Meet Tika Mays a First artist from Big Diamond Records Label.
Her Debut Album Strictly Business Is Out Truly is coming to 2021  Born on November 11 1998 Real Name:Tika Nicole Mays Live in Los Angeles,California Genres:Pop,R&B,Soul,Dance She is a Singer,Songwriter & Actress Year Active: 2017-present Label:Virgin Records (2017-19), Big Diamond Records/Universal Music (2019-22), Ruff Round Records/La Familia (2020-Present)  Tika Mays Born In LA, California, she has a mixed family her mom is White and Italy decent and her dad is African American and Jamaica Decent also she has sister name Natalie Mays from Trinity Love. Before she was Singer she was an Actress and she been in some School plays, and she auditioned for major commercial to get her huge break and she made it. However Virgin Records America discovered her by YouTube, she usually do some cover and original song.She started YouTube since she was in freshman and got 700,000 subscribers so Virgin Records Label gave her a contract which is a 900,000 Dollars contract and she signed the contract. She started to write some of her songs for her upcoming album which is called My Name is Tika, it a r&b pop thing the where she want it to go for. her first single Boyfriend released to radio before single could actually come out and it did had some moderated radio AirPlay and for video well video airplay did okay but it only do it for 2 week due to some lack of promotion but really she want boyfriend to be on her album instead of releasing as a single but her label want it to release because this song has potential but she want it to release it other song other than boyfriend however when the single release it didn’t do the justice to make it into the top 40 it only peaked at 69 in US and some overseas some did and some did not do it due to some lack of promotion. So they want her to record new songs for her album but this time they want her album title to be changed to Not Some Simple Girl and want her to go with pop but then she wasn’t happy with her album title, sound change & etc, after that she decided to leave Virgin record label due to some label issues and left her album being shelved. After she left the Virgin Record label she still doing music but this time being independent however thing changed when Big Diamond Records Finally Discover her cuz they were looking to find the first female artist to their new label and they gave her multi million dollars record contract deal but this time 360 deal which mean she control/own the music but she didn’t hesitate to sign it and that why she became a first artist to be signed to BDR Record Label so she began to work on her new album this time Pop/R&B but with new title of her debut album is Strictly Business & she release her first single Ready To Fly solo version & it peaked to Number 12 however her life changed when Payton hear Tika Mays song Ready to fly on radio & he want it to signed Tika to La Familia & she immediately signed the deal but was also interested doing Ready To Fly remix & they record & release it in June 4th & it peaked to number 8 before it jumped to number 4 on charts & she also sign endorsement deal with Samsung. Her debut album "Strictly Business" peaked to number 2 on charts & release another single & peaked to number 6 I Wanna Love You More featuring Paige Wesley & Slim Money & performed at FCA VII & won Best New Artist award & was a guest for After Dark with Cara Zyan. She release I Don't Need You & peaked to Number 5 in top 20 charts. She started to record her new album & reveal the album title on twitter called Truly & it's set to release on 2021 but she was featured in GTA V online & has been voice acting in the game as a boss in Heists also Ready To Fly Remix featuring Payton was featured in GTA V as well. My Baby was release in Friday & she signed the Pepsi Endorsement deal in Dec 2020 & she even has her new single used for Pepsi super bowl commercial as she is starting in Wild Cherry Pepsi commercial. she also release her next single "Callin Me" & peaked at number 2 making her the highest song to chart & she made appearance in FCA with The Jollies as special guest & she perform as secret performer as well & perform Love Potion as a sneak peak to promote & hyping up the crowds before her single could actually release & on May 7th "Love Potion" featuring her La Familia labelmate Payton & Miami as it peaked to number 4 then she release her song called "Anxiety" that charted into number 1 position as it went on to becoming her successful song then after that she release her final single "Anybody Girl featuring Chanel C. Fox" that peaked to number 6. Her album was supposed to be release in July but it had many delayed of pushing her album back by Big Diamond due to finalizing track but she finally had her album date set to release either in November or October 2021. Her sophomore album "Truly" went to number 1 in Jan 2022. Tika left the Big Diamond label in Mar 2022 due to too many pushback, more attention/focusing on Sophia Delaney, she signed to Ruff Round Records. Awards
