Horrendously offensive novelty "comedy" drivel, at least Weird Al manages to be funny the first time you hear it, these guys, nah. Plus they end up lionised as some sort of amazing comedy collaboration. Stupid.

What the fuck? Look, music is music. If the music sounds good to me, I like it, if the music sounds wank then it's wank. In comedy music, generally it's all shit. Not funny. And the music itself sucks too. Guess what? Don't want to listen to music that sucks. The thing with Tenacious D is, I don't find what they do particularly funny, nor enjoyable on any musical level. Frank Zappa is probably the only artist to get the humour:music ratio quite right, being weighted heavily in favour of the music, the humour being just a smaller facet thereof.

That being said, I don't detest Tenacious D, I just feel about them the same way I feel about movies like American Pie - I think I'm above that kind of humour. I'll take a bone-dry wit or a curious absurdity over dick-and-fart jokes any day.

The only thing I like about Jack Black is that he has a catchy name. Other than that, he's obsolete to me. He's not funny. Little kids love his shitty movies. He can't sing, or play guitar for that matter.
