I just have so much steam right now. So this one kid thinks my belief as to why our school installed cameras is ridiculous, but he doesn't even respond with his own opinion. He just tries to act cool but criticizing mine. So, about 2 years ago, our school had a catastrophe. A student was caught with a knife and drugs. However, only now they are installing cameras. I believe that the principle decided to install the cameras now for self-promotion to have some sort of gain in the future, most likely monetary, otherwise she wouldn't have done it. Also, I don't believe she did it for student Safety, cuz she would've done it first thing 2 years ago. Now, our school ain't too rich, but if they can afford 2-3 months of roof construction and new computers, I'm quiet sure they could've gotten cameras in before, after the crime occured. And this kid is criticizing me, yet the few things he wrote about to show my comments are wrong are very ridiculous. If somebody can prove me wrong, then maybe i'll be less steamed, but that kid is a dumbshit.

Could be any number of reasons why the cameras weren't installed. I doubt there is any principals who dont care for student safety. Your not exactly privy to the inner workings of the school beauracracy...dont take that as an attack though...its just there is a multitude of things going on at that sort of level. Can't really comment on the kid because you haven't provided anything about what he has said.

Basically, all he said is about how parents are all gonna suck the principal's dick for his work to protect the school, which I already said, but he says it's for a benefit, which is wut I said, but he always says, "no, no you not gettin' it." when he basically copies my words.

And yes. I believe our principal is a fat bastard for publicity. He got all diverse kids in our school together to hold each kids' flag to show that our school is racially united, so we could be in the front news. If he cared for our safety, he would've put up cameras when the crime happened.

I live and go to school in Los Angeles. We've had bomb threats, vandalism threats, school-getting-shot-up threats, and about two thousand cases of people getting caught with drugs in their bags/lockers/lunches/assholes.

BUT, our principal and the school board has had the brains to put in cameras when they first started happening. So at least we have that.
Too much leather chair is unsightly and greatly increases your risk of leather-smell.

yes, and we had a few scandals and this major one, and although it happened 2 years ago, the principal decided to get them up first thing last week, instead of when it really happened. So I simply laugh at my principal and school board for being retarded since they like publicity. But they completely covered up the story of the crime. The only reasons why people know is because they heard from someone who was there, since the kid didn't get passed his locker to start whatever he wanted to. Thus, that kid passed it on. But, the parents are believed to not think it happened cuz if a kid went home to tell his parents, the school would send them a letter informing that it was most likely a mis-understanding, so they look good. but installed the cameras much later on, as what the kid I argued called "symbolism".

It's a good thing I attended a private school when I lived in LA... the principle never found out about the stuff we did, unlike your principle. She never even bothered to fix things, but that didn't matter anyway.

Our school had railings put up between a bunch of columns, because a bunch of kids were picking guys up spreading their legs, and ramming their groins into the big concrete columns, eventually resulting in a guy in my class being hospitalised for months. The long-disused cricket "pavilion" (nobody played cricket when I was at school, so it was used as a storage shed for chairs mostly) was the area all the smokers hung out. Eventually when the skateboarding/nu-metal trend peaked and they banned skating in the courtyards, all the skaters would congregate there too to get stoned, resulting in a bizarre cross-pollination of the standard school social classes, passing round their joints. And then just after we left school, we had a well-respected teacher accused of engaging in a relationship with a young pupil, leading three other girls to come forward to a local newspaper with similar claims. So the teacher drove down to the Forth Road Bridge and jumped to his death.

And this was in Perth, recently voted Britain's "friendliest town".

My high school was lily white, and filled with geeks, and preppy kids. Only retarded geek first year kids fought, and that happened once every two years. Good times. The others were a bunch of fucking pussies. If you challenged them to a fight (alpha male.................... in puberty. Bad combination) they'd go on to say: "No, after school. I have class now." Brick wall Brick wall

Wow, that's like my school, only the few retarded enough to get arrested are pretty bad, but the rest are true pussies. Like one kid, I wanted to fight him. Well, he wanted to, but then he started to backdown, so i forced him into it. I was like, so let's fight now then. And he was like "no, let's do it tomorrow. I got class now, then I gotta look after my little brother, then I got homework." And I'm like "pussy". We never ended up fighting.

Shit, that's like something out of Waterloo Road.

Nothing like this kinda stuff happens at my school, there's the occasional fight or scruffle and we all know who the lads are who go and smoke pot down on the school field at lunch times but aside from that nowt. To be honest I think most people here are just trying to act hard but hey I wouldn't like to judge...
