”Wildest Dreams” is a song by American girl group CLEO, recorded as part of their upcoming debut E.P which is expected to be released over the next couple of months. Written in December 2025 by songwriter Abella Diaz and group members Tiana Monet, Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz, shortly after the girl group was put together via record label Royale Vices & Virtues INC. The track was produced by BLOOM with additional production management from label executive Imani Jasmine Woods. The track follows on from January’s debut single from the group “Forever, Stronger, Together” described as a pop and R&B ballad that served as the first official introduction to the newly formed girl group, the track was widely praised by critics and fellow musicians alike and peaked at number three on the Official Weekly Airplay Charts marking a very strong debut from the upcoming five-piece.
Their latest effort blends a pop and dance-pop influence, with a higher energy than their debut singles more melodic ballad-centric style and brings a club anthem vibe that incorporates elements of electronic club music and R&B. Running for a total length of 4 minutes and 37 seconds, the track was recorded at RVV Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California and set to be released through Royale Vices & Virtues INC as a Digital Download, Worldwide Streaming and made available for Weekly Airplay from February 1, 2026.
Background and Development“Wildest Dreams” was one of the first CLEO tracks written with an outside songwriter, penned by a combination of songwriter Abella Diaz and CLEO members Tiana Monet, Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz, it was conceived as a late-night escapism anthem, focussing on themes of desire, spontaneity and living fully in the moment. During songwriting sessions helmed by Abella Diaz, it became clear that Tiana, Olivia and Oriana wanted to try to craft a track that balanced sensuality with confidence, avoiding overt explicitness while still embracing the thrill and fantasy often associated with late night city vibe tracks. The group had already written a couple of tracks themselves, but wanted to ensure that they didn’t follow a specific formula and become just another ballad-heavy girl group. Drawing inspiration from contemporary dance-pop and club-oriented tracks, they set about creating something that emphasized atmosphere, rhythm and melody ahead of emotive lyrics and powerhouse vocals. Eventually crafting a track that feels designed for both radio and nightclub settings.
The production process took place in Los Angeles, where the track was shaped around computer generation wizardry from renowned Latin-pop producer BLOOM, giving the track an emphasis on a pulsating synth bass, electronic textures and hypnotic drum rhythm. BLOOM focused on creating a dreamy high-energy soundscape that would feel modern and perfect for a nightclub setting for the track at the request of the group. The track still allows each member of CLEO to showcase their own distinct vocal characteristics throughout. While the song’s structure was intentionally built around dynamic shifts throughout, most notably the delayed beat drop that feels inevitable during the back end of the pre-chorus but instead holds off into the songs chorus which heightens the sense of anticipation and maximises the dance floor impact when the beat drop eventually comes.
Vocally, “Wildest Dreams” finds a balance between showcasing each member of CLEO without it having an adverse effect on the track’s impact and serves to highlight the group’s versatility. Tiana Monet opens the track with a smooth R&B-influenced delivery, establishing the songs sultry tone from the outset, while the Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz combination on the songs pre-chorus feels like a playful trade-off and drives the momentum of the track into it’s chorus with the traditional pop stylings of Olivia meshing effortlessly with the Latin-influenced phrasing and delivery of Oriana. Leilani Monet takes a key position with the second verse, showcasing her ability to step away from the vocal powerhouse tone that comes naturally and adds a little subtle seductive touch that feels alluring, further adding to the tracks charm. And finally Chloe Rae Brooks closes things out with the third verse, delivering a softer, intimate, almost whispered vocal run that contrasts the track’s high-energy production but adds a further element of personality to the track, showing that although the tracks soundscape may be one that feels far from her own comfort zone she has the ability to blend and transition in a way that not only works for the song but actually benefits it, showcasing a cohesive group dynamic during the creation of these early tracks that affords moments of shine to each member.
Song Description; The track opens with a pulsating dance-pop vibe, immediately setting the tone for a sleek and sultry late-night anthem of escapism fantasy. A pulsating synth bass beats underneath electronic sounds and textures, giving the track a club-banger feel from the outset. The production feels broody and cinematic with additional laptop generated tones and textures fleshing out the soundscape of the song, creating a perfect high-energy backdrop for a confident, sensual electronica influenced dance-pop track.
Tiana takes the lead for the opening verse, her smooth RnB vocal delivery immediately setting the tone as she delivers a vocal that has just a hint of seduction throughout the opening verse,
“Late night, city lights, hearts racing through the dark/Just like a firecracker ready to explode, baby you know how to ignite that spark/Whispers in my ear, your dirty little words/Just the thing I love to hear/Don’t believe everything you’ve heard/Oooh, baby don’t you know/I’m so much worse.” which is delivered with a soulful tone that adds an intimacy to her words that balance flirtation with a sense of self-control with a slightly dangerous, tongue-in-cheek hint towards the end of her verse.
The pre-chorus arrives with a subtle life in the instrumental as the percussion feels a little tighter and more restrained while the bass seems to build underneath throughout as Olivia Monroe delivers the lead-in for the pre-chorus,
“Every glance, every touch, it’s electric/Let’s go rogue, take a chance/If you want it, come and get it.” delivered in her unmistakable pop-centric vocal, adding an energy to the track as it flows perfectly to the point where you can see this pre-chorus being a highlight of nightclub rotation, it feels almost tailor-made for a giant beat drop at this moment, but instead a sense of anticipation is added to the track as the Oriana Cruz vocal enters the fray,
“No regrets in the moment, the night is ours to own it/Boy, you won’t forget this.” as her Latin-pop vocal mixed with natural trap cadence lulls the listener into a false sense of security, with the expected beat drop not coming until Oriana delivers her line.
A brief moment of pause occurs before the hugely energetic beat drop does finally occur as the chorus arrives, its hugely rhythmic and pulsating energy takes control of the song with a combination of energetic synths, a pulsating bassline and soaring harmonies all work together in setting things up perfectly for the girls vocals to combine as one, matching the energy of the electronic club-inspired beat-drop,
“Let’s live out our wildest dreams/All our fantasies come true/Ain’t nobody watching us tonight, baby it’s just me and you/Feel the rush, hearts in sync, chasing ecstasy/Bodies writhed in silk sheets, this love is wild and free.” which is then accompanied by Oriana’s solo vocal once more, ad-libbed and with her natural cadence and timbre adds an additional sing-along moment to add to the catchy element of the chorus,
“Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh/Living our wildest dreams/Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh/Wild and free.”The second verse immediately follows and although is kept relatively brief doesn’t lose any momentum. The beat softens slightly and the energy is stripped back, led by Leilani Monet, she commands the attention of the listener just through sheer vocal ability as her vocals feel very focused and front and center of the song,
“Starlit skies, hands roam free, we’re breaking all the rules/Glass of wine, classy vibes, just me and you/They say moments fade but this flame’s here to stay /This ride or die is here to play/Tonight, all I want is you.” as her vocal delivery embodies the songs theme of subtle lust and the hinted at thrill of passionate and intimate moments. The power of her naturally alluring vocal tone draws listeners in, she’s not playing the powerhouse vocalist in this track but she’s still controlling the moment as she delivers a more soft and seductive verse that the track requires.
It’s followed once more by the songs pre-chorus and chorus combination, once more Olivia and Oriana lead-in and build the anticipation throughout the songs brief pre-chorus and it feels like a vocal chemistry truly exists between the pair as Olivia hands over to Oriana before the five girls ride the beat drop once more to deliver the songs anthemic club-banger moment once more.
The final verse of the song is controlled masterfully by Chloe Rae Brooks, it’s a track that certainly doesn’t naturally lend itself to her softer almost indie-charm tone of her voice, but her breezy tone feels incredibly alluring in this setting and glides perfectly over the rhythm of the track. Listened closely, there’s moments where it feels more like a seductive whisper which works perfectly against the positioning toward the end of the track and the lyrical content hinting at the aftermath rather than the actual event of passion,
“I’ll still be here when the sun comes up/Cause we both know one visit to paradise is never enough/Nights of passion is what we live for/Where we can do things we ain’t done before.” which feels like a perfect full-circle moment that began with late nights and city lights and ending with the hinted phrase of the morning after while retaining a lyrical subtlety and avoiding vivid and on-the-nose vulgarity that can so often creep into club anthems.
The final verse isn’t followed by a pre-chorus lead in, instead once final unexpected beat drop occurs as the final verse is immediately followed by the songs chorus, adding a final anthemic moment to make sure that the tracks catchy hook remains with the listener long after the song has finished.
