You can import audio, via a sampler, but not record audio directly.

ah, okay. I know how to record voice separately, but I don't know if it's called a sampler.

Okay:

A sampler is this context is a piece of software that plays an audio file, or multiple audio files as required by the user. You can have one long sample that can be pitched up and pitched down, you can have many short samples each attached to one MIDI note (like, one key on a keyboard), and various other configurations. That in basic is a sampler. Some are designed for drums (Reason has some pretty big sample libraries, particularly drums), others for looped samples, others for pitched samples.

Also a note that the term sample in audio refers to two main things that are in layman's terms different things (though essentially derived from the same concept). A sample in the context of a sampler is a piece of audio of any defined length. A sample in the context of samplerate, or sample-based editing, that refers to the smallest possible length of audio, and is largely used regarding configuration. A single sample is a binary code the length of the audio's bit depth. 16 bit (bit depth) 44.1kHz (samplerate) audio means that every 1/44100 of a second 16 binary digits define the actual amplitude of the waveform, and each sample can be one of 65536 different values. If you want to see this, take a wave editor and keep zooming in as far as you possibly can, until the audio is made up of a series of steps. Each step is one single sample.

But then I'm sure you already knew that...

Just max-out your dad's credit card on recording equipment like Thomas did.
Too much leather chair is unsightly and greatly increases your risk of leather-smell.
