Dubstep? Chiptune? Ambience?

It don't matter here, just shout out some of that serious electronicism you like, even if it's Aphex Twin (no one post the Come to Daddy or Windowlicker videos, I need to sleep tonight after all).

Talk about some of the top bands of the multiple sub-genres.

One video per post please.

I am a fan of Chillwave with artists like Blackbird Blackbird, Neon Indian, Idiot Glee and Toro y Moi.

Idiot Glee is a weird one, has a bit of doo-wop in there too.

I like my electronic music to either by really nice & chilled out & soothing but still sort of vaguely noise-related, with examples being Fennesz, Tim Hecker or some of Aidan Baker's stuff, or else really disconcerting and glitchy, like Venetian Snares. But then I also like Daft Punk. Really, electronic music is still mostly unexplored territory for me.

Yeah, I know Boards of Canada. Glasgow band I think? No, Edinburgh. Still, Scottish. And I guess thinking about it "band" is maybe not the right term to use. "Group" could be more appropriate.

I enjoy my chillwave and electro-indie if that counts, well you could basically throw 'dream pop' in there too. Gotta list M83, Neon Indian, Perfume Genius, Youth Lagoon, Washed Out and Tycho as some of my favourite. Although you can't go wrong with basically anything on SubPop.

Love this song. One of my favorites by M83.

I forgot to name my favourite electonic act, Ulver. Their first records were black metal but stuff like Themes from William Blake's The Marriage Of Heaven & Hell & Perdition City don't even hint at that past

Within the last month or so, I've gotten into something called witch house. It sounds like dark electronic pop music, far from new age, but gives that same dark feeling (I consider new age kinda dark for me lol, I'm a weak person I guess). I even went to go see a band called Salem, but they suck.

Otherwise, I like stuff like chill-wave. Except, none of the song titles make sense with the songs (other than the ones that repeat the title throughout the song). Like, for instance, I have know idea what Neon Indian's song "Polish Girl" has anything to do with an actual Polish girl. Maybe I'm just too old for this crazy youngster sha-bang stuff.

I like euro-dance also, stuff like Michael Schossaw, Daft Punk, Eiffel 65 (lol).

I have to catch up on eletronic music.
