Music, and other shit Q11: Your character was so unique and an inspiration for the gay community. Breaking stereotypes that gay men carry on reality TV. Where you scared to express your sexuality on the show? A: I wasn't. To be honest it's not even on my fucking mind like that, but I noticed the craziness that came when me and Edward did our thing after the show. It was a harmless hook up, nothing more nothing else. If I'm in an inspiration then that means a lot to me, I hope people like me can express themselves more in the future from watching my show, I mean......the show. Oh and don't forget gays, my album comes out September 7 *wink wink*
Q12: Why haven't you released a full length music album in almost 3 years? A: Well, I let my fans know in my blog years ago that I would be taking a lot of time off to find myself (which I did), to find my confidence and to build my character. My first album is everything I'm not today, but not because of fame. If anything I've ran away from fame for quite a long time. I almost prefer to be in the background of things or behind the scenes. Sometimes I just feel like music takes time, I never want to release something that doesn't represent me in that moment. I tried to do a follow up to Anti-social but that would of been a disaster, it's not me anymore. But to really answer your question, I want to be that artist that released music albums every 4-5 years in between. I want to live life, I don't want to be a sensation, I just want to release music and let it be. It's not saying that I don't care for success, but I the same time I can also live without it.
Q13: Why did you break up with Radio Vine and do you still keep in contact? A: I don't usually go for these type of questions but I did say to ask me anything. We broke up because in my dear heart I didn't feel a connection anymore. Radio is someone I will always call a friend, but in terms of our relationship, things couldn't work out between us. We haven't talked in a while but we did threw jabs at each other on twitter a few weeks ago. It was cute. I'm sooooo naughty. Naughty Daniel.
Q14: What type of genre of music do you love to listen to the most? A: Everyone knows me as the "Experimental" guy. But I've been into a lot of the urban stuff lately, but of course I never like to listen to just one genre of music. Lately I've been into shit I can't even categorize, it's just stuff that bangs and maybe only I can pull of. I usually am a pretty open minded guy, that's why I can work with almost anything or anyone.
Q15: What's the title of the new album and do you have a release date set? A: The new album will be called "Bad Boy Culture". There's a theme to it, and it's different from anything I've done before. Not that I intend the album to be a classic, but I've put a lot of work into it, and I've been very hands on and passionate about every detail, from imagery to sound. The albums will be released September 7, 2014. That's not far away, so you know what's coming soon.
Q16: Are you and Stephanie Fierce related? A: No, but a lot of people say we are. We are kind of like brother and sisters, we tease each other a lot. I like to push her artistically, whenever we work together. But to be honest Stephanie Fierce is technically like the mainstream version of me, my other half and I'm like her other half. If I wanted to be a pop star I would be like her, just more like the younger Steph before she was a mom with all the attidude and diva rants. She's more mature now, despite her having her little moments here and there.
Q17: Are you going on tour anytime soon and did you know Brazil loves you?A: If I hear that Brazil loves me one more time, JUST ONE MORE TIME, I will cry myself to sleep. Just joking. But to answer your question yes I will be going on tour, most dates will be in Europe; apparently I'm Diamond in France with "Anti-social"; who knew, oh shit look at me slaying and shit, those french people know who "da best be", but yes I may go to Brazil. I don't know if I'm famous enough to even tour there. I may have to pop a titty or two while I'm there. We'll see.
Q18: You once wrong a song about "Suzie", will we ever get to hear that? A: That was a rumor I made to tease yall, I never really wrote a song about her specifically but there is a song out there.. I don't think you might, maybe on tour I'll perform some of it.
Q19: You managed and produced Green Leaf's very first album. What happened to the band and would they ever make a comeback? A: They are on hiatus. I don't think they plan to comeback anytime soon, but if they do I'm sure I'll talk about it on twitter or something. They are amazing people but they are dealing with a lot of personal issues at the moment that I can't speak of but of course their music will live on and shit. I hope.
Q20: If Celebrity Big Brother 4 did a reunion special, would you attend? A: I would, of course. Things might get messy though.
Q21: Are you about that thug life? A: I go hard in the paint.
Q22: Is "Sex Talk with Daniel" still happening? A: YES! It will, but I had to push it back because of Big Brother, I didn't intend on doing CBB, I signed up literally last minute. But yes, it's still happening.
