Reuben doesn't know what to think when Tatiana asks him if he's "special". There are many things about it that make him feel awkward. For a start, he's not sure if it's all one big joke. They seem to have a different sense of humour across the pond and maybe he is just missing the punchline here. Also, if she is serious, Reuben has no idea if she's mocking the fact that a lot of Nickelodeon actors aren't the brightest or if she's picking up on his broken English and deafness. "Uh...no I not special. I am a little deaf and English is not my first language. Maybe I sound a little uh...different?" Reuben says with a smile. He'd rather own it than have the language barrier thing make him feel awkward.

"Haha, yeah Payton is the best. He is like a brother to me. Annoying brother...but still love him. He and his side of the family have been very good to me." Reuben smiles, feeling genuinely grateful for everything his cousin and his family have done for him over the years. He takes another swig from the bottle and hands it back over to Sabina. Reuben is starting to feel the impact of the booze now. He chuckles and rests his other arm on the side of the pool. "You are a lot of fun too! I am glad we all get along in here. It is very nice atmosphere, you think?"

Talking to Chaelin, Reuben makes sure to focus on her lips to figure out what she's saying as there is a little distance between them. "Well there is no dull moments with Payton around, I tell you that!" He chuckles and stretches his legs out in the pool, feeling weightless. "Payton is definitely the wild one but I like to have fun too. Life is all about that, yes?" Reuben smiles and scoops his hair back from his eyes again. "Can you believe we are actually inside the Big Brother house? Crazy!" Reuben tilts his head back and looks up at the sky, taking in the moment with the people around him.

"Leather...Barney... Volts?" Misu tried to piece together this outfit in her head but the image just wasn't clicking. "So is it only weird stuff for people with weird desires or like...hm. Misu's not sure how to ask this. How do you feel about Kinbaku?" She says the last part in a whisper, not wanting too many people to hear her ask about Japanese bonding.

"Oooh, I'm scared!" Misu says to Nina. "If Miki wasn't my cousin, I would've already snapped her in two." She shakes the water out of her hair as she also steps out of the pool and sits on the edge, just getting her feet wet. People are starting to leave he pool so now she's​ just chilling. At least she was before she over heard Tatiana ask Reuben is he was mentally challenged. This really grinded her gears, for YEARS American media outlets have torn her apart by making fun of her broken English and implying that she was about as smart as a third grader. Hearing someone ask something so insensitive really struck a nerve and brought up old feelings. Everyone else decided to not even say anything but Misu never stopped herself from speaking her mind.

Misu looks over to Reuben and Tatiana. "Did Misu just hear what Misu just heard?" She furrowed her brow. "You think broken English is equivalent to mental disabilities?! What the fuck is wrong with you, han.." Misu look straight ahead, scoffing. "We don't speak perfect English and they think we're aliens. Misu can't even." She mumbled under her breath.

Reuben isn't a standoffish person at all and in fact, he's very open about stuff. He has to live with his difficulties so he's definitely comfortable with them and not ashamed. What he hates though is feeling dumb. It's not anyone's fault, it's just that sometimes he doesn't understand someone's wording or sense of humour and it makes him feel...dense. "Oh I not born with this at all. I had a traumatic brain injury when I was a child. I fell off my bike at very high speed and hit my head on huge rocks. Caused trauma in head and ear. Very scary time!" Reuben signs some of his sentence unknowingly. He smiles, seeming pretty chill with it all and relieved that Tati wasn't having a dig at him, something which he's endured enough of in life.

He waves Chaelin off as she leaves the pool. It is getting extremely late but Reuben is fine exactly where he is. "Goodnight, Chae. I see you in the morning!"

When he realises that Tatiana's comments have irked Misu, he turns around and waves his hand. He can't speak for Misu but he knows that Tati's words didn't offend him. Reuben hates confrontation and the last thing he wants is to be in the middle of it during the first night. "Oh,
Misu...it is OK. Tati was not being rude to me." He gives a reassuring smile.
