Okay, so, how many of you guys actually listen to the radio? I don’t too much anymore. It's mostly just mainstream “rock” crap, and hip hop bullshit. When I listened to the radio a while back, it seemed more fun, but now it seems like it's been corrupted, like only songs that don't mean anything or songs with a catchy beat are worth listening to on the radio. Either that or it has to be Nickelback.

I remember when my local rock station actually played extreme metal, i.e. Autopsy and the such. Then they went off the air for 5 years, came back last year, and their playlist is dominated by Nickelback and AC/DC. And that is probably one of the definitions of suck.

As far as the radio goes, well, there is the football on Saturdays that I listen to on BBC Radio Scotland.

That's about it.

I kind of like the static between stations. That's about it though.

I listen to my mainstream rock radio usually, it's a decent stations, lots of 90s one hit wonders and such. And the new hits with the exception of Green Day that they play are pretty damn good especially this one.

i love this song so much really good chorus. I occasionally listen to the rap stations, I like the 2 Jay-z hits "Run this town" and "Empire State of mine" he's a good rapper I prefer 90s and 8-s rap though Straight Outta Compton biatch.

I listen to Radio 1 on the school bus every school day.

And Tension, don't compare yourself to Ronnie Radke. There's no similarities. :P

After my mother put a cd player on her car, I don't care about radio anymore.
The only things they play are the brazilian genres like Funk, Pagode, Sertanejo and stuff. Or pop and mainstream hip hop.
I own:

Andrew Guinnard (Post-punk/acoustic)
Lucy Tankeray (Pop diva/weird)

It's not even a joke. I honestly hate radio, but I love the texture of the static, how it phases and shifts, and scanning for really quiet distant foreign language stations you can barely make out, half-buried in the noise. And if I could ever find a numbers station, that'd be great.

The only time I am actively listening to the radio is for sports broadcasts, other times it's just on as background such as when I am driving..I am not really paying a great deal of attention to it.

Also, radio in the car makes me feel carsick, for reasons that make no physiological sense I can think of - even if the radio is off the waves are still there. I can only guess it's the compressed audio itself that is literally so vile to my ears that it makes me physically sick - but that sounds like something I'd have made up to sound posh. Could be a subliminal high frequency. Honestly though, it's really horrible, especially on a long drive.

My uncle does that too.We were driving somewhere and he turned on the radio and it was like some hardcore rap station and the person rapping was like "Fuck that bitch! Shoot that nigga!"
So I was like what the fuck and he just said "What happened?"

Chevelle is the only rock I can usually find on the radio every now and then that's actually worth listening to. I'm not gonna lie sometimes I catch myself listening to the radio alot sometimes I don't never turn it on. But when I do I'm usually listening to a hip-hop station because I actually like a lot of hip hop right now and they have less commercials where I'm from then the other radio stations.

As in there are popular songs on it? Well I never...

The whole point of the radio mainly is to play popular song's to get people to listen to it, and unless your listening to a show about upcoming/unheard of bands then don't be too suprised if all they do is play the song at number 1.

I'm not suprised, i'm just saying they play the same songs which is what they have to do i know that but i'm just saying that i don't listen to the radio very much because it's boring and predictable.

Sorry, that came out a bit ass-ey. I was just saying that the radio is predictable, 'cos that's just what it is so you can't really say that's a bad thing because that's what it is. Still, I'm sure there are some cool unpredicable radio stations out there I just mean mainstream like Radio 1, Kiss, etc.

The only time the radio worms its way to my ears is on the bus I take to college every morning, via a shit-quality overhead, so it's more like a static drone with an occasional word or melody.

I pay no notice.
