So, there are a lot of different types of fan fiction now, written, filmed, even drawn. But I was wondering what all of your opinions on the subject are. Are they good for the original stories, can they hurt the original, should they be stopped by the creators, and of course...know of any really good ones? Here are my three favorite - WWW.JAMESPOTTERSERIES.COMIts basically a sequel to Harry Potter, about his son James. It may sound stupid, but the author really does a great job of making it work, and they are just as good as the original. They are also very long, in fact they are just as long as the HP books. |

Anyone else heard of Tara Gilesbie's "My Immortal"? Possibly the most famous Harry Potter fanfic and/or brain-melting pile of crap ever written. My favourite quote from it is, "I'm not related to Gerard Way but I wish I was because he's a major fucking hottie." LOL WUT!? I write fanfiction, not Harry Potter stuff, All Time Low fanfics. I've written three - "The Ninjacracker" (total crap, though not quite "My Immortal" level crap), "Curiosity Kills" (not a bad fic despite its fairly linear storyline, also it's my first attempt at slash and I'm not a bad porn writer) and "K.I.S.S." If you don't like it, don't read it - most fanfic authors will say if it contains slash or femslash. And even as a slash author, some still slightly freaks me out. Mpreg, no matter who the characters are, is the worst idea ever to come to fanfics. Extreme crossovers, eg. Gerard Way having it orf with Tinky Winky, are just wrong (the idea of MCR/Teletubbies fanfics with no sex, however, is lulzworthy) .... even if it's from the same fandom, I said I love the characters of James and Meowth, but NO. |

On a less creepy and non-slash-related note, I think that someone in RP should write a Stephanie Fierce fanfic. It'd be realistic considering her fame, it'd be fun, especially if they have the writing skills of Enoby (maybe more readable, but BRING ON THE FREUDIAN SLIPS) - even better if it's a Stephanie Fierce, Harry Potter & Teletubbies crossover! |

I used to be pretty much addictive to anime fanfic porn mostly yaoi(gay)lol. but now i dont read fanfics usually though sometimes i get bored and see if there are any good new writers, i could probably write a TRSG fanfic. |
