That about the extent of who I give a shite about. I hate award shows, because they always nominate who is popular at the moment and who all the little teenagers are listening to rather than those who actually made the best music, not saying AC/DC did, but the ones who did, weren't nominated.

OK, I'm sorry. Best Metal Performance? Nob right off with this shit, Slayer, Judas Priest, fucking Megadave? The new Megadave is dire. Did these people not hear Mastodon's Oblivion? But never mind that, why is there no award for metal album? Metal isn't about singles, it's about albums, and 'Crack The Skye' is a shoe-in. But no, we get a pop album award when 50% of pop records are the singles and the other 50% is little more than hastily thrown together filler, instantly forgettable pap. Stupid. No Mastodon nomination for anything aside from a mention in Best Producer is a crime because I'm struggling to think of a better album that I've heard in 09.

Interesting to see an album that Paul owns nominated, 'Everything That Happens Will Happen Today' by Byrne & Eno for Best Alternative Music Album.

Didn't know Mos Def had a new record out. Hope it's up to the standards of Black On Both Sides, need to keep an eye out for that.

Cool to see Steve Earle nominated, 'Townes' is a good record.

There's an award for Best Album Notes? That's actually quite fucking cool. And "The Complete Louis Armstrong Decca Sessions (35-46) sounds like it'd be a bitchin' release.

The Grammys are totally about the really fascinating awards right at the bottom of the list that didn't even realise existed.

Well many of the categories Beyonce is nominated is well deserved in my opinion. But what is odd to me is the Grammy's manage to recognize the underground or not so popular stuff from Beyonce. That's why I say is odd.

That's why I put "In my opinion" ;) Like I said ALL award shows are opinionated and will never be fair. But still watch them, mainly to see who is going to win and what performances are gonna go down. And if one of my favorite artists wins, then I get happy if not "Fu** you Grammy judges".

Like most awards these days, it will all be about Taylor Swift. Although Beyonce has the most nominations, I feel Taylor is going to be the big winner at the Grammy's. But I don't agree with many of the nominations. As long as the most overrated group in history The Black Eyed Peas don't win anything, 'Use Somebody' finally wins an award it's nominated for and 'Beautiful' wins best rap solo performance I'll be happy. Hopefully the performances are better than last years.

I personally do not like Taylor Swift, I only like two songs of hers. And no its not "You Belong With Me". I like "A Picture To Burn" and "Love Story". Anyway instead of saying she or anyone less is overrated, judge there talent instead. Say why shouldn't that song be nominated in the first place. I can see why Taylor Swift was nominated so many times since she has set a milestone for Country Pop artists.

I have a feeling Taylor Swift will only win like 1 or 2. Hers songs are good but in my opinion she does not deserve all those categories. For once The Grammy's look like a joke to me.
