Jason: Fortunately, due to easiness in the recording process, our demo will be out very shortly. 21st November, we're coming for you! I want to all to be listening and starting a mosh pit from the comfort of your own home

Bugger, you found the secret message! MindBodySoul has a hidden bonus track a minute after Dulce Bellum Inexpertis. I hate you.

Hoorah! The Demo is complete and is ready for release.

You can get it from this website here! The track listing is as follows:

1. Wake Up

A cover of a very old Shabutie song, Wake Up combines an awesome bassline with that old brutality we all love of Shabutie.

2. Never Say Sorry

A melodic song which eventually turns sour. It still rocks though, so be prepared to have eargasms a plenty.

3. Blackened Souls

The brutal speed metal finaliser at the end of Never Say Sorry not enough? Listen to this, you'll be dead by the end of it.

4. Dulce Bellum Inexpertis

Nope, me neither.

Hoorah! We finally have a review up. It's not too shabby either. Read.

Smash Reviews wrote:
Mind - Cascade of Blood

Meet Mind, a hardcore/metal band out to make a name for themselves. Now when you think Hardcore, you think Failed Youth. But this is definitely metallyer than Failed Youth. Possibly not lyrically, as Failed Youth came out with some pretty twisted tormented shit, but musically you certainly get a far more metal air about them.

And so here is there new single – Cascade of Blood. Beautifully titled and indeed quite appropriately. The lyrics are generally about some Roman dude or something, but the band kind of lack the musical experience to experiment to such a level, but good on them for doing something like it. Not that the lyrics are bad, there certainly not Girlspice, just it almost seems they went for something that was slightly out of their league. The song’s subject is almost something Bikki would do, and obviously comparing one of the most lyrically gifted musical talents to a band who’ve barely had the time of day from indeed any publicity is slightly unfair. But if you’re going to cut it in this industry, you have to be realistic about your targets and think about developing advanced story ideas later on, once you’ve got the ground sturdy, which they seem to not. Their vocabulary isn’t really complex enough to really push the idea home, but once again, it was a valiant effort from the band.

Now, the slightly almost bad points out of the way, lets talk about the good. Which, thankfully, is pretty much everything else.

The song does a brilliant job of taking you from industrial to almost proggy solo, which is brilliant and the best part of the song. The song at no point feels like its split in two, and the breakdown in between the two merges them together brilliantly in a moment that makes you feel like the solar system is being sucked in around you. Yeah, it’s pretty epic. On top of this, the solo is a fantastic display of guitar skill which the band has bags of and they possibly should have shown this off a bit more. Yeah, I want more solo.

There are no real flaws in it musically, aside from being a incy bit too cliché at parts and slightly, I hate to use the term, but slightly recycled at bits. Not exactly groundbreaking this then, but certainly a decent first outing for the band.

Overall

77%

This is only the start of a musical journey. We shall rule!!

Our musical journey is in the process of creation. We're getting some songs together now, so ideas people?

Songs confirmed for release:

Cascade Of Blood
Never Say Sorry
Chromosome 13
Elven City
Tasteless

At the moment, they're all pretty powerful songs. With Cascade of Blood already released and selling a few copies, we hope that we can squeeze out a bit more.

If possible, we might do a few collabs with some people. Hopefully, fingers crossed. Any takers? Pray

New single announced:

Blasphemy!

With B-sides Moon and Sunna Strait

Buy here: http://www.therockstargame.com/info_single.asp?SingleID=6301

Okay, a bit out of the blue, but I think this could be our best song to date. We've got a really good producer on this one and Blasphemy! is something we're really proud of.

OOC: Woop woop! I got a 100-rated song :D Even though it's only 93 overall :/

Free Your Mind track listing confirmed:

1. Knights March

A simple epic intro. A classical song performed by a ensemble and composed by Hans Zimmer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmnYUCln6bQ

2. Free Your Mind

A ear-aching drum solo kciks the song off, until the guitar kicks in when suddenly it turns into a 80s style Thrash/Death hybrid along the lines of Possessed or early Sepultura. The solo is the fastest on the album, although it only lasts about 30 seconds.

3. Blasphemy!

From the single Blashpemy!, this is an Alternative Metal song, with a terrifyingly crunching riff which then turns into a medieval style song with a flute for the bridge before yet again returning with a huge solo. A bit weird.

4. Elven City

The only true "progressive" song on the album, Elven City is slow, yet devestating and lethal at the sime time. The first segment of it is an acoustic piece which is quite ballady before being ended with a single guitar note and going into a progressive riff. After that, it goes into the lengthy solo before fading out slowly.

5. Cascade Of Blood.

From the single of the same name. The opening riff begins and then suddenly the high hat kicks in. For the first 2 minutes it seems unremmarkable, simply Nu-Industrial, but then it goes into a huge breakdown before finally slipping into the complex solo, which reminisces of the most powerful guitarists, such as Herman Li or Rusty Cooley. The song is about Hannibal the Annihalator and his unmerciful war on Rome.

6. Moon

Also taken from the single Blasphemy! Moon is a simple Alt. Metal ballad, along the lines a band like Staind would do. Not much to say about this one, apart from it contains the simplest solo on the album, being slow and not containing any type of distortion or pedals.

7. Chromosome 13 (Rectoblastoma)

From a ballad to the most brutal song on the whole album, Chromosome 13 combines the terrifying Death Metal of Morbid Angel with the speed and mosh-pitting powers of Venom. The solo is much like that on Free Your Mind, although longer and with more tune involved.

8. Tasteless

A technical-industrial piece that offers a bit of a rest after the viscocity of Chromosome 13. Although containing clean vocals this time around, it still manages to seem heavy. The solo is more of a guitar duel this time, between lead singer Jason Smith and lead guitarist Aaron Del Potro. He probably won it.

9. Never Say Sorry

The song is a tribute to a close friend of Jason Smiths. It starts off with a beautiful acoustic piece, before going into the chorus and, although still melodic, turns harder and into electric. The second verse is then played with the electric, before going into the chorus once more. The solo then begins, although it is fairly slow and drifty. After this, the chorus is played once more before turning into vicous speed metal for the closing minute. It is on Cascade of Blood.

10. Sunda Strait

A tribute to victims of mount Krakatau, it is an instrumental that was originally a filler on the Blasphemy! single. It is a neo-classical piece like Yngwie Malmsteen and Canvas Solaris.

11. Almost Again (Strapping Young Lad cover)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwuReRw23_0 Don't put it too loud, it once blew my speakers.Brick wall

We still need to get our name out there, so if anyone needs a metal/punk/rock support act, we're right here!

To all you Mind fans who can't wait for our debut here's a little treat, lyrics to our new single Blasphemy!, definitely not the lightest we've produced:

Heretic!

Thrown into the slumbering gates of hell,
A beast beneath the Earths crust awaits,
Drowning in a sea of your own blood,
Fuelled by anger and hate,

Torn into the fiery depths of hell,
Beezlebub, hear us mighty lord,
Sodomiser, you shall pay your fate,
Feel the deathly blade of Satans sword!

Heretic!

Sinner!

You shall die again!

*Medieval style bridge with flute, pipes and drums*

*Solo from HELL!*

Heretic!

Heretic!

Heretic!

Torn into the fiery depths of hell,
Beezlebub, hear us mighty lord,
Sodomiser, you shall pay your fate,
Feel the deathly blade of Satans sword!

Can you feel it?,
Can you feel it burning?
Can you feel it?,
BURNING!
Can you feel it?
Can you feel it burning?
Can you feel it?,
BURNIIIIIING!

OOC: I know it's not very good, but it was written in the space of 3 minutes.

Tah-dah! Our album is finally released. Will this day be marked in metal history? No, no it won't, but with some practice (a lot of money and a good record label) we could, well, you know, be actually good and make metal history.

Go on, review it. We need feedback desperately.

Hey, just a quick update here. In support of our new album (Free Your Mind) tickets are still available for the tour. Although we're a pretty small band, if anyone wants to help us out a little bit, that would be awesome.

ALSO! some merch in support of it is available.

Updating a few stuff. Mind fans will be happy to hear that we're working on our next album already. Woah woah, only writing songs at the moment, don't get too excited now.
