My album, "DNR", has a lot of songs so naturally, I want this rollout to have a lot of singles. I never planned to space out my singles this far but I do think it all worked out for better. I carefully chose "I Just Wanna Party" as the third single to get everyone ready for release. I didn't want to give too much away from the album but I still wanted a Pop track that represented the heart of the record best. I love "I Just Wanna Party" because it has this early 2000s bounce that's been missing from the clubs lately. It was important to me to release a song that would get people out of their seats and on their feets. I've had this hook recorded for years but I've only recently added Rum to the track. One day it all just clicked and I realized this beat was made for Rum & Coke. This honestly has to be one of the best verses she's ever spit on a track. I love how we constantly motivate each other and push each other to do better. I just knew the fans needed this, I had to give it to them before "DNR" dropped.
