erich makes an impressed face. he was also a firm believer in paying people what they are worth. the hess clan's bus driver,the non android one,easily cleared six figures for a world tour. it kept loyalty and a certain amount of discretion. "now i cant pin my theft of your bath towels on the maid." erich says with a pout. he had a pretty sizable collection of towels from people's houses. he believed towels should never be actually purchased. at least by him. selene naked through the house did make for a good mental picture . Erich laughs and spins the key to the duke on his finger. The Ship was probably the the one material possession he was most proud of. It served as home,studio,music venue,and could take him where he wanted to go. "Solitude is nice sometimes. you don't own a yacht?" Erich says in disbelief. Erich loved the ocean and assumed any one with the means would own a boat of sorts. " the duke is like a yacht...but far more over compensating." he cracks up,far from oblivious to the jokes to be made. " I hate apartments too. Americans weren't meant to be contained." he was pleased with Selene's reason for not living in a communal building. He was rather found of all the things houses had. Plus the pool intrigued him. His own pool was more algae than water. Erich twists his imaginary mustache. " very true,though coming from what could be the poster girl for a femme fatale..." Erich replies with a chin scratch of his own. He liked the play on the distrust she initially had for him. " college,eh? Please tell me you kicked that girls gone wild guy in the nuts at least once. I'm assuming a business major?" he asks,rather interested in what the past of Selene had . " but to answer your question,I'm alone for the most part anymore. Erica Hess and Nina sangria stay there sometimes." He says with a shrug. It probably sounded far more sordid than it was. Erich gives Selene's hair a little twirl with his finger thoughtfully. " I'd assume you'd lose your costume first. Butler Crap has too many layers....unless I break out the assless pants version." he says thoughtfully. Erich looked out the window at Selene's neighborhood. He wondered who the rest of these people were. What sorts of people did she live around? It was a beautiful place. He hated new York city,but liked upstate and the non city parts. He politely looks the other way when she enters her code. " reminds me of south beach. Even the dogs are pretty here." he comments as a man walking a tan shar pei is across the street.
He hops out after she parks and opens the rear door while nodding a whistle of approval. " it's beautiful ,Selene. Not to sound like a cheesy pick up line,but it's exactly what I expected of you. Exuding class without being gaudy. You need a silver Aston Martin in front of it though." he says looking around.

Erich laughs and tells Selene," you won't find it absurd when the inevitable zombie apocalypse happens. You and I are going to have to ride it out and repopulAte the earth...or at least go through the motions." he says this matter of factly,like it could happen at any moment. He has to admit Selene has a good point. It would be far more dangerous for her to roam about freely. She seemed to think of herself as being very valuable, so Erich thought the same. " you are a delicate flower...that apparently can kick ass if need be. No sense advertising what a valuable and vulnerable target you are." he agrees. In some ways Selene reminded him of Dustyn. They lived in a world with problems Erich never had to even consider . Erich grins back at Selene's devilish grin. She was good at she did and wanted people to know It. " I've lived the rock and roll life and even I found that guy intolerable." Erich says with distaste. He wasn't a prude,but he did draw the line somewhere. "I think it's cute you guys were engaged through college. I hear it can do a number on a relationship. I do admire people who do what you do. I know I could never cut it in the business world. Its people like you that let people like me do what we do. I like the sausage but I don't want to see how it's made." he states seriously. It was a symbiotic relationship that a lot of people didn't want to admit existed. The Erica topic....it was the subject of much contempt in erich's marriage. He sighed deeply,it was best to get this out of the way early. " yeah....." he says slowly before looking over to Selene. " my true,legal sister is Jayne wriggle. Her father adopted me when I was 17 from my own parents. Erica is more my sister in we shared an acid trip and were bound for life. There's been....things There. We were married mainly for the sake of a mail order bride joke. We went our seperate ways for a bit until both our relationships failed....for all I know ada ran off with Erica's girlfriend. Anyways, we tried things again ,but it got weird. Nina sangria is Erica's best friend since forever." Erich says,rattling off the condensed version,but wanting to leave nothing out. He didn't want to seem like he was holding any detail of his life from Selene. Erich takes out his phone and punches in a reminder to throw out all his assless clothing. He holds it up to Selene. He still planned on keeping the assless golf pants. Those were comedy gold. Erich looked almost as lustfully at her cars as he Did her. There were no cars that doubled as appliances here. No. This woman knew how to spend some pennies. " Selene. Your room. Now." he says with a laugh and a faux undoing of his pants. " miss Selene. If I didn't know better , I'd say you're trying to seduce me. You do need a classic in here though. I've got a db-5 I've been working on. Once I get the proper wheels for it, I want you to have it." he tells her. She'd defiantly look the part tooling around in it while wearing Jackie o glasses.

" I don't know about you,but I don't think a cultural touchstone like zombies would be a lie." Erich gives a laugh as if this is the most obvious thing in the world,but then adds " seriously though,the zombie apocalypse would be very short. Decay would quickly render them skeletal." he was a man who thought things through. Sometimes. " you seem anything but harmless,Selene. Oh you are sweet,beautiful,and super engaging. But there is an undercurrent of menace there. " Erich tells her with a knowing wag of his finger. He knew enough of her that he didn't want to know what her bad side was like. It was sweet to hear Selene speak of her college relationship. It really almost made Erich want to help her patch that up. But seeing as they worked together,it wasn't like they never had ample time to rekindle that. " wait wait wait. The woman who can keep up with ME, while drinking absinthe....wanted to stay home in college and it was her man that was out drinking?! Damn. I'll have to go out drinking with that bastard." Erich says with a certain admiration. Liquor tolerance was a strange and wonderful sight to behold. He adjusts his hair in the mirror. There was nothing worse than an uneven pompadour. " yup. That's about right. Erica Hess and I took similar names because we thought the white stripes were cool. Nobody knew if Jack and meg were married,siblings,both..meh....you had to be there." He laughs at the silly idea young Erich and Erica had. " you would be surprised at people wanting the film rights to things I've done. But I refuse to be made into a cartoon." Erich states with a smirk. He knew he was a borderline stereotype as is. He shuddered to think what some one else's take on him would be. Erich was interested in Selene's past, but wasn't sure how to ask. The music industry rarelu had happy backstories. Erich really gives a good belly laugh at Selene 's prospect of using the cars to get Erich upstairs earlier. " What can I say? I'm far easier to bed than most." he says with dirty smile. Erich starts getting together some of the bags and boxes. He could only imagine what the inside of this house was like. He had high hopes for her sense of decorating. " my car? Its a car I own. But I wouldn't call it mine. . " Erich states almost as if it's a Zen mantra. He probably owned about 30 vehicles at any time. But only considered a handful as his. The rest he considered himself as caretaker for, or disposable. "British cars make the greatest gifts. I've given a pair of triumphs to Billy and dustyn of weekend....even though neither can drive."

Erich's smile grew as Selene spoke. She was Indeed a very driven person. This came through whenever She spoke of herself,and Erich admired That. He had little respect for anyone who had success that they didn't earn and just sort of fell into. His own success came from relentless touring in previous years. He missed what a normal life would usually entail,which is why he aimed for calm in his personal life. " Selene,you are amazing. Shit,if I had half your drive and vision....well,let's just say Atomic war bride's picture wouldn't Grace studio60's bathrooms." he says with a laugh.in spite of the neighborhood,Erich still checked to make sure the truck doors were shut. " my early years were sort of the opposite." he continues," I was out There playing shows every night. Seeing just how much booze and other bits and bobs I could ingest. I'm paying for it Now,of course. Nobody wants to come see a sober Erich Hess perform. I probably should have done it your way." he says with a light hearted smirk. Erich did see what he did and who he was a a full-time job. If he wasn't a constant entertainer,he'd feel he was failing. " gold digger?" Erich says in surprise. "I never got that vibe from you. But you are quite the little surprise. You're like the Spanish inquisition. And nobody expects that." Erich praises Selene. She was highly interesting to Erich since the interior didn't match the exterior's image. Erich blushes when Selene says he is a catch. She was many things,but a billshitter wasn't one of them. So Erich took thAt compliment to heart. "That's really good to hear. Erica thinks you are the cats pajamas. I agree with you. Who some one sees fit to marry says quite a bit about them. Would you ever do it again? Not that I'm asking for Your hand yet!" Erich says in a mock panic,waving the clothes on hangers around. Erich makes it a point to finish the Aston for Selene's birthday. A set of original spoked wheels became his latest quest. As they walk the driveway,Erich gives an approving nod to the grounds. He always loved grass in the northern part of the us. Grass in the south tended to be spotty and filled with sand spurs.....or he just grew up with people who didn't give a Damn about their lawns.

Once inside Erich took it all in. It was the kind of place that definitely had furniture that wasn't meant to be sat on. He involuntarily slipped his hands in to his pockets. The accidental breaking of some thing seemed to lurk around him like a mist.

Erich places what he was carrying On the back of a chair,making sure nothing was folded oddly. " rules were meant to be broken." Erich states and looks out the window long enough to make it seem like he wasn't going to take off his shoes. Using the toe of one shoe on the heel of the other,he slipped off his black Chuck Taylor's. They were nearly new since he didn't want to look scruffy around Selene. His socks were grey Argyll. It was adorable to see Selene with her dog. Erich wouldn't own a dog of his own, in fact he didn't own any animals,but He enjoyed other people's. " does he usually bite strangers? " Erich asks,slightly wary of the dog. He was of firm belief that anything with teeth could bite. But he'd take a chance if the odds were In his favor.

"Very true. I like think I subscribe to the law of diminishing returns. It makes what I do extremely valuable. If that doesn't work,well I could just borrow some of your work ethic." Erich liked her take on things. If things did end up long term, they made two halves of a pretty good whole. Erich gives a little smirk and replies, " weeping into your champagne aboard a yacht is so much more glamorous than crying into a bar urinal. No matter how much ice is in it." Erich never really had to deal with mean comments. He was like a modern day Jimmy durante. Everyone loved him. Or if they didn't,they probably should. Needless to say,Erich could have a pretty high opinion of himself. Erich firmly shakes his head and holds Selene by the shoulders. " Selene, you're already her type. Don't exacerbate things by wearing cat anything. That's kind of her kink." Erich dramAtiCally warns Selene. Being his best friend,Erich wasn't above making Erica out to be a sex crazed maniac. He'd expect the same of her. Erich is pleased with Selene's answer. He felt his first real marriage was way too fast. He probably should have stuck with the sham marriage to Erica. At least that one was funny. " maybe one day again. But I don't feel the need for ceremony to be committed to anyone. " Erich states honestly. He looks down at his sock clad feet and Selene's kitchen. It took great restrain not to reenact the scene from risky business.

"Gianni,I'll assume after Versace? To sound horribly like I'm trying to impress you,my dad once called a talentless hack by him." Erich proudly says. Randy wriggle was a fixture of Miami's art and design community.though some would say scourge. Jayne shared very little of her father,outwardly. While Erich took a lot of his cues from Randy wriggle. Given the go ahead by both Selene And Gianni the dog,Erich stoops down and starts rubbing the dogs side,all while baby talking the dog. " who's a good dog? Look at those pudgy little thighs. Who's got chunky thighs? You do! Yes you do." Erich takes a break from dog bonding and asks," does this place do a good general tso's? I like my Chinese food,like I like my lady. Sweet and spicy."

It had been a long few weeks for Selene. Things at Permanent Reminder were great but the atmosphere was very tense due to a lot of new projects getting started. If anyone knew Selene she was very headstrong and a little bit of a perfectionist. She also liked getting things her way, so when a few employees fell short in those categories, she had no problem letting them know it. On top of that, she hadn't seen her significant other, Erich Hess, in a while due to then touring and her being unavailable to go see him as much as she wanted. Fortunately for her, she was all caught up with her work and decided to pay him a little visit.

As always, she never really knew what to expect when they were together, which is one of the reasons she's so fond of him. He really helped to bring back her wild and inhibited side. She had contacted him and he had given her the most obscure directions to finding the place he was staying at. Selene had never felt so lost in her life. It took her an entire day just to solve his riddle, but here she was, standing in front of the door which supposedly had Hess behind it. Dressed from head to toe in designer clothing, from her simple body suit covered with some blue jeans to her thousand dollar high heels and purse, this was her version of toning it down. She didn't want to stand out too much which of course made her stand out regardless. She knocked on the door and waited for a response.

"You better be in here Erich." She mumbled to herself.

Much to Selene's chagrin, of course he wouldn't simply answer the door, but she wasn't afraud of a little back and forth. "No sweetie, it's me. I'm sorry I'm late but the viagra and penis pump took much longer to buy than expected! And don't worry, I didn't forget the hemorrhoid cream either." A lot of people would think Selene was too stuck up to respond to such comments but she knew how to appeal to many different people. It was part of her charm. Plus, it was a little payback for having ran around a town with nothing but a drawing, a horroble one at that, as her only directions.

As she waited dor him, she checked her phone before tucking it away in her purse. She didn't like for work to distract her from time with Erich but that was how it worked out sometimes. If only people would just do what she says then there'd be no problems.

When he opened the door, she smiled and hugged him back. "I missed you too. I'm slightly less pissed about the map now, but I've stored it away in my memory for future references." She managed to sneak a peek in the room he was staying in and for most people, they would freak out at the sight of a half naked woman in their boyfriend's room but not Selene. She had done her homework and found out about him a little bit, but she didn't know everything about him.

"And who is this?" Selene asked but not in a jealous tone but more of a genuine interested tone.
