“Vampire In The Night” is the brand new single by American Singer-songwriter and actor Adam Black and marks the first release by the 34 year-old in almost a decade with his last musical release being all the way back in 2015. Since then the 34 year-old has kept a pretty quiet existence minus his appearance on celebrity big brother a few years ago. “Vampire On The Night” is set for release independently and see Adam taking on songwriting duties while production was handled by Ricky Maxwell and Steve Lipson, the track has total run-time of three minutes and eighteen seconds and see Adam step into a new direction in terms of sound as the track encompasses a slightly rocky vibe. It however it unclear weather this is a one time single or weather the star has been working on a full length project.
Musically the track has an overall pop sound which is perfect for radio but also incorporates element of rock music and the way the track is produced almost gives the track a sea chanty-esque beat which is definitely unique, lyrically the track discusses how a certain type of girl goes out on the prowl at night looking fr her next victim and uses the word vampire to emphasize that notion of being prey to her.
Critical reception to “Vampire In The Night” has been somewhat mixed to positive. Hayley John wrote in her review. “Okay this release came literally out of nowhere, honestly never thought I'd see the day I was reviewing an Adam Black track but I gotta admit I actually quite like it, the sea-chanty like beat on the production is very interesting but somehow it actually works, color me surprised”. James Newton wrote in his review. “Okay I get that Adam is the elder brother and is clearly far superior vocally to little brother Elyar but this guy probably wouldn't be famous without his brother or his endless bad press over the years, that being said this track just doesn't cut it for me…its been almost a decade and this was the best he could put forward in his apparent career revamp, if their are more singles he better provide something better than this, definitely disappointed”. Emily Blackmore wrote in her review. “Okay that sea-chanty beat is going to be stuck in my head for ages, that's the stand out of this track, lyrically it's not bad but that beat is everything and more, this is a solid comeback in my eyes.” Harry Kenard wrote in his review. “Is Adam trying to be a pirate, with the sea-chanty beat and the artwork having him half naked in a pirate type get up that is the picture it paints, however the track itself meh I have heard far better this year from new and established artist, vocally Adam surprisingly doesn't fail theirs no doubt that Adam vocally is a far better singer than his brother which is a shame because Elyar has had much more success in the industry than Adam has but this track sounds quite dated, maybe in 2008 this could of been a massive bop as it has that mid-00 vibe but who knows maybe it'll do surprisingly well”. Jessamyn Adams wrote in her review. “This has its good points and bad points, firstly production is top notch that pirate like beat is infectious as heck but as a whole the track fails to live up to the production, sorry but this just doesn't cut it when it comes to a comeback in my eyes, if their is more music coming I hope it blows me away, because minus the production this just didn't manage too.”
