Just kinda wanted to bring this up. Our school has a GSA club (Gay-Straight Alliance), and there are a lot of gay people here, and so I'm wondering, how do you feel about schools trying to promote people's choices, such as being gay, through a high school club? |

To be fair, people of the age where they can be sure of their sexuality probably aren't interested in high school clubs. On the other hand, knowing it's there is probably nice. Gays aren't encouraged where I'm from haha. |

Wtf is a gay-straight alliance??
I'm not being funny, but if your gay I really couldn't care less. Where you stick your willy and where you like others to put there's doesn't affect me in the slightest. Why is there a need for a gay-straight alliance? Surely if you go to it you're going to get bullied a hell of a lot more. Yeah sure have a place where you can go and talk to people, but make it for everyone to go to. Calling it gay-straight alliance just basically informs all the bullies that your a puff or a puff-collaborator and you're going to get picked on, because as 'confidential' this kinda stuff is, nothing can be confidential in high school. Hell I know that my two best friends go to the same psychiatrist because they're both complete nutcases, and I know that one of them has a emotional/social disorder thing and the other one just want's to be a complete ass - and neither of them have even mentioned they GO to a psychiatrist, never mind the reasons for it.
All this 'oh my god I'm gay everybody look at me' kind of stuff just pisses me off. It's the same with black people/jews/women whatever. It just furthers the prejudices because it causes social divides where there really isn't a need for one. If anyone lets someone being black or someone being gay affect their opinion on them they need their head seeing to, plain and simple. Because having a GSA just makes homosexuality fucking comical, when it's not, it's just something that someone believes in and there is NO need for a group about it. Help groups are good if they're for everyone and can talk about anything, ones that single out problems are not.
Now, time to go lynch some homo's... |

AJ, once again you've shined the brilliance that was somewhat obvious, but couldn't be told in words, until now that is. But, it ain't that bad in my school you can be gay here and no one will fucking care. Well, a few people will still kinda hate you and there might be a little drift amongst others, nothing really big though, but overall, it's nothing really bad. But, also, there aren't many gays in the group to start with, mainly cuz most of the members are girls who just want to look caring or respectful, which is kinda far from the truth. |
