Forever, Stronger, Together is a song by rising pop and R&B girl group CLEO, serving as their first official standalone release ahead of their as-yet-unannounced project. Following an in-house talent search programme from record label Royale Vices & Virtues INC in 2025, the five girls were whittled down initially from thousands of applicants down to a top fifty before eventually being scaled down to the final five girls that made the cut and officially formed the girl group CLEO under the banner of Royale Vices & Virtues INC. Arriving as the debut single it’s thought that the in-house expectation for the group is high with their first four singles mapped out as part of a debut E.P which will indicate their readiness to succeed in the music industry ahead of an expected debut album run that the label a lot of resources behind.
Arriving as the formative moment in the group’s career and serving as a true introduction to the group, the track positions CLEO as a unity-driven act built on connection, resilience and shared ambition. While details surrounding their future body of work remain under wraps, the release signals the first impression of their artistic direction, vocal harmony and message of empowerment. Early critical reaction has praised the single while noting that the track feels like an intentional introduction to CLEO’s ethos and overall message, presenting them not as individual stars, but as a collective force defined by trust, growth and mutual support.

Written in December 2025 by singers Chloe Rae Brooks, Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz alongside a batch of songs that will form the nucleus of their debut E.P, the girls wrote and recorded the tracks within weeks of them being officially confirmed as the final five selected to form the group. Lyrically the track leans into the groups strengths as vocalists, blending pop balladry with subtle R&B and soul influences. The songs lyrical focus centres on perseverance through adversity, shared dreams and the strength in standing side by side, themes that mirror the groups own journey, making it a clear first choice as the lead single from the group in order to help establish their identity from the offset of their career. Rather than spotlighting a single lead voice, the track is carefully structured to allow each member a moment to shine, which reinforces the idea that the songs message as well as the message of the group as a whole is a communal one rather than an individual one. This approach has been praised by listeners as a refreshing statement of unity in a genre often drive by solo narratives and pitting rivalries and individual ambition ahead of the collective aims.

Recorded at the newly constructed state of the art RVV Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California which will now serve as an official in-house recording studio for the label Royale Vices & Virtues INC, the track was produced by UK based artist and producer Deneil alongside label head Imani Jasmine Woods, the track features a polished yet emotive production style, anchored by piano-led instrumentation and a rhythmic dynamic that help give the song it’s anthemic weight. Released through Royale Vices & Virtues INC and made available as a digital download, for weekly airplay and across all major streaming platforms, “Forever, Stronger, Together” sets a confident foundation for CLEO’s future, giving anticipation for their career path ahead. The track will be officially available from January 4, 2026.

Song Description;

The track begins with a warm, atmospheric instrumental, the sound of a piano sequence can be heard underneath some ambient studio textures, gentle synth and soft percussion, creating a tender but cinematic backdrop to the track. Chloe Rae Brooks takes the lead for the opening verse, her soft angelic vocals adding to the tender ballad nature of the instrumental, “We were forged in combat, through tribulations and trials/Facing our fears together/Through all the rejections and denials/It's been a journey, girls/We cannot deny/There’s nobody else we’d rather have stood by our sides.” which immediately highlights a girl power, in this together vibe for the songs lyrical direction. Tiana Monet’s voice immediately follows Chloe’s as Tiana gets an opportunity to finish the opening verse, her smooth RnB vocal tone balancing her lyric’s strong soul and gospel vibe, “We’ll raise each other up/In this together/This will bond us forever.” and ends the opening verse on a strong empowerment message, feeling like a collective statement rather than an individual one.

As the second verse arrives, the instrumental remains measured as the songs lyrical message takes priority. The light piano chords and steady rhythmic percussion pulse underneath the song, the keys of the piano rising slightly as the song progresses. Olivia Monroe takes the bulk of the second verse, giving a strong female pop vocal delivery “We’ve already come this far girls, you can lean on me/Foundations built together wishing on stars/We’re all fighting for the same dream/We’re a force to be reckoned with when we’re stood side by side.” is once again quickly followed on by Tiana’s vocal once more adding a soul and gospel tinge in both vocal delivery and lyrical content to finish the second verse, “We’re a sisterhood, bonded through this/Every step of the journey/Every part of the ride.” as the music builds towards the ending of the second verse, you can feel a sense of urgency as the piano keys begin to swell and swoon over the track.

The songs pre-chorus arrives as Oriana Cruz takes vocal duty with the bmp from the percussion and rhythm section of the instrumental increases, allowing Oriana to deliver her pre-chorus with an energy and flow of her own, “When the world tries to bring us down/Watch a Queen adjust her crown/Check ourselves in the mirror, see how we shine/Know that we’ve got this/This is our time.” which adds an extra dimension to the songs lyrics and theme as the element of self-confidence and belief in each other comes through, it’s delivered with an attitude and self-assurance and perfectly balances the opening verses content and message of empowerment and strength in numbers.
The piano comes in more prominently as the songs chorus arrives and all five girls share vocal harmonies for the first time on the track, reinforcing the songs overall message, “Forever stronger together, unstoppable desire/When we’re supporting each other, we’ll climb even higher/Forever stronger together, side by side/Every step of the journey/Every part of the ride.” which really drives home the message and creates an anthemic moment within the song, giving it a primary selling point as a single but also delivering a chorus that is tailor made for the thirty second attention span, tik-tok aspect of engagement also.

The final verse of the track is fully dedicated to Leilani Monet, following on from the chorus it retains that same big anthemic hook of the chorus, driven by the songs emotive front and center piano sequence, it allows Leilani the opportunity to shine vocally, delivering a strong ballad heavy verse with the space for vocal runs that truly show off her ability as a powerhouse vocalist, “You can lean on me when this journey gets tough/We’ve come too far to just give up/Nothing worth having ever comes easy/Gotta hustle and grind/I know we’ll achieve our dream/I’mma fight for my girls/I know my girls are gonna fight for me/Together we believe.” which allows the song to truly drive home its overall message, giving a feeling of bonds, sisterhood as well as general empowerment. The final verse serves to leave a lasting impression before the songs rhythmic pre-chorus and powerfully catchy chorus can be heard once more before the song fades out to it’s natural conclusion.

Facing our fears together
Through all the rejections and denials

We’ll raise each other up
In this together
This will bond us forever

We’ve already come this far girls, you can lean on me
Foundations built together wishing on stars
We’re all fighting for the same dream
We’re a force to be reckoned with when we’re stood side by side

We’re a sisterhood, bonded through this

Forever stronger together, side by side
Every step of the journey

You can lean on me when this journey gets tough
We’ve come too far to just give up
Nothing worth having ever comes easy
Gotta hustle and grind
I know we’ll achieve our dream
I’mma fight for my girls
I know my girls are gonna fight for me
Together we believe

When the world tries to bring us down

Check ourselves in the mirror, see how we shine

Every step of the journey
Every part of the ride”

”Wildest Dreams” is a song by American girl group CLEO, recorded as part of their upcoming debut E.P which is expected to be released over the next couple of months. Written in December 2025 by songwriter Abella Diaz and group members Tiana Monet, Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz, shortly after the girl group was put together via record label Royale Vices & Virtues INC. The track was produced by BLOOM with additional production management from label executive Imani Jasmine Woods. The track follows on from January’s debut single from the group “Forever, Stronger, Together” described as a pop and R&B ballad that served as the first official introduction to the newly formed girl group, the track was widely praised by critics and fellow musicians alike and peaked at number three on the Official Weekly Airplay Charts marking a very strong debut from the upcoming five-piece.

Their latest effort blends a pop and dance-pop influence, with a higher energy than their debut singles more melodic ballad-centric style and brings a club anthem vibe that incorporates elements of electronic club music and R&B. Running for a total length of 4 minutes and 37 seconds, the track was recorded at RVV Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California and set to be released through Royale Vices & Virtues INC as a Digital Download, Worldwide Streaming and made available for Weekly Airplay from February 1, 2026.

Background and Development

“Wildest Dreams” was one of the first CLEO tracks written with an outside songwriter, penned by a combination of songwriter Abella Diaz and CLEO members Tiana Monet, Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz, it was conceived as a late-night escapism anthem, focussing on themes of desire, spontaneity and living fully in the moment. During songwriting sessions helmed by Abella Diaz, it became clear that Tiana, Olivia and Oriana wanted to try to craft a track that balanced sensuality with confidence, avoiding overt explicitness while still embracing the thrill and fantasy often associated with late night city vibe tracks. The group had already written a couple of tracks themselves, but wanted to ensure that they didn’t follow a specific formula and become just another ballad-heavy girl group. Drawing inspiration from contemporary dance-pop and club-oriented tracks, they set about creating something that emphasized atmosphere, rhythm and melody ahead of emotive lyrics and powerhouse vocals. Eventually crafting a track that feels designed for both radio and nightclub settings.

The production process took place in Los Angeles, where the track was shaped around computer generation wizardry from renowned Latin-pop producer BLOOM, giving the track an emphasis on a pulsating synth bass, electronic textures and hypnotic drum rhythm. BLOOM focused on creating a dreamy high-energy soundscape that would feel modern and perfect for a nightclub setting for the track at the request of the group. The track still allows each member of CLEO to showcase their own distinct vocal characteristics throughout. While the song’s structure was intentionally built around dynamic shifts throughout, most notably the delayed beat drop that feels inevitable during the back end of the pre-chorus but instead holds off into the songs chorus which heightens the sense of anticipation and maximises the dance floor impact when the beat drop eventually comes.

Vocally, “Wildest Dreams” finds a balance between showcasing each member of CLEO without it having an adverse effect on the track’s impact and serves to highlight the group’s versatility. Tiana Monet opens the track with a smooth R&B-influenced delivery, establishing the songs sultry tone from the outset, while the Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz combination on the songs pre-chorus feels like a playful trade-off and drives the momentum of the track into it’s chorus with the traditional pop stylings of Olivia meshing effortlessly with the Latin-influenced phrasing and delivery of Oriana. Leilani Monet takes a key position with the second verse, showcasing her ability to step away from the vocal powerhouse tone that comes naturally and adds a little subtle seductive touch that feels alluring, further adding to the tracks charm. And finally Chloe Rae Brooks closes things out with the third verse, delivering a softer, intimate, almost whispered vocal run that contrasts the track’s high-energy production but adds a further element of personality to the track, showing that although the tracks soundscape may be one that feels far from her own comfort zone she has the ability to blend and transition in a way that not only works for the song but actually benefits it, showcasing a cohesive group dynamic during the creation of these early tracks that affords moments of shine to each member.

Song Description;

The track opens with a pulsating dance-pop vibe, immediately setting the tone for a sleek and sultry late-night anthem of escapism fantasy. A pulsating synth bass beats underneath electronic sounds and textures, giving the track a club-banger feel from the outset. The production feels broody and cinematic with additional laptop generated tones and textures fleshing out the soundscape of the song, creating a perfect high-energy backdrop for a confident, sensual electronica influenced dance-pop track.
Tiana takes the lead for the opening verse, her smooth RnB vocal delivery immediately setting the tone as she delivers a vocal that has just a hint of seduction throughout the opening verse, “Late night, city lights, hearts racing through the dark/Just like a firecracker ready to explode, baby you know how to ignite that spark/Whispers in my ear, your dirty little words/Just the thing I love to hear/Don’t believe everything you’ve heard/Oooh, baby don’t you know/I’m so much worse.” which is delivered with a soulful tone that adds an intimacy to her words that balance flirtation with a sense of self-control with a slightly dangerous, tongue-in-cheek hint towards the end of her verse.

The pre-chorus arrives with a subtle life in the instrumental as the percussion feels a little tighter and more restrained while the bass seems to build underneath throughout as Olivia Monroe delivers the lead-in for the pre-chorus, “Every glance, every touch, it’s electric/Let’s go rogue, take a chance/If you want it, come and get it.” delivered in her unmistakable pop-centric vocal, adding an energy to the track as it flows perfectly to the point where you can see this pre-chorus being a highlight of nightclub rotation, it feels almost tailor-made for a giant beat drop at this moment, but instead a sense of anticipation is added to the track as the Oriana Cruz vocal enters the fray, “No regrets in the moment, the night is ours to own it/Boy, you won’t forget this.” as her Latin-pop vocal mixed with natural trap cadence lulls the listener into a false sense of security, with the expected beat drop not coming until Oriana delivers her line.
A brief moment of pause occurs before the hugely energetic beat drop does finally occur as the chorus arrives, its hugely rhythmic and pulsating energy takes control of the song with a combination of energetic synths, a pulsating bassline and soaring harmonies all work together in setting things up perfectly for the girls vocals to combine as one, matching the energy of the electronic club-inspired beat-drop, “Let’s live out our wildest dreams/All our fantasies come true/Ain’t nobody watching us tonight, baby it’s just me and you/Feel the rush, hearts in sync, chasing ecstasy/Bodies writhed in silk sheets, this love is wild and free.” which is then accompanied by Oriana’s solo vocal once more, ad-libbed and with her natural cadence and timbre adds an additional sing-along moment to add to the catchy element of the chorus, “Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh/Living our wildest dreams/Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh/Wild and free.”

The second verse immediately follows and although is kept relatively brief doesn’t lose any momentum. The beat softens slightly and the energy is stripped back, led by Leilani Monet, she commands the attention of the listener just through sheer vocal ability as her vocals feel very focused and front and center of the song, “Starlit skies, hands roam free, we’re breaking all the rules/Glass of wine, classy vibes, just me and you/They say moments fade but this flame’s here to stay /This ride or die is here to play/Tonight, all I want is you.” as her vocal delivery embodies the songs theme of subtle lust and the hinted at thrill of passionate and intimate moments. The power of her naturally alluring vocal tone draws listeners in, she’s not playing the powerhouse vocalist in this track but she’s still controlling the moment as she delivers a more soft and seductive verse that the track requires.
It’s followed once more by the songs pre-chorus and chorus combination, once more Olivia and Oriana lead-in and build the anticipation throughout the songs brief pre-chorus and it feels like a vocal chemistry truly exists between the pair as Olivia hands over to Oriana before the five girls ride the beat drop once more to deliver the songs anthemic club-banger moment once more.

The final verse of the song is controlled masterfully by Chloe Rae Brooks, it’s a track that certainly doesn’t naturally lend itself to her softer almost indie-charm tone of her voice, but her breezy tone feels incredibly alluring in this setting and glides perfectly over the rhythm of the track. Listened closely, there’s moments where it feels more like a seductive whisper which works perfectly against the positioning toward the end of the track and the lyrical content hinting at the aftermath rather than the actual event of passion, “I’ll still be here when the sun comes up/Cause we both know one visit to paradise is never enough/Nights of passion is what we live for/Where we can do things we ain’t done before.” which feels like a perfect full-circle moment that began with late nights and city lights and ending with the hinted phrase of the morning after while retaining a lyrical subtlety and avoiding vivid and on-the-nose vulgarity that can so often creep into club anthems.
The final verse isn’t followed by a pre-chorus lead in, instead once final unexpected beat drop occurs as the final verse is immediately followed by the songs chorus, adding a final anthemic moment to make sure that the tracks catchy hook remains with the listener long after the song has finished.

Track: #03
Title: “The Hurt”
Artist: CLEO
From: Introducing CLEO [E.P]
Release Date: March 14, 2026
Length: 5:02
Format: Digital Download, Weekly Airplay, Worldwide Streaming
Recorded: RVV Recording Studios, Los Angeles, California, USA
Genre(s): Pop, Ballad, Adult Contemporary
Label: Royale Vices & Virtues INC
Written: January 2026
Writer(s): Chloe Rae Brooks, Tiana Monet, Oriana Cruz
Producer(s): Deneil

“The Hurt” is a single by American girl group ‘CLEO’ as part of their debut E.P “Introducing CLEO”, following on from previous singles “Forever, Stronger, Together” and “Wildest Dreams” as they continue to establish themselves within the music industry since being formed by label ‘Royale Vices & Virtues INC’ in late 2025. The group looks set to continue their emergence as one of the most promising new acts in the music industry with their debut E.P expected in late April with one final single from the project set to drop ahead of its release. It’s also expected that their debut album will be released in late 2026, with their debut E.P expected to serve as an intro to their eventual debut full length effort.

The track was written in January 2026 by group members Chloe Rae Brooks, Tiana Monet and Oriana Cruz with the track produced by Deneil once more as the UK based artist and producer took the helm on their debut single “Forever, Stronger, Together”. Aiming to follow the positive response to the groups early singles and continue building the foundation of CLEO’s position as an emerging group within the music industry, the track set to be released through Royale Vices & Virtues INC and made available as a digital download as well as being made available to weekly airplay and worldwide streaming across all major streaming platforms from March 14, 2026.

Background and Development;

Arriving as a more emotionally direct track in comparison to their first two singles, “The Hurt” see’s the group lean more into pop ballad territory and an adult contemporary sound and style that highlights the groups vocal dynamics between each other as well as their own individual range, matched with a strong storytelling songwriting ability showcased on this latest track. It’s a track that focuses on a reflective and introspective tone, exploring themes of resilience, self-belief and personal growth in the face of criticism, doubt and internal pressure. While their debut release, “Forever, Stronger, Together” introduced the group with a message of unity and ambition and it’s follow-up “Wildest Dreams” showcasing ideas of youthful desire and late-night escapism, “The Hurt” showcases a more introspective and sombre reflective tone while also championing self-belief and inner-strength in the face of adversity.

The song was written during the late stages of the recording sessions for the “Introducing CLEO” E.P in January 2026, even after the group had locked in three tracks for the release and had already dropped the lead single from the project. Primarily written by Chloe Rae Brooks with additional songwriting credits going to Tiana Monet and Oriana Cruz, the track showcases a more mature side to their songwriting and an ability to showcase depth within their craft. It also shows an ownership in their work, having written the previous track alongside songwriter for hire Abella Diaz, this latest effort shows that they’re not only willing to work with outside talent but also have a very clear vision of their own careers as performers and songwriters themselves. Lyrically, the track centres on overcoming negative voices, learning to reclaim personal power and recognising the value of perseverance, with the chorus framing emotional scars as chapters in a bigger life story. Messages that are likely to resonate powerfully with their young fanbase.

Musically, the production blends piano-driven instrumentation with contemporary pop arrangements, giving the song a powerful pop ballad feel. It gradually builds from restrained verses into a more anthemic chorus that allows each member the opportunity to showcase their own individual vocal tone. While the structure emphasizes different elements within the same general feelings, each member takes their solo moments and adds their own tone and purpose to it which enhances the experience overall. Those individual moments help make the collective harmony during the songs chorus feel more prominent and powerful when it does arrive which reinforces CLEO’s identity as a collaborative group rather than a hierarchy of lead performers.
Critics and early listeners of the track have noted the song’s balance between vulnerability and empowerment, particularly it’s central refrain of being “higher than the hurt.”, which encapsulates the message of rising above hardship and self-doubt. One critic noted that even during this early period of their career as a group, “it feels like this combination of girls already have an identity and already understand the importance and impact that their messages can have on the primarily young female audience that they are slowly building a fanbase around.”

Recorded at the label’s new state-of-the-art recording facility ‘RVV Recording Studios’ in Los Angeles, California, “The Hurt” continues the sonic partnership between CLEO and producer Deneil with whom they worked with on their debut single and is reportedly lined up as a primary producer on the debut E.P as well as their debut album which is already in it’s infant stages. His polish and emotive production style is showcased once again on this track, briefly switching out for Latin producer BLOOM on their second effort, the dance-influenced “Wildest Dreams” before returning to the production desk for their third effort “The Hurt”. Within the context of their debut E.P “Introducing CLEO”, it’s expected that “The Hurt” will serve as the penultimate track prior to the release of their extended play with one final single expected to drop around the time of the debut E.P. as the group continue to further establish their own sound and style and build a fanbase that appears only likely to grow as the year progresses.

Song Description;

The track begins with a soft piano-led instrumental which immediately establishes the reflective tone of the song. Soft ambient tones and restrained drum pads sit quietly behind the piano melody which allows the emotion of the lyrics to sit front and centre for this track. The percussion is minimal during the opening moments, but just enough to feel like a faint heartbeat-like rhythm that works underneath the instrumentation as Chloe Rae Brooks opens the track with a vulnerable and softly delivered vocal, her voice with a fragility and tone that matches the lyrical content perfectly, “I’ve been navigating the cracks in my foundations/Like they’re the constant proof of how fragile things are in this life/Every whisper feels so much like a verdict/All my internal doubts keep telling me that they’re right/I’ve tried bending just to belong/Tried dimming my own light just to fit/But I was never made for breaking/I was born for more than this.” with her performance immediately highlighting the emotional direction of the song, focussing on internal struggles and self-doubt while also adding a powerful message about not moulding your true self in order to fit in with the crowd.

The first pre-chorus arrives and Tiana Monet steps into the fold vocally, adding a sense of vocal composure while giving the song it’s lift in inflection, the drum rhythm becoming slightly more pronounced as the pre-chorus progresses. “Pulse beating, hands shaking, heart wide open/Standing in the aftermath/If I fall, I fall forward/I won’t ever take one step back.” which showcases the musical theatre training in her vocal delivery as she delivers it with a note for note perfection, helping build a sense of anticipation ahead of the songs chorus as the piano chords expand and the string textures rise which helps guide the pre-chorus into the songs chorus for it’s first major moment.
As the chorus arrives, the full emotional weight of the production comes into play. The piano becomes more dramatic and layered, joined by a fuller percussion and swelling arrangement that gives the chorus its powerful pop-ballad energy as all five girls sing in harmony the tracks message of inner-strength, “I’m higher than the hurt/So much stronger than the words they threw/Every scar is just a paragraph/Of the bigger story that I’m living through/I won’t disappear in the chapters/I won’t fade from the page/You can watch me rise with main character energy/I’m so much higher than the hurt.” as the collective harmonies truly fill out the chorus as it progresses, adding to the emotional strength of the message.

The second verse see’s the instrumental slow slightly once again, allowing the focus to return to the storytelling elements of the lyrics as Olivia Monroe takes the opening section of the second verse, her delivery carrying a more traditional pop vocal element with her higher more feminine register, “I’ve carried my silence everywhere with me, fixated like a shadow/I’ve let the doubt speak way too loud/Drowning in expectations I only placed on myself/Trying to make everybody else feel proud.” which builds to the lead vocal being taken over by Leilani Monet as she sings powerfully over the tones of the piano, “I found my voice in the pain/Realising I don’t need no permission/I’ve got a passion for days/And I will carry the weight of my name.” as her vocal delivery carries a sense of personal conviction, generally considered the powerhouse vocalist of the group, it’s a strong moment in the track that helps shift the narrative from doubt toward empowerment.
The songs pre-chorus is taken by Tiana Monet once more, this time with alternate lyrics, delivered once again note for note perfect with the composure of a seasoned theatre veteran, “I was bleeding, always believing/That this crown was cursed and made of thorns/Every tear became my own reason/To trust in the rise and never fear the fall.” which leads and builds perfectly into the songs chorus, which see’s all five girls harmonise together once again.

The final verse of the song takes a noticeable change in style as the rhythm increases slightly to allow for Oriana to deliver a free flowing rhythmically charged vocal performance, bringing a confident and fiery energy to the track. The percussion and rhythmic textures increases to faster bpm as Oriana delivers her vocals, “Yeah, I come from pressure, diamonds from nothing/This heart is on fuego, ain’t no stopping/My default mode is survival, ya’ll already know I’m the fittest/Every scar’s just a scratch/I’ve always been at the top of their hitlist/This bitch don’t ever bend/Ice cold in my veins/But now I’ve got an entire army
Backing my name/Ain’t no permiso needed/If we want it/We take/Don’t ever doubt/I’m so much higher than the hurt.”
which changes the tone to a fully confident and self-assured mindset, it’s got the hint of a rap flow while still sticking to the general pop-sphere that CLEO are so clearly already embedded within, showing the potential for an expansion and addition of other styles and variations within their work.
Tiana’s pre-chorus returns once more, a replicated version of her first pre-chorus which once more leads into the songs emphatic and powerful chorus, which once again see’s the five girls come together and harmonise beautifully and anthemically to close out the track. Leaving a lasting impression of resilience, growth and self-belief that showcases the girls depth beyond just another pop group and showcases that they are aware of their own potential influence on a growing young fanbase, delivering a message that could have waves of positivity to those that take heed in its overall message.

“I’ve been navigating the cracks in my foundations
Like they’re the constant proof of how fragile things are in this life
Every whisper feels so much like a verdict
All my internal doubts keep telling me that they’re right
I’ve tried bending just to belong
Tried dimming my own light just to fit
But I was never made for breaking
I was born for more than this

Pulse beating, hands shaking, heart wide open
Standing in the aftermath
If I fall, I fall forward
I won’t ever take one step back

I’m higher than the hurt
So much stronger than the words they threw
Every scar is just a paragraph
Of the bigger story that I’m living through
I won’t disappear in the chapters
I won’t fade from the page
You can watch me rise with main character energy
I’m so much higher than the hurt

I’ve carried my silence everywhere with me, fixated like a shadow
I’ve let the doubt speak way too loud
Drowning in expectations I only placed on myself
Trying to make everybody else feel proud

I found my voice in the pain
Realising I don’t need no permission
I’ve got a passion for days
And I will carry the weight of my name

I was bleeding, always believing
That this crown was cursed and made of thorns
Every tear became my own reason
To trust in the rise and never fear the fall

I’m higher than the hurt
So much stronger than the words they threw
Every scar is just a paragraph
Of the bigger story that I’m living through
I won’t disappear in the chapters
I won’t fade from the page
You can watch me rise with main character energy
I’m so much higher than the hurt

Yeah, I come from pressure, diamonds from nothing
This heart is on fuego, ain’t no stopping
My default mode is survival, ya’ll already know I’m the fittest
Every scar’s just a scratch
I’ve always been at the top of their hitlist
This bitch don’t ever bend
Ice cold in my veins
But now I’ve got an entire army
Backing my name
Ain’t no permiso needed
If we want it
We take
Don’t ever doubt
I’m so much higher than the hurt

Pulse beating, hands shaking, heart wide open
Standing in the aftermath
If I fall, I fall forward
I won’t ever take one step back

I’m higher than the hurt
So much stronger than the words they threw
Every scar is just a paragraph

You can watch me rise with main character energy
I’m so much higher than the hurt”

“Dancing With The Devil” is a single by American girl group ‘CLEO’, marking the fourth official single by the five-piece pop group since their debut back in January 2026, it also marks the final single to be released from their upcoming debut E.P ‘Introduction CLEO’ which is expected to drop immediately following the release of this final single from the debut project. Their latest offering follows on from previous singles, “Forever, Stronger, Together”, “Wildest Dreams” and “The Hurt” which all managed to crack the top five of the singles chart upon release and help to showcase the varying range and styles of the music industries latest girl group, with their first release being an rnb influenced ballad, it’s follow-up being a high energy electronic influenced dance-pop track and their most recent release falling into complete pop ballad territory. This has led the girl group to receiving a lot of praise from fans and industry names alike which has generated a buzz around the group ahead of the release of their debut E.P, as well as build anticipation for their eventual debut album.

It’s expected that their debut album will follow in late 2026 or early 2027 as the group are currently in the studio crafting what will become their debut full length release, having already completed the recording of their ‘Introducing CLEO’ E.P in early March 2026 ahead of its April 2026 release. Their latest offering “Dancing With The Devil” was written in January 2026 by songwriter Abella Diaz alongside group members Leilani Monet, Olivia Monroe and Oriana Cruz and the track was produced by renowned Latin-pop producer BLOOM, who had previously produced their second single “Wildest Dreams” and returns to the production booth on this latest single from the group. With the track set to be the final single from their ‘Introducing CLEO’ E.P, it’s hoped that it can follow in the same positive response of their first three efforts up to this point.

The track will be released through Royale Vices & Virtues INC and made available as a digital download as well as being made available to weekly airplay and worldwide streaming across all major streaming platforms from April 26, 2026.

Song Description;

The track opens with a sultry, bass-lead instrumental grove that immediately establishes the songs more playful and seductive tone, with soundscapes that the track a summer or Latin-influenced vibe. A synth riff repeats over a soft beat and additional soft percussion can be heard, giving the instrumental a laid-back but infectious tone. The production immediately sets the mood, confident, teasing with a little hint at danger as Olivia Monroe kicks things off with repeated, seductive phrasing of “Mmm Mhm Mmm” tones and Oriana following up each tone with “Oh” ad-lib’s alongside them, giving the track an intro to intrigue listeners and bring them immediately into the track’s flirtatious tone.

As the first verse begins, the lead vocal from Tiana Monet enters with a smooth, self-assured delivery. Carrying a tone that balances sweetness in the vocal delivery but the underlying hint at mischief within it’s lyrical content as she sings the opening portion of the first verse, “He said he thought I was an angel/Oh boy, don’t you listen/Nice lips, pretty face, great figure/But I told you I’m a danger/Cause I love the attention, yeah, I’m a fiend for misbehaviour.” which immediately establishes the narrative, essentially rejecting the “perfect girl” archetype in favour of something a little more unpredictable without veering into graphic and adult lyricism. As Tiana finishes her half of the opening verse, she’s immediately followed by her sister Leilani who’s vocal delivery is powerful and immensely alluring as she leans into themes of self-awareness and playful rebellion, “Ain’t nobody perfect/I ain’t looking for a saviour/Just someone to have some fun with/Someone on my level/Just someone I can run with/Yeah, have a little fun with the devil.” which feels like it’s delivered with a charm rather than as a actual warning.

The songs pre-chorus hook arrives, following on from the closing sentiments of the opening verse perfectly as the music rises in melody and rhythm with Chloe Rae Brooks delivering in her softer, more subtle flirtatious tones as opposed to the clear seductiveness heard in Leilani’s vocal delivery, Chloe sings “I just want to have some fun/I don’t wanna be an angel/I ain’t perfect/I like the danger/Let’s not rush this, let’s be young.” which acts as the mission statement of the song, with the vocal arrangement expanding to create a sense of underlying youthful exuberance rather than full on sexuality. The vocal delivery from Chloe is immediately followed by a chorus that see’s all the girls sing in harmony.
As the chorus hits, the production fully leans into it’s mainstream pop appeal. The beat becoming punchier, the bassline more dominant and the vocal harmonies between all the girls help to create a fuller more anthemic sound. “I just like to have some fun, don’t put your halo on me/I never wanna be a perfect angel/It just ain’t in my destiny/I ain’t perfect, I like the danger/If you can keep up then you can vibe with me/Come on boy, try to get on my level/You could have so much fun, dancing with the devil/So much fun/Dancing with the devil.” which feels catchy and rhythmic in way that feels almost tailor-made for radio and nightclub play throughout the summer.

The second verse see’s a slight pullback in the instrumental, bringing back a minimal tone while allowing a more intimate vocal back and forth between Olivia and Oriana, their uniquely different tones from one another creating a memorable moment within the song as Olivia sings, “Nobody really wanna play it serious/Always drawn to the flame.” which is immediately followed up by Oriana as she sings, “I like to keep things a little more mysterious/We don’t even need to know names.” which combined with her vocal delivery, adds an extra layer of seductiveness to the song before Olivia continues in that vibe, “Let’s keep this to one night/A perfect memory.” while Oriana follows up once more, adding emphasis to Olivia’s sentiments, “Never to be replicated/Only ever repeated in my wildest dreams.” adding a slight playful tongue-in-cheek tone to the track’s overall flirty nature. We arrive with another pre-chorus hook provided by Chloe Rae Brooks once more, which then follows back into the songs chorus, sung by all the girls in harmony once more before the song fades out to it’s infectious beat and energy.

“Mmm Mhm Mmm (Oh)
Mhmm Mmm Mhmm (Oh, Oh)
Mmm Mhm Mmm (Oh)
Mhmm Mmm Mhmm (Oh, Oh, Oh)

He said he thought I was an angel
Oh boy, don’t you listen
Nice lips, pretty face, great figure
But I told you I’m a danger
Cause I love the attention, yeah, I’m a fiend for misbehaviour

Ain’t nobody perfect
I ain’t looking for a saviour
Just someone to have some fun with
Someone on my level
Just someone I can run with
Yeah, have a little fun with the devil

I just want to have some fun
I don’t wanna be an angel
I ain’t perfect
I like the danger
Let’s not rush this, let’s be young

I just like to have some fun, don’t put your halo on me
I never wanna be a perfect angel
It just ain’t in my destiny
I ain’t perfect, I like the danger
If you can keep up then you can vibe with me
Come on boy, try to get on my level
You could have so much fun, dancing with the devil
So much fun
Dancing with the devil

Nobody really wanna play it serious
Always drawn to the flame

I like to keep things a little more mysterious
We don’t even need to know names

Let’s keep this to one night
A perfect memory

Never to be replicated
Only ever repeated in my wildest dreams

I just want to have some fun
I don’t wanna be an angel
I ain’t perfect
I like the danger
Let’s not rush this, let’s be young

I just like to have some fun, don’t put your halo on me
I never wanna be a perfect angel
It just ain’t in my destiny
I ain’t perfect, I like the danger
If you can keep up then you can vibe with me
Come on boy, try to get on my level
You could have so much fun, dancing with the devil
So much fun
Dancing with the devil”

Billy: This is an impressive little project you've unleased upon us. I've been becoming more and more of a fan with each passing release. There's not only a high quality to all of your tracks but a true sense of identity. It takes many acts a few stabs at it before finding their signature flavour never mind a group of 'strangers' who were formed not too long ago. I know what that's like and it makes it all the more impressive. You ladies have already planted deep roots within the industry with this EP and you'll only continue to flourish and grow. As the title suggests, this is merely an introduction not a definition of what CLEO is but when you're already sounding so refined this early on...I can't wait to hear what a full album has in store!

OOC: You've been on a roll with launching acts as of late. I think Jack and CLEO already have such strong sense of identity within their debut eras! The launch and lead up to this has been perfectly executed. Not only is each individual song of high quality but everything surrounding the CLEO project has been fine tuned to a T; the thread, the individual personalities and the soft launch of an introductory EP for a true sense of realism. I'm sure you could have easily come out the gate swinging with a wonderful full length album for them but an EP really does feel right for a new act being built from the ground up. As someone who handles a lot of groups, I know the difficulties that can sometimes come with delegating and creating unique personalities, roles, stories and all of that within the one camp so I take my hat off to you for doing so well with CLEO! Wonderful work as always, my friend!

Leilani: We definitely hoped we could offer something different from each individual release and still have a unique recognizable collective sound. A lot of times, people just being thrown together doesn't always work or last, but I feel like we've already bonded and fallen into a friendship with each other that feels like has been years rather than just months. We were all super excited and ambitious to get a project out as soon as we could and we're proud of this first release. We're already working on the debut album and it already feels like we're levelling up with some of the early stuff we've recorded for it. Hopefully it can build on this project and people enjoy it! Thanks for your kind words, we still definitely have to pinch ourselves each time an icon even acknowledges us. It means a lot!

OOC: Thank you! I have put a little more focus on background and identity of my new characters recently, I think the bts thread for CLEO has definitely helped me to flesh out who they all are as individuals. I've enjoyed figuring out how to write in a way that feels fitting to a female pop group, structuring sections of the songs and stuff like that. But it's been fun to try to figure it out. I like the idea of putting out an EP first because it gives a little something to work with when it comes to doing the full album. Thanks again for your kind words, I appreciate it as always! :)
