'Midas' was promoted this week through a radio tour joining Nick Grimshaw on his show on BBC Radio 1 or Jamie Theakston on HEART FM where Dj Rashai introduced his song to radio and spoke about it in the interviews describing it as complex, meaningful and interesting to create. He went on to praise the work done by Chicago Nobody, David of the Jollies and Kidd Amaze on the track which he revealed was recorded a week before David got on 'La Isla' reality. He also revealed some videos for this song, the new single that he teased and the last single '1001 Nights' might come in the future, but being a Dj he prefers to concentrate on producing the actual tracks, promote them in clubs and internet. He also spoke about his upcoming album as something that it's in the works with many different artists and that everyone is creating something big together, it will be interesting to to hear everything connect into one album he stated.

...As Vanity's 'Shock To The System' ends playing, Chris begins talking.Aaand we're live! Good morning. We are live on FG DJ RADIO and this Chris Connery speaking. It's 10 am and I'm still wondering where is my coffee. (Laughs are heard) Anyway. Here this morning we have a new entry in the showbiz, he's a dj and he's cooking hot tunes for us all, ladies and gents, here Dj Rashai.Dj Rashai: Hi. Good morning. So what can I call you? Dj Rashai, Rashai, or...?Dj Rashai: Whatever you want. That's fine. Cool. Rashai then. How's it going? Excited for your new release?Dj Rashai: I'm nervous, but then again it's finally out there. I'm passionate about my own stuff, so it's good for me to see how it goes. You definately created an interesting track, which is called 'Midas', a Trap Pop, Dance song featuring Chicago Nobody, Kidd Amaze and David of the Jollies. How was that to work with these artists?Dj Rashai: It was such an experience. I carefully plan every single detail on what I do, so on songs as well. They managed to exceed my expectations and so that was great. ...Right, otherwise I guess you would have thrown them out of your track or something?Dj Rashai: I could. (Chuckles)So tell me about the song. What inspired you on that? Because you surely have had an interesting background in your songs themes as well with your last single, I mean, '1001 Nights' which was played quite a lot in clubs this summer.Dj Rashai: Well, it's simple. I try not to too conventional. I like history and I observe a lot what's around me. Not everything I write is based on a personal experience, I like to look at others especially. But mostly, I like producing beats first, a melody, mix sounds and so cultures of genres. Then lyrics come next for me, they are the detail in my vision. Sounds deep... What inspired 'Midas' then?Dj Rashai: A friend of mine. I can't say here. But yeah, a friend of mine. He sold his body to get some recognition in a world he works for and in the end he found himself alone, without his past and people that cared for him. Of course, this song could then mean anything as whatever you prefer to interpret, but in my first point of view, someone like in the myth trying so hard to get to the top of things that he can only fall right after or isn't able to handle it. Wow, interesting. So... talking about your music, can we expect big surprises for your new songs? Other big artists making appearences?Dj Rashai: Depends on everyone's taste. I may or may not have worked with some legend name in some tracks but it depends what you define as legend. The songs are interesting enough though. There is a bit of folkore going on in them, there is rap, there is trance, hip hop, but mostly '1001 Nights' and 'Midas' are big ideals of what's to come. Any album planned soon then?Dj Rashai: Yes, there is something planned, things are being taken slow to enrich details but they are coming. You will find out soon. Ok. Fair enough I guess. We are taking a little break and you can listen to Dj Rashai's new song 'Midas' with Chicago Nobody, David Power of the Jollies and Kidd Amaze! After 'Midas' plays, the interview continues.Deep! Right? We are back! It's the Chris Connery Morning Show on FG. DJ Radio and we are live with Dj Rashai! So we have just spoken about your music. I just want to go a little deeper to get to know you Rashai, first of all can you tell us a bit about yourself?Dj Rashai: Well, there is a book to tell about myself. I can start maybe saying that I was born in Morocco, then adopted and raised in the UK when I was 5 and music was always a first passion. I liked studying the different tones of all instruments, the genres, the artists. But I did not start with music. I had to pay my music studies with modeling, working as gym instructor, as a bar assistant. I had done that all, but in the end here I am. And that's great! You are now married with Den Walnut...Dj Rashai: Yeah... You don't seem very happy about it or...?Dj Rashai: I am. Definately. We are living a dream. So no rumors of break-up or else...?Dj Rashai: People like to make up things. It's how the world goes on. Sounds like an answer. I'll take that as a no then. I am glad you guys are still together then and nothing of what's been said it's true, you guys seemed very close to each other.Dj Rashai: We are. I like to keep my things close to me. I'm protective. So no fighting?Dj Rashai: Depends. ...Alright, I guess I'll change the subject. We'll play a game now! I'll make you five questions and you have 4 seconds to give me a quick-fire answer without thinking much, ok?Dj Rashai: Sure. Last song you streamed?Dj Rashai: Amy-Jayne' 'Strange Love'. (Chuckles)Cool. First celebrity crush?Dj Rashai: Leonardo Di Caprio. Whoa... The last video you watched on Youtube?Dj Rashai: A trailer for an horror movie. I like horror movies. Ooh, which movie was it?Dj Rashai: 'Possessions' or something like that. Oh ok, sounds cool. Next question then. Last videogame played?Dj Rashai: Must be... Battlefield. Good one. Last one - Name one person that is inspiring you lately.Dj Rashai: Payton, he knows good stuff at my label La Familia. That's great! Thank you Dj Rashai for being here this morning. We'll leave you with his last banger '1001 Nights' featuring Zafari of the Jollies, Payton and Deneil.'1001 Nights' plays and the interview ends.
