The stage lights dim, and Jimmy Saunders strolls to the center of the late-night set, microphone in hand. His trademark casual charm lights up the room as he leans into the audience.

“Alright, folks,” he begins, a sly grin on his lips, “we’ve got something special for you tonight. All the way from London and Osaka, this duo has been tearing up the underground scene with their high-energy, anti-establishment sound. They’re here to debut their brand-new single, *Bullet Train*… and no, they didn’t bring the Punkpup Pokémon from their last music video.” He pauses as laughter ripples through the audience. “Maybe next time. But tonight, please welcome the UMA’s Band of the Year: Voodoo Dolls!”

The crowd erupts into cheers as the lights shift to reveal Haru and Jack stepping onto the stage. Haru, exuding effortless cool in a yellow summer dress paired with quirky cat ears in her hair, grips her Telecaster. She plucks a few delicate notes, their melody tinged with unmistakable Japanese influence. The room holds its breath as the sound transforms into a raw, gritty riff that pulses with unrestrained energy.

Jack follows suit, hammering out a relentless tempo on the drums. The momentum builds, and he leans into the mic with a sharp edge to his voice:

(Jack, singing)
Feeling like a bullet train
Racing straight ahead
I lost my brain
Got Nothing in my head

As far as I can go
I'm no hero
As far as I can go
I'm no saint,
Just a loser with a ticket
On a bullet train...

Haru steps forward, her voice smoky and defiant, adding a melodic counterbalance to Jack’s aggressive delivery:

(Haru, singing)
(Haru)
Feeling like a bullet train
Steel grinding bone,
Fire in my veins,
But I’m still alone.

I can't cry,
I don't try,
I'm just on a journey
With a runaway sky...

The riff drops into silence, then explodes back with both of them screaming into their microphones:

(Together, screaming)
I'm just on a journey
With a runaway sky!

The energy doesn’t let up as Jack takes the lead again, pounding out the rhythm with relentless precision:

(Jack, singing)
(Jack)
As far as I can go
I'm no savior,
As far as I can go
I'm no king,
A shadow with a ticket
On a speeding thing.

Haru counters, her voice raw yet hauntingly melodic:

(Haru, singing)
Feeling like a bullet train
Steel grinding bone,
Fire in my veins,
But I’m still alone.
Bullet train!
On a bullet train!
Bullet train!
Bullet train!

For the outro, their voices intertwine, creating a hypnotic, almost trance-like echo:

(Jack)
There's o destination, just one track,
Feels like I’m never coming back!
(Haru)
There's o destination, just one track,
Feels like I’m never coming back!
(Together)
There's o destination, just one track,
Feels like I’m never coming back!
---

Haru ends with the small japanese melody that opened the song. The final notes fade and the crowd erupts into thunderous applause as Jimmy Saunders strides back onto the stage, holding up a vinyl copy of Bullet Train.

“Give it up one more time for Voodoo Dolls! Haru, Jack...absolute legends. Don’t forget to grab the vinyl if you know what’s good for you! And with that, we’re wishing everyone a rockin’ New Year 2025!”

The camera pans out to the audience cheering wildly, their energy a perfect match for the fiery performance they just witnessed.
