Adam chuckles at Rose saying about crocheting. “Hey ain’t nothing wrong with that I actually like it knit in my spare time, it’s kinda therapeutic.”
Elyar chuckles. “Difference is Adam you are an old man”.
Adam frowns. “Hey I am 35 I am not that old”. |

"Ok, I get that we're getting older, but... can we please go back to talking about sushi, video games, and young people stuff?" Zafari replies with a serious and sarcastic tone, though he's actually joking.
Rose nods, smiling.
Fabriano stares at him with a serious, expressionless face.
"We have to accept it. We're old. We can't do certain things anymore."
"What...? But Rose is only 25!"
"Maybe I should start paying more attention to silver foxes," David chimes in, and Zafari facepalms at him.

 The bar in SoHo was dimly lit, deliberate in its intimacy. Soft jazz curled through the air. People around quiet, speaking almost under their breath. Fabriano likes to pick posh, calm places for his meetings. He sat at the far end of the marble counter. He had arrived exactly seven minutes early. A crystal glass rested near his hand, untouched for now. He disliked rushing into anything — even a drink. His posture was relaxed, but never careless. One leg crossed over the other. Fingers lightly brushing the rim of the glass. His gaze remained forward, distant — observing reflections in the mirrored shelves rather than turning his head. He preferred to see without appearing to look. “I hope this is worth the trip.” He leaned back slightly in his chair, expression composed, almost detached — yet entirely present. Waiting. |

Sabrina Ariana arrived at the bar a few moments later, wearing a navy blue jumpsuit with a black and white pinstriped blazer and short black heels. The sound of her heels against the hard-wood floor made a noise as she made her way through the bar. Spotting Fabriano at the far end of the bar, she hurriedly made her way over towards him.
Offering her hand out she smiled as she greeted him, her accent a mix of Brooklyn with a little Spanish inflection in her phrasing. "Fabriano? ... I didn't keep you waiting too long, did I?" she says before taking off her blazer and placing it around the back of the chair beside him before sitting down, "I'm so sorry, it's literally impossible to get anywhere on time in this City." she says, taking a quick glance at her apple watch, "Three minutes late is actually pretty good for a meeting in New York." she says with a smile. "I'm Sabrina, it's nice to finally meet you in person!" |

Fabriano lifted his gaze when he heard footsteps approaching. He remained seated for a moment, observing her carefully, then rose calmly and politely to shake her hand. After all, he is the gentleman among the Jollies.
His handshake was firm, composed.
“No. Not at all. It’s acceptable. I’m used to much worse than 3 minutes,” he said in a low, controlled voice.
He released her hand only after a brief moment, studying her with his usual analytical look, then gestured toward the chair in front of him.
His gaze seemed dark, cold — though perhaps also a little introverted.
“New York doesn’t make things easy,” he added in a neutral tone.
“Fabriano,” he said simply, as if the name alone were enough of an introduction.
He sat down again with elegance, lacing his fingers together on the table.
“The pleasure is mine.” |

Sabrina shook Fabriano's hand and took a seat, it was clear that he was either naturally reserved or just generally didn't give too much away. Sabrina was a little more chatty and high-energy. "I've been trying to get your details for a while now." she says, briefly interrupted by the person behind the bar. She orders a class of wine before returning to her introductions to Fabriano.
She lets out a slight laugh, "Not the easiest guy to get hold of." she says with a giggle, "I don't know how long you're in the City or how often you're in New York, but I just wanted to get the chance to see whether you had an availability or interest in leading a fashion event that I'm working on." she gives a friendly smile as she takes a sip of her drink, "No pressure or anything ... but you're somebody I had in mind to front a campaign for me, if it's something you were open to." |

Fabriano studies Sabrina’s face with quiet, analytical precision, a faint half-smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Her energy is contagious — even a cold Adonis like him isn’t entirely immune to it.
But just as quickly, he returns to the composed seriousness he wears so effortlessly.
“A fashion event.”
He repeats the words slowly, as if tasting them before deciding whether they suit him.
“That would depend on the nature of the event… and the message it intends to convey.”
He doesn’t quite hide his interest, though. His fingers drift thoughtfully to his goatee, stroking it in quiet consideration — a subtle tell that, despite his restraint, the proposal has caught his attention. |

Sabrina wasn't fazed by piercing looks or awkward silences, she was well aware Fabriano was a handsome man but wasn't the type to crumble in front of such a person. As a fashion designer, she spent most of her career around beauty in all different variations.
She laughs a little as Fabriano queries the nature of the event, "The theme is vintage cool, think sort of prohibition era of the 20's in the US. Smart suits, elegant gowns, jazz bar vibes and old-school mafia looks." she says, pausing briefly before continuing her pitch, "The theme is old school class with a focus on modern sustainability when it comes to the products and outfits that we're creating."
She offers a couple of seconds to allow her pitch to sink in, before one final push to convince Fabriano who is notoriously difficult to read, "So far, everything we have done has leant heavily on sustainability. I think there's a way to marry fashion with an underlying message of good for the planet. Traditionally the fashion industry has been an incredibly wasteful industry and I think my company are doing things a little more differently that not only gives us our own individuality but has a positive effect on our planet and environment."

Fabriano listens attentively while sipping his coffee, occasionally casting glances at the pastries placed nearby as an aperitif.
He is so controlled, so careful about maintaining his form, yet his appetite sometimes betrays him—creating a subtle touch of comedy in his otherwise composed demeanor.
He focuses back on the girl, fixing his gaze straight into her eyes.
“Sounds actually… cool. I like that style.”
For a moment, he finally seems to smile—almost a miracle. But just as quickly the expression fades. He grows serious again, finishing the last sip of his coffee, almost as if trying to hide that brief smile.
“It seems… right. Yes. I’ll be honest: I don’t have much hope when it comes to the climate of our planet. I think that by now… we’re already past the point of no return.”
Perhaps a little too pessimistic. But he’s used to sounding that way. Then, maybe realizing it, he adds:
“…not that trying is wrong, of course. And if the work itself can be part of the solution, after all…” |
