Feels Right is a fresh blend of indie pop and romantic ballads. The track is very stripped back and carries a piano tune throughout the whole song. Accompanying it is melow drums playing in the back, giving the track a very slow tempo jazzy feel to it. We as well hear altered flutes during the bridge of the chorus until the chrous kicks in and the drums begin to be a bit more uptempo. The instrumental from its beginning was always meant to be slow, with a bold chrous like any good ballad. The track was produced and mastered by, Fraser T. Smith & Paul Epworth.
Lyrically the song tells of a broken one sided relationship. Giving many hints that one of the partners was having an affair with someone elese, while the other knew about it but kept quiet. The lyrics give hints to the broken relationship. During the chorus it's made very obvious that the cheated on has no real option but to accept the sad outcome of he or she's relationship. On the second verse we see that the cheated on confronted the cheater, but the cheater only made excuse to hide the love crime they have committed. The lyrics are well composed for any good broken hearted playlist. The lyrics were written by, Medina Valbak.
BACKGROUND:
With an almost two year hiatus many didn't expect to see much from Medina. Until she recently announced on Twitter that she was releasing music in 2017, which made fans very excited. Little did they know that Medina had been working on her sophomore album in secret all 2015, 2016 and 2017. She began working on the album with Fraser T. Smith in Stockholm, then moved the project to Las Angeles. Medina did have some issues while working on the record, such as her label change and trying to find her sound. Recently Medina finished her final recordings and is now doing the finishing touches for her sophomore album. She's picked the singles, and is now ready to start this new ear with all her fan

Julian Morello: There's been a little resurgence of comebacks recently, it's great to see. But your return in particular is one that I'm perhaps more pleased about. I think there's such a coolness and old-school quality to you that reminds me of a Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks vibe. Lyrically and vocally this is a powerful returning track and I can't wait to hear more from you soon. I'm sure it's gonna be great! |

Michelle Green: It's wonderful to see you back on the scene, Medina! I really enjoyed your earlier work but I can tell that this new era is going to go above and beyond that, hun. There's a real simplicity here in the lyrics, production and the delivery yet is still hits the right notes and doesn't seem underdeveloped in any way. You've found the perfect balance.
