Thats true but alot of parenting is common sense, which seems to have dissappeared in alot of people...also there is a mindset of 'lets blame the teachers/government/army/football team' for badly behaved kids and those ill equipped for life as an adult, instead of looking in the home.

At the end of the day, everyone looks back on each generation of kids with rose tinted glasses...each one is worse than the last apparently. Rebellious kids is a modern phenomenon so it would seem...

And don't forget, it's got good tips on discipline too! If your kid steps out of line, throw stones at them until they die.

If the teenagers of today were so "stupid (academically)", why on earth are college and university attendance rates at an all time high? Sure, there's a recession on so jobs are hard to come by, but the fact remains that to gain entry to a university or college institution, a students grades need to be of a certain level.
Also, labelling "teenagers" is targetting everybody from the age of 13 - 19. Yes, many 14, 15 year olds may act in a selfish or "flash" way, but its because they are making the transition from childhood into adulthood, are trying to work out the boundaries and discover who they are. Everybody goes through a patch where they're less than perfect. It's growing up. You certainly can't lump most 18 and 19 year olds in with these kids. Note, I said "many" 14/15 year olds, not ALL. Most go through this transition without being a complete nightmare.

I think the entire post was pointless, ridiculously inaccurate and small minded. I know a lot of people in their 20s and 30s which can be/are just as immature and self centred as these "teens" you talk about, just like I know a lot of 17 year olds who are so mature and intelligent that they hang about with groups of older people and don't seem out of place.

As the Bible tells us: "He who spareth the rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him correcteth him betimes" (Proverbs 13:24) and "Withhold not correction from a child: for if thou strike him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and deliver his soul from hell." (Proverbs 23:13-14)

There technically are many "manuals" for parenting, but it's made through experience and help from their own parents. But I suppose immaturity breeds immaturity.

I didn't mean it seriously, by the way.

But anyway, aside from Sharinganerrors lack of understanding of human beings, you do have a point that children are to greedy nowadays, but so is everyone. Adults are even more greedy, to be fair, and it IS all the parents' fault unless you really do get a little shit, but anyway the point remains the parents give the children the money, they give them the designer shirts, they give them the three holidays a year - its just like with fat kids.

If you don't give it to them, they wont use it. Unless they end up stealing from you, but if you raise them properly that wouldn't happen. And very rarely you do just get little shits in which case tough luck, some kids are just like that and they always will be like it.

Plus Raphaela why should we have something to fight for? Hell there are plenty of things to fight for - climate change, greedy bankers, stupid politicions, outrageous treatment of soldiers - the list goes on. The problem isn't that we don't have something to fight for it's that no one can be bothered.
