Track: All Talk Artist: Allison Cooper Genre: Power Pop Label: Just Record Records, Dahlhouse Entertainment Written by: Allison Cooper, Airemese Nicole Smith Produced by: Flame 1&2 Length: 3:26
All Talk is a song recorded by American actress and singer Allison Cooper. The song serves as a single from the singer's debut album, My Turn, seeking to impact radio on September 10th, 2017. The song is also her first release under her brand new contract with Just Record Records, with additional promotion from Dahlhouse Entertainment. Written by Allison Cooper herself with help from Airemese "Coke" Smith, the production is handled solely by Flame 1&2. All Talk is a hard hitting Power Pop song and it can easily be described as Allison's most upbeat track to date. Lyrically, the song explores the topic of asexuality through it's flirty lyrics and positive vibe.
On December 25th, 2016, Allison Cooper released her album's lead single independently. Some Girls was an Electropop duet between Cooper and longtime friend, Aikya Balan. Despite receiving absolutely no promotion, the song manages to peak at #7 on the charts and was played frequently on the radio. The critically acclaimed song was a reminder to the industry just what Allison was capable of and not soon after, her music career began to pick back up. In February of 2016, barely 2 months later, Just Record Records announced their signing of Allison Cooper. In just a few months, Allison Cooper began working on her well overdue debut album. She began working with different songwriters and producers who all had their own visions for her. However, Allison Cooper had really wanted to start singing happier, more positive songs. After getting tired of waiting around for someone else to do it for her, Allison Cooper began to write the "happy" song herself. Thus, "All Talk" was born.
All Talk is a Power Pop song about Allison's sexuality. For the first time in a song, she opens up about being an Ace (short for Asexual) and how it effects her romantic relationships. Like any other sexual orientation, asexuality is complicated and doesn't necessarily mean that an Ace isn't sexually active. Throughout the song, Allison explains that actions do nothing for her but it's the idea of love behind them that counts the most. She takes the song one step further and even claims that while most people show affection through physical contact, she shows affection through odd, yet warm conversation. The music hits just as hard as her words, the song quickly fades from a quiet piano ballad and into a percussion heavy radio hit. Though her range is still limited, Allison's voice finds new strength in this song and she definitely shows it off while belting the entire chorus. She makes the best of her naturally scratchy voice, and in her own way, showcases an entirely new sense of confidence.

It's hard to explain just how scared My heart's geared up, always prepared But I love it when you make a move Validates how I feel about you I raise my tongue, that's all I got My secret weapon always hits the spot
Oh, oh, oh, let's talk! I let my jaw work, mind's over doing the hard work Oh, oh, oh, I'm all talk! I just let my jaw work
Who needs a kiss when you're so loquacious? My words hit harder than a brick Yeah, I talk a little too much Cause I don't ever really do much Who needs a touch when you're so loquacious? My words hit ya harder than life does Yeah, I talk a little too much I won't ever want to do much But run off with me Just run away with me Run that motormouth with me I may talk a little too much But I love to listen
It's hard to explain just how scarred Don't have enough of a heart to break into shards But I love when you're all over me Is it weird you make me feel like a human being? I got a tongue and that's all I need
My words hit harder than life does Yeah, I talk a little too much I won't ever want to do much But run off with me Just run away with me Run that motormouth with me I may talk a little too much But I love to...
Let my jaw work! Mind's over doing the hard work, my mind's over doing the hard work I let my jaw work My mind's over doing the hard work I let my jaw work Mind's over doing the hard work, my mind's over doing the hard work Come get this jaw work! My mind's over doing the hard work
Who needs a kiss when you're so loquacious? My words hit ya harder than a brick Yeah, I talk a little too much Cause I don't ever really do much Who needs a touch when you're so loquacious? My words hit harder than life does Yeah, I talk a little too much I won't ever want to do much But run off with me Just run away with me Run that motormouth with me I may talk a little too much But I love to listen
