 After a long year, Den finally releases new music with 'Uncover It', a single written entirely by the singer and produced by legendary producer Danja and Dj Rashai, Den's husband.
What's interesting about the song, it's definately the dark theme and feeling you get by it. The lyrics can have an impact on the listener, talking about how the deepest of love could have secrets, how sometimes secrets can even lead to violence and bad things, as Den addresses in the verses. This may probably be a hint of some past experience with one of his exes, like Kegan Dawson who was reportedly accused in the past for causing issues due to abuses, violence and jealousy.
The main inspiration hasn't been confirmed though, but the whole feeling of the song is definately darker than anything the singer has ever done before and you would expect him to be more into fun and happy feelings after his marriage, but he seems to dig in the most hidden feelings and experiences with this new sound and lyrics written, not to mention the strong sexual connection becoming more esplicit than the naive, fun ones hinted at in past songs.
In the vocals and the overall sound of the song there is also here a turn to 'darkness' as Den seems to head more into a sort of RnB, trap type of song which was never explored before by the singer. The two producers Danja and Dj Rashai do a good job uniting mystery and adrenaline into the instrumental of the song, but Den manages to add also not only some good vocals with a well done falsetto on the high notes and chest voice on the lower ones, he almost raps in the middle eight part as he does a spoken part that underlines the lyrics perfectly.
