I've just read news that Aerosmith are considering replacing Steven Tyler. Who do you think would be best to replace Steven Tyler ? (This is just for fun, i don't want people saying no one can replace Tyler) |

... Stephen Tyler IS Aerosmith, they could replace anyone but him and it could probably work. If they want to replace him, they might as well just retire now because they'd be kissing goodbye to their careers. |

I think i would like to see Adam Lambert work with Aerosmith but not join full time. Also Steven Tyler solo project i think could be great, i liked his collaboration with Carlos Santana on Just Fell Better and he's performed on a track with Pink which i think is probably pretty poor. I think he could work well with Slash and maybe that could be an option after Slash's debut album.

Well turns out it's a complete publicity stunt. very dissapointed in them, i think they've just created this story to create interest in the band again and now doubt there'll be a new album in the near future.

I did wonder about this, I mean I did a quick google search and all I found was that Tyler had injured himself. Nothing about a replacement. Probably not the band looking for publicity, so much as a shift music "journalist". They love to make out of context pull-quotes. Like, if they said "So we were thinking maybe we should get someone to replace Steven Tyler for this tour" and that gets turned into: "we should get someone to replace Steven Tyler" And then the editor says "Put that on the front cover!" and bang, it's a story. Yeah i agree with what your saying but it seems like it was Joe Perry who seemed certain that Tyler had quit, i don't what to make from it. |
