A new song were finished this week bringing the total to 9 meaning we need just one more song for the album! Exciting, cause there are only 8 weeks(ooc:8 days) until the album comes out. The art work was released last week, its really cool, Joey painted it. I still cant believe this is our 10th album! It doesnt seem like it should be. Seems like just yesterday that "Rock" was released but that was nearly 19 years ago! Well, I'm starting to rabble on, so I will talk more later.

Johnny and Joey Johnson have just announced that they will be writing their biography to be released as a history of The Rockers and a memoir of sorts. They are currently preparing to begin writing.

OOC: I have decided that this is what I am doing for the NANOWRIMO thing, now if only November 1st would come faster and November 30th a lot slower. Lol

The Rockers released the third and final single from the upcoming album today! Its called "Break Free" and contains the title track.

1. Break Free - 6:44 - If there has ever been such a thing as an epic song, its this one. Chimes, keyboards, sound effects, synthesizers, and the usual instruments make this song a heavy outburst of hope and rebound. The lyrics talk about wild and crazy things happening to people and the rebounds and changes of the people and how they stay alive and keep going. This song is Cut Loose on steroids. A tone that slowly gets higher until bursting out in a keyboard/guitar dual solo that ranges from good old rock n roll to blue to 80s pop rock. In an unusual move for the band this song perfectly blends Meat Loafs Bat out of Hell with Europe's Final Countdown in song for the ages that will be remembered for its strange lead synthesizer lead opening.

2. Just Wont Quit - 4:55 - A piano driven emotional cry out for a lovers devotion. The lyrics tell the story of a man and woman who are in a long game of cold feet and cant decide if they want to stay together or move on. Its told from the males point of view and shows a deep dark love that he has from the bottom of his soul for her and her complete abandon of him. The only instruments used here are a piano and drums. The song has a tone similar to the soft spoken love songs of the 80s and really makes a person sad and shows Johnny Johnson's true ability to sing ranging from a C3 to a high C4.

3. Fly Away - 3:25 - A guitar driven instrumental with emotion and power that blends notes together causing a smooth streaming sound that feels like water flowing through the mountains. Expertly pieced together this song shows Randy Wildes guitar ability and goes into a drum solo that shows Gary Roberts perfect beet keeping ability. Overall this song shows that while Joey and Johnny may be the main two guys in the public, Gary and Randy do have a strong purpose in the band.

1. Stop Me - What better than a song about a guy coming onto a girl weather she likes him or not? Word play and innuendos also here, and the lyrics are spat out at lightning speed, and the guitar work is quick and heavy with a simple rock drum beat heard faintly in the back ground.

2. Don't Quit - A song with some play on words and sex references.

3. Cut Loose - A song about being your own person with a deep beat and a strong guitar rhythm. (similar to Foreigners "Juke box Hero")

4. One Hell of a Day - A quick song about a bad day featuring lyrics knocking big wigs, super market cashiers and tax return offices. Features the solo that was posted recently.

5. Lady in Waiting - A love song about a woman who is faithful and waits for her lover to leave his wife and come to her, but she continues to wait. Pretty moving instruments are used here, and a single guitar solo moves like flowing water, with a great piano solo that will bring Rambo to tears.

6. Ready to Go - A quick and upbeat song featuring some fancy guitar play and a hard drum beat that will blow your ear drums if you aren't careful. Lots of sex innuendo here.
