Artist: Nichole Shade Title: Anymore Length: 3:40 Writer: Nichole Shade Producer: Nichole Shade, Reza Vranitzky From the Album: TBA queenhera: Nichole Shade’s “Anymore” is obviously about Erica, right? They had so many fights and said so many nasty things about each other on social media, even before the time when Nichole stopped using Twitter. “I cannot take back what I said / I cannot take back what you read” has to be referencing that. Plus, Nichole disappearing when she did: “I’m so sorry that I withdrew.” You could totally tell that Nichole still had feelings for Erica on Big Brother. That’s why they didn’t fight as much as everybody thought they would. This plus “Die Kicking” is just a testament to the fact that Nichole isn’t over Erica yet. kip_b: “Anymore” is definitely about Nichole’s ex-husband, Sam. There’s no way that Nichole just got over him as quickly as she’s pretending she did! They had three children together! “And all the time we’ve spent apart” is definitely talking about how long it’s been since they’ve been together, but Nichole is still hurt by it. It was such a tragic divorce, they really were a really good couple. chanellaurent: Everybody’s WRONG. “Anymore” is about Castor, Vile Hour’s drummer, just like “Die Kicking” was. Nobody KNOWS what happened between the two of them, except for Nichole and Castor. I’m positive that they ran off together, thought that they were going to live happily ever after, and then something happened, and now they hate each other. Nichole is writing “Anymore” to tell him that she feels badly about what happened between the two of them, and that she still wants to make music with him again. It’s not a romantic love that she’s expressing, it’s a platonic love. camistclair: Okay, here’s my theory about “Anymore,” and just bare with me for a second because it’s not going to make sense at first, but I’ve really thought about this: “Anymore” is about how much Nichole misses her kids. She hasn’t really mentioned them except for that one time on Big Brother when she revealed that her ex-husband has full custody of them now. “And every time I say your name / I know I am the one to blame” is referring to her losing her kids to Sam, taking blame for whatever it was she did to lose custody of them. The pre-chorus with the repeated, “I cannot”s is talking about that as well, probably referring to what her kids will discover about her when they’re older, like the time she said on Twitter that she hated being a mother, or her and Sam’s divorce. Nichole has never publicly said that she didn’t love her kids, but Nichole is also a fucking psycho sometimes, so it wouldn’t surprise me if at some point she said to one of them that she didn’t love them anymore. Even when she had custody of them, she was always putting her relationships or her career ahead of them – we hardly ever heard about all three of them. The line that really makes me think this is at least about more than one person is when she sings, “I think that we can all agree.” I don’t think “all” is referring to the collective voices of everybody, I think “all” is referring to all of her children, and how she withdrew and abandoned all of them. I’m not saying that Nichole should have her kids back, btw. She was a terrible mother even years ago. I’m just saying that she probably feels pretty remorseful about how she treated her kids before. Sitting in my empty room Staring up blankly at the moon I find myself thinking of you And every time I say your name I know I am the one to blame There’s so much we have to get through
I cannot take back what I said I cannot take back what you read, you read I cannot fight this sense of dread I cannot take back what I said
I’m so sorry that I withdrew I don’t mean it when I tell you That I don’t love you anymore That I don’t love you anymore I swear to you it wasn’t true I don’t mean it when I tell you That I don’t love you anymore That I don’t love you anymore Because I love you Because I just love you
And every feeling, every time I keep replaying in my mind And wondering if you think of me And all the time we’ve spent apart And all the times it’s hurt my heart I think that we can all agree
I cannot take back what I said I cannot take back what you read, you read I cannot fight this sense of dread I cannot take back what I said
I’m so sorry that I withdrew I don’t mean it when I tell you That I don’t love you anymore That I don’t love you anymore I swear to you it wasn’t true I don’t mean it when I tell you That I don’t love you anymore That I don’t love you anymore I’m so sorry that I withdrew I don’t mean it when I tell you That I don’t love you anymore That I don’t love you anymore I swear to you it wasn’t true I don’t mean it when I tell you That I don’t love you anymore That I don’t love you anymore Because I love you Because I just love youSounds like:
