I've been hurt a lot of times too. Mad J was the worst case, but I always seem to pick up the high maintenance ones. Even my "current" relationship seems to have turned to dust. She's the best person I've ever dated, but I can't give her what she needs, it's complicated. But anyway, it doesn't mean that you have to hold back forever. If you don't want to date then don't, but don't force yourself to stop dating if you do want to, just because of a few bad experiences.

My sister tells me that all the time. But I'm afraid of yet another abusive relationship. It's hard since I'm now trying to get more into women. But I'm so sentimental that I guess I scare them away. It sucks.

If you're a bad person for this, than so am I.

Funny this came up, just yesterday, my ex called me saying that he broke up with his girlfriend and moved back in with his parents so we could be together. He apparently seemed to have no idea I was already with Nic, and it was horrendously awkward.

The bright side is, I made him an emotional wreck. I am proud of myself. Dancing

Too young to have call an ex a d*ck. Nothing really terrible can 13-14 year old chicks do to be horrible.......but then again, it could be what they don't do.

I had a girlfriend who cheated on me in the year above and I was depressed for about three/four months, aside from that relationships have been alright I guess. And please don't go off on a 'you can't be in love at your age' rant, cos I'll just get annoyed. :P

no, I'm just saying that teenagers have rather greedy love. We date people for about a week just to show off to other classmates, and we don't care that the other person does that cuz you would be doing the exact same thing.

I've known her for about 4 years, been best friends from then til now, and if you add up all the time I was going out with her for it's probably about a year and a bit? Which is quite a lot considering I'm 14, and I was in love with her, believe me. It wasn't greedy love, I mean I don't know what your on about but the last time I thought in THAT frame of mind was when I was about 9. I know you didn't mean to be a dick, I was just saying.

wow, it's just not that many teens are ACTUALLY in love. They just like somebody, get bored, and go on with somebody else.

Yeah, I know but oh well. Still, I know I'll probs get a kicking from Daniel for saying this but I'm quite mature for my age, and so are all my mates cos most of us have older brothers, and I've always prefered the company of older people. And girls. Lot's of girls. They're far more interesting than boys.

No Daniel, I'm not gay.

I have two brothers, one older and another younger, and I've kinda seen the light of society as really just being a programmed machine, and most of my friends don't, but I don't care. I'm just friends with them cuz, I'm a little retarded too.

I think the current 13 to 16 year olds are a lot more mature than say 2000's 13 to 16 year olds and were more mature at 9 to 12 than the current 9 to 12 year olds as well. Its like a gifted generation or some crap like that.

yeah, I've noticed, esecially the current freshmen, all the nerds, jockys, chicks, etc. are all close friends in that grade. But my grade, 8th, everyone is kinda a bitch to one another, yet, we are top in the state.

Why should it scare you, pehaps we are meant to be new leaders, I dont know but you have to admit the way the current generation interacts with each other and their life outlooks are much more mature than those ahead of them and behind them.

Actually, now that I remember we did this study in my college class on interactions. And due to people having myspace, facebook and dating sites, people are more likely to become worse at communication because of it. Everything is now said online. Back then everything was said either in person or by the phone. Now hardly anyone uses the phone as in using your voice. We have texting, myspace or chatting to do the talking for us. Making it easier to express yourself.

What you say its not necessarily true. Everyone now has the internet to answer all their questions, and that's why I'm scared because what will the next generation have?

They probably will have robots to do the talking for them or virtual clones. That's what I'm scared of!
