"Magnolia" is the latest single by award winning alternative/indie pop singer 'Barbie Doll'. Being a surprise release by the singer, with no announcements or activities prior, the song was produced and written solely by Barbie Doll as well, and released independently. After the release of her EP in 2021, and her adventures into mainstream pop music, Barbie Doll returns to her roots with "Magnolia". Returning to where she came from, rumors circulate that the singer might finally release her debut full album since beginning her career in 2015.

Musically returning to her roots, the lyrics also give flashbacks to some of Barbie Doll's darker lyrics prior to 2021. 'Magnolia' is about a beautiful girl that had it all but got bullied and turned into a victim of abuse in school. The girl that used to be vanished, seeking revenge that turned her into the 'bad one'. The victim that becomes the villian, the killer.

Barbie Doll explains exclusively to Genius, "I have chosen the word 'Magnolia' to describe the girl because I find Magnolia's, for me personally, to be one of the most beautiful flowers. Making the reference about the Flower itself also happens throughout the song, if you pay attention."

"Magnolia" is a haunting track with a very unique vision, which I believe you have firmly set as your own through the years. The dark, moody feel fits the season well! Your voice is in the upper echelon of alternative/pop music.
