patch while still facing away from his boyfriend. "I'm fine...just strained my neck a little..." Deneil speaks quietly and sniffles as he fights back watery eyes. He is NOT going to get all in his feelings in front of Drew. "Bruv...just...just hug me, yeah?" Deneil slowly turns around and looks at Drew, trying his best not to start bawling. He doesn't want to have a big debate nor make a fuss about how emotional he's feeling right now. Deneil would rather they not say anything, hug it out and have an unspoken understanding.

Deneil snuggles into Drew and uses the embrace as a way of regaining some composure. He is normally a pretty chill guy and hates experiencing such heightened emotions. Like Billy, Deneil doesn't really know how to express himself properly when he's feeling some kind of way so prefers to stay mellow. He's already been on the verge of anger and upset in the space of a few minutes and doesn't want to take it any further. He knows that if he continues acting all proud and pissed, he'll do something he regrets. Likewise, Deneil also does not want to start weeping and getting all in his feelings as he fears making Drew feel awkward and looking like an idiot. Although it's not the healthiest thing to do, Deneil prefers to just bottle things up and move along. He stays silent in the hug, gathering himself and his thoughts together and taking it Drew's natural scent which always provides such comfort to him. Drew can probably feel how fast Deneil's heart is pounding right now and how it gradually winds down the longer they hug. Goes to show how wound up he was becoming. After a few moments of silence, Deneil speaks in a soft and quiet voice, "I'll go with you...for a little while..." Deneil has finally acknowledged that he, for once, didn't know best. That's a huge step for him.

Deneil has been to Brooklyn a handful of times and isn't afraid to leave his beloved London behind for a few days or even a week but it's the circumstances this time around that are really eating away at him. Ditching this place for a while would not be like a vacation to him but more like him running away. It was a hard decision to come around to. Most people would jump at the chance to get away but for Deneil, choosing the reasonable and easy option over his pride was difficult. He flashes an adorable little smile after Drew kisses him on the forehead. A total sucker for his affection. "Yeah but only for a little while, yeah? Still need to come back here at some point and face it, fam." Deneil is clearly not going to completely abandon this place any time soon. If Drew wants him to permanently up and leave, that will have to be a whole other big conversation (and fight) at some other point in time. He's already taking many big steps today as it is. Deneil can't help but chuckle as he recalls how mad at each they were just mere minutes ago. "We must be fucking crazy, bruv!" Deneil smirks and gently starts to kiss on his boyfriend's neck.

Deneil can't believe how extra they were being earlier on. They are both stubborn as fuck and have to really push and make things worse rather than admitting defeat straight away and allow themselves to take the easy road. It's one of the qualities in Drew that really gets him going though. Deneil loves that he can challenge and has just as much fire and passion inside him as he does himself. "Tomorrow morning, I'll pack my bags. Alright, bruv?" Deneil speaks in a very slow, deep and seductive voice before laying another kiss on Drew's neck. If there is one thing Deneil is proud of, it's how he can work his mouth. From kissing to doing more explicit things with it, he really knows what he's doing and how to get Drew going with those lips. At first the kisses are gentle but they eventually build up into something more intense. "No fucking interruptions this time, fam." Deneil says with a small laugh as he kisses Drew on the cheek. He is referring to the fact that the last time they had sex, a brick was launched through the window and the worst night of their lives then ensued. Deneil was just giving a little nod to that night and doesn't outwardly bring it up so he doesn't kill the mood. Deneil pulls off his pajama top, bottoms and socks, throwing them across the room.
