Yes, next month is National Novel Writing Month 2009. 50,000 words in 30 days.
This will be my third attempt at it, but this time I'm going in with a simple plan to not try and construct a careful story in 30 days, but instead to just write anything I possibly can into it, and sort it all out later. Like Bear V. Shark, short chapters will be the order of the day, allowing me to keep things fresh, and essentially write stuff that doesn't necessarily have a single straight-lined narrative.
After all, if I can't put together 50,000 words of a coherent well thought out story, I can at least vomit out 50,000 words of dense stream of consciousness drivel moving from topic to topic with no concern for narrative. |

I would have liked to do this, but alas, November came too soon, and I didnt finish my other book fast enough. |
