Fabriano notices Lydia batting her eyes. He stares at her, he looks cold but you can get his dry humor as he looks at Kegan while talking to her. "Of course. Pepper means proteins and they are probably good for the skin." He says adjusting his hair in vanity and narrowing his eyes. "You eating a pepper too later?"

In the meantime Kegan announces "Guys after Selene only one contestant of Isla El Tigre needs to eat to win the challenge for this group. Only 10 minutes left."

Selene holds the pepper and stares at it for a few seconds. She glares and tries to mentally toughen herself. “I gave birth with no drugs. I can do this!” She says almost willing herself before placing the whole pepper in her mouth and chewing on it. Almost instantly the spice kicks in and kicks her tongues butt. She can feel tears forming and her face was turning red. All she had to do was not spit it out but could she swallow it? That was the question. She needed to decide because each chew felt like the last she’d ever have in this lifetime. Maybe she underestimated this tiny pepper. Maybe she could think the pain away. She kept chewing and had to close one eye as it was unbearable but she really wanted rice. A salad and nuts? She would die on this island and she couldn’t die. No she had to win and get press for Permanent Reminder.

With all the thoughts going in her mind she soon realized her tongue was numb and she had long swallowed the pepper. She just couldn’t tell and then she looked at the hosts and judges and held out her now red hot tongue then with a cocky look and tears streaming down her eyes she says, “I don’t spit.”

The audience applauds for Selene with Claire noding again proudly. "GREAT! NOW ONE LAST TO WIN COME ON ISLANOS!"

As Claire tries to encourage, in the Palapa Zafari screams for Selene "WAY TO GO GIIIIRL!!" He does a double thump up for her. Natasha and Rose also applauds, both thinking the turn for their group is about to come. David also applauds with a smile, Selene acted weird in the morning he thinks but she is a tough woman. What a power he thinks.

"Good job Selene, real good job. Now only one left guys for Isla El Tigre. 5 minutes left." Says Kegan.

Ciara says

"someone better eat that pepper. whatever it does to you will pale in comparison to what'll happen if you dont." erich says while wagging his finger like sonic the hedgehog. "is tiger island really going to come all this way to fail?! come on,guys. you are failing and you look bad."


"scared?!" lydia scoffs. "nope. i just want other people to pull their weight." she says while playing with the piercing in her lip.

"lets get that sad trombone sound all cued up." erich says,looking at where his watch would be " dont worry,tiger island. it happens to lots of islands." erich says apologetically. "you guys can just...cuddle"

Tyler looks at it, "Sure I can try it, I just have to eat it right, sure. I eat hot stuff all the time." Tyler says walking up to the where the hot pepper is."

erich looks quite distraught that the they came so close and lost. "you guys ever see full metal jacket? it isnt as great later on,but during the boot camp part? there is this scene where gomer screws up and the entire squad takes pillow cases with bars of soap in them..." he starts and then trails off. he would be quite miffed to have lost so close to the finish line. so he imagines most of the island are upset too.


"its ok, mi-ah." mariko claps loudly. she was still impressed mi-ah caught a fish with her bare hands. so the woman was allowed to not do everything amazingly.

lydia sits back and looks around to see who really wants rice. she wasnt going to volunteer unless it was really desperate.

"spitters are quitters,tyler." erich says with a dirty laugh. he could finally use a dirty joke. he nearly sighs with contentment after saying this.
