Deathsquadalpha returns...

"The opening digital strains of the unusually titled ‘Sinner! God shall strike you dead!’ leaves no illusion as to the hellish ride your about endure. Your out of breath, a searing pain rips through your skull, your ear drums burst…you feel as if Chuck Norris has given your nuts a viscous Turkish half spin fly kick square on. When it all ends 36 minutes later…somehow you want more. The sounds of chainsaws, droning electronic mayhem, death seeking machinery, people suffering in damnation, a psychotic sample of the ‘Thomas the tank engine’ theme song of all things, a stack of obscure spoken word samples from movies. It’s all fucking with your head.

The first five songs smash you from pillar to post…a confrontational ‘your life for a few dollars’, a chilling and psychotic ‘god delusional’ (the reworked original from their demo) with its interspersed spoken word samples from a religious zealot, the buzzing, off the charts chainsaw guts fuck off that is ‘your suffering shall be forlorn’ and the slight respite from a twisted but entrancing ‘clarity in blackened skies’. There is another five songs still to go…but then it shifts and changes…

The final five songs are devilish remixes of an assortment of acts, from stoner to the blackest of black metal. This was something that was not expected after the fifteen minutes of electronic massacre and makes an interesting focal point on Norways own grim, misanthropic, God haters own interpretations of other artist’s music. There is the semi mythical M.A.D, the short lived but utterly legendary death/thrashers Pestilience, self proclaimed 'most dangerous band in the world' Aerospliff, the genre defying stoner gods Axotalic and finally the ever shifting gore/grind/death progressive metallers Infernal Tribute. If this album has a draw back it’s got to be its outrageously unrelenting savagery. Granted, that was what their debut '1st Extinciton Regiment' contained a boatload of but minus their trade mark black metal fury, it makes for something altogther maniacal. For something with bare bones guitar work and programmed drums, it’s brutally effective. It retains metals indomitable spirit but is far removed from it. Clearly Sexdiktator and his two cohorts in evil has a fucking big bone to pick and hates this world"
