MadameCoke
Coke is once again live on Instagram. This time she is filming from the backyard of her Calabasas mansion. In moments like this, one remembers just how wealthy Coke and her lineage is. Her backyard is so colorful and extravagant that it reminds one of a fairy's garden. She matches the beauty of the nature surrounding her with a cute pastel green top and skirt. She is sitting at a small brown table with a pot of tea, a tea cup and a plate of French macaroons.
"You guys..." Coke says as fans join the live and share their excitement for her rare presence. "It's getting weirdddd... Me? On live? Twice in one year?"
Fans send in heart-eye emojis and compliment the singer-songwriter's looks and the mother nature aesthetic that she has going on.
"Awww, thank you loves." Coke says. "You know, a lot of people don't know this but I'm actually a green thumb. All of these plants you see out here, these are my babies. I raised them. I'm out of town a lot so of course, I have to make sure someone takes care of them but whenever I'm in town, I come out here every morning by myself and tend to my garden."
"This is a sacred space. This is where I go to hide in solitude away from the world. I had my first shroom trip back here, that's intimate! Like I literally grow my own shrooms and weed back here, don't tell nobody that though..."
Rum & Coke fans have a conspiracy that the duo uses music as a front for their drug empire and now in the comments they are cracking jokes, finally piecing together that Coke is the grower and Rum is the seller.
"See, this is why I stay off the internet. Always worried about something that has nothing to do with nothing!" Coke laughs and shakes her head. "This is not a drug farm, okay?" I got all types of shit back here: flowers, exotic plants, fruits, vegetables, herbs, bird houses....I come back here to live out my Tinkerbell fantasy, NOT to feel like El Chapo, girl. Please." Coke begins to read one of the comments out loud. "'Mhmm you wouldn't tell us if it was...' Exactly, domdidit94! I wouldn't."
Coke flips her hair and picks up her tea cup, sipping on what's left of it's contents as she scans the comments.
"Anyways, yeah. I was outside having tea in my garden and bonding with my plants and I decided.....I trust you guys. You've always been there to support me and you've never let me down. Why not let you into my inner world?" Fans send in heart emojis and variations of messages about how much they love Coke. "The love is mutual, trust. As my way of showing it, I'm gonna start talking to you guys more. It's gonna be kind of hard for me because I genuinely don't do this internet shit but like...I owe it to the Aire Force."
"So here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna open this question box and answer 3 questions." Coke holds up 3 fingers to show them physically. "Okay? The first 3 questions to pop up are the one's I'll be answering. Y'all ready?"
Once Coke activates the Instagram LIVE question box, fans scramble to enter their questions. Some get confused and enter their questions into the comment section instead. After a few seconds, Coke closes the question box.
"Hmm so first question is from MaddieThaBaddie. She asked, 'What can we expect from the new album and how is it different from the others?' Well, you can expect me to be a bad bitch, as always. The difference on this album is that I'm more unapologetic about it and more carefree than ever before. On previous records, I've definitely written from this place of guilt and shame. You know, just me always thinking I was... too much and doing everything wrong. I like to look at this era as my rich blonde girl era which is just where I really don't care what I think about it or what others think about it, I am ME! Flaws and all, for better or worse. Like, I don't care anymore and I think that might come off as a little controversial, especially with some of the topics that I touch on but so? I should be allowed to accept me for me."
"Next question is from pussycatjayda. 'What is it like being married to the love of your life?' Aww, it's a blessing. It feels like a fairytale but still, marriage is really hard. People never talk about it but in a healthy marriage where you two really care about each other's happiness...it's one of the most stressful things ever. You're literally promising someone forever through whatever and you have to be willing to really commit your life to another person. I love my stink stink but people need to know: if you want to stay married, you have to put in the WORK."
"Last question is from KeepUpWithCoke. They asked, 'Rum & Coke reunion?' Reunion??? That makes it sound like we stopped working together. LESS BE CLEAR! We never left! A lot of our work together just hasnt been on stage. Behind the scenes, we've been writing producing directing and working as hard as ever. Don't let em fool ya."
Coke deactivates the question box. She takes a deep breath of the fresh air around her.
"You know what? You guys have suprisingly been on your best behavior today! I'm so proud ofmy girls. I knew we knew how to act! I gotta get back to my tea and things but I just want to say...thank you. For tuning in...for supporting me...for everything. I really love you guys. New music coming soon, okay? Trust me."
