This one does it every time. The music video took place in Puerto Rico and I saw when they were doing it.

Not actual tears, but I can feel them coming on:

A Silver Mt. Zion - Movie (Never Made)
Hopelessness, despair, the mess of tangled lives, and a beloved dog dying of cancer. Oh it's a cheerful place Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band - This Gentle Hearts Like Shot Bird's Fallen
Instrumental to boot.

Thee Silver Mountain Reveries - There's a River in the Valley Made of Melting Snow
This rings true.

Vic Chesnutt - Flirted With You All My Life
Despite having a lilting Caribbean twang, this is the heart-wrenching tale of a suicidal man.

Tom Waits - Day After Tomorrow
A letter from a solider.

Porcupine Tree - Heartattack in a Lay By
Incredible harmonies.

Porcupine Tree - Collapse the Light Into Earth
From the same friggin' album.

Sackville - This Machine
Sounds like a folk song from the end of the entire human race.

The Flaming Lips - Feeling Yourself Disintegrate
The biggest downer of their entire career.

Big Country - Chance
For personal reasons.

Yes - Turn of the Century
About 5:15 in, yowzer.

Talking Heads - This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)
"I have written a love song though; In this film I sing it to a lamp."

Like Gildy, no tears, but I do feel something.

Alice in Chains - Don't Follow
Not for sadness, but I feel a comforting feeling whenever I listen to it. Can't explain really.
My funeral song.

Alice in Chains - Am I Inside?
So amazing and beautiful.

Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm
If you listen, you'll understand.

Totally agree with that.

Also,

IRO-Bot - Coheed and Cambria
Dunno why, it just does.

Satans Ice Cream Truck - Strapping Young Lad
With laughter.

The Climb - Miley Cyrus
It sucks THAT bad.

Aerials - System of a Down
A fairly deep song, System don't do that very often, yet they're still me fave band.

And no.1 on the tear-jerking songs chart for me...

Paradise Lost - Symphony X
Not too sad, nor emotional, but just so epic, it brings you to tears.
Awards (stroking myself and thinking I'm superior):
@Chaos awards:
Best Band - Mind
Best Album - Shattered Fairytale by Mind
Technical Ecstasy - Jason Smith (x3)
Best Solo Male - Jason Smith

A song has yet to make me cry, but there are many that give off alot of emotion. Such as...

Shinedown - Burning Bright

My Chemical Romace - Cancer

Blue October - Congradulations

David Bowey - Space Oddity

My Chemical Romace - Disenchanted

Trivium - Dying in Your Arms (only because the last verse is so epic.)

Coheed and Cambria - the End Complete IV: The Road and the Damned

Straylight Run - Existentialism on Prom Night

Hawthorne Heights - Four Becomes One

My Chemical Romace - Ghost of You

Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek

Stone Sour - I Can't Believe

Avenged Sevenfold - I Won't See You Tonight Part 1

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris

Linkin Park - Leave Out All The Rest

Coheed and Cambria - The Light and the Glass

The Devil Wears Prada - Louder Than Thunder

Coheed and Cambria - Mother Superior

Guns N Roses - November Rain

Guns N Roses - Patience

Broadway - The Same Thing We Do Everyday, Pinky

Coldplay - The Scientist

Queensryche - Silent Lucidity

Slipknot - Snuff

System of a Down - Soldier Side

Atreyu - The Theft

Pink Floyd - Vera

Slipknot - Vermillion Part 2

John Lennon - Working Class Hero

Stone Sour - Zzyzx Road

Long list, yes. Meaningless, no.

The only song that has really made me cry is James - "Lullaby".
There are loads that make me feel emotional, but this is the only one that I've ever cried to.

Personally, Johnny Cash doing 'Hurt' is far more emotionaly impressive than listening to Reznor do it.

I knew someone was going to bring it up :P

But like you said, it's just preference. Cash's versions amazing, and probably better, but for some reason Reznor's brings out more emotions in me. Still, both are class versions of the song.

While I am often an emotional wreck, this has been the only song that ever took me from deeply upset to tears all on its own.

Sadly, I can't find a studio version of the song on Youtube, Roadrunner are cunts.

Use [youtube ] and then the URL and then [/youtube ]

But remove the spaces from inside the parentheses. The board allows BBCode, not HTML
